Now it's time to play - Would You Eat This?

My response? I don't think you could force me to watch someone eat it, let alone eat it myself. :queasy:

Isaac 03-29-2006 03:00 PM

Yuck!

Why don't they just inject the fat right into your veins !?

Alex 03-29-2006 03:34 PM

I don't eat beef or Kripy Kreme donuts (worst donuts on earth in my minority opinion) but if they did it with a turkey burger and donut with more substance I'd probably try it just to have tried it (that is, the same reason I've tried most of the disgusting things I've eaten).

I have no expectation it would taste good, though. Maybe if you used an unglazed cake donut.

YES!!! I'm glad someone else agree with me! I hate them too!

SzczerbiakManiac 03-29-2006 04:24 PM

The article says the Donut Burger has about 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat. That's actually not that bad (relatively speaking) compared to other popular burgers:

make that two. I much prefer greasy regular old donut shop donuts to crispys

and that 'burger'ish POS thing............uh...........

no :(

tracilicious 03-29-2006 04:36 PM

Hooray! Let's see if America can get even fatter!

I'd eat nearly anything if I were paid enough though.

Mousey Girl 03-29-2006 04:43 PM

There is a upper end restaraunt in Vegas that serves a "donut burger" as a desert item. The main difference is that it only resembles a burger, but is made with differnt fruits and desert items.

I will try anything once - at least a bite or two, before becomming contemptious. But this doesn't sounds terribly appealing. I have no problem with the sweet/savory combination, I just don't like donuts all that much.

Cadaverous Pallor 03-29-2006 06:48 PM

I love Krispy Kremes and old school donuts alike....but I'd never eat a greasy patty on one. Yeeech.

CoasterMatt 03-29-2006 07:03 PM

I finished the 3 lb. burger at Rose City Diner by myself (it was a stupid high school thing), I'm sure that was far worse than this thing would be.

They deep fry just about anything - I've seen (or had) Twinkies, Snickers, Oreos, and Blocks O Cheese Deep Fried on a stick

Prudence 03-29-2006 09:43 PM

I will try just about anything with bacon. I don't know if I'd keep eating, but I'd try it.

Now I'm hungry. :(

Kevy Baby 03-29-2006 09:54 PM

Krispy Kreme: bleh

The concoction in the OP: hork

Snowflake 03-30-2006 05:30 AM

Pretty revolting thing to see first thing in the morning :)
I'm another of the "what IS the big deal about Krsipy Kreme donuts anyway?"
If I'm going to eat a donut, and nice old fashioned is my donut of choice.

Donut burger, my arteries are clogging just looking at it

Kevy Baby 03-30-2006 06:21 PM

I remember this concoction that we got up in Canada when we visited the Expo in 1986. It was basically a half pound cheeseburger with a Bratwurst (or some other fat sausage) sliced in half, grilled and added along with several slices of bacon.

You really had to squish it to try to fit your jaw around it.

Alex 03-30-2006 06:26 PM

Hey, when you were at Expo '86 do you recall a commotion caused by a little girl who tried to climb out of the parachute drop ride when it was at the top (due to her fear of height and not really thinking things through)?

If so, you were there the same day as me.

innerSpaceman 03-30-2006 06:40 PM

Why don't I even recall there being a parachute drop at Expo'86?

What a haze I lived my life in that week.

BarTopDancer 03-30-2006 07:31 PM

My memories of Expo '86 are a haze... but it's probably because I was 9.

I remember delicious hadock sandwiches. I think they were fried though.

Tramspotter 03-30-2006 09:43 PM

Not only would I eat it in between eating two bacon Mc Griddles polished off by a ultimate cheeseburger I might also have to buy two hundred and fifty dollars worth of pudding to complete the experience...

Bring me a bucket!

Well, that's a trip... we were there that day as well.

Gemini Cricket 03-31-2006 09:17 AM

CP ~ That pic is just wrong. I think I heard my heart gasp.
:D

Matterhorn Fan 04-01-2006 02:25 PM

I don't like Krispy Kremes either.

And I think I'm glad I didn't click the link in the OP.
