Poor baby. :( Good kitty!

It was probably meowing its way through trying to remember how it is a cat is supposed to sit on a newborn to suck its breath out. Probably didn't even realize it was thinking out loud. Never attribute feline behavior to good intentions, they have none.

I like how the story is accompanied by a picture of a cat that has nothing to do with the story.

So cynical, Alex. But I admit, when I read this, I imagined that the cat was actually just expressing his outrage that something was taking up his own personal porch space. I know my own fuzzbombs are awfully fussy about strangers sitting in their spots.

1. I'm this close to mojo-ing Alex . . .

2. Flippyshark--who comes over and sits in your cats' favorite boxes?

Cadaverous Pallor 04-17-2006 07:09 PM

Alex mojo.

So, if I hear a cat making a racket, I shouldn't throw something at it?

All you all forgetting how Scoundrel saved us from an intruder by waking us up? Cats are wonderful watch animals.

Oh, I assumed he woke you up every night, and there happened to be an intruder on that night. ;)

Why is it the noble dog- the same animal who greets you the same way whether you are returning from a month-long holiday or a trip out to the garbage bin- gets all this credit for saving lives and property, yet the cat doesn't? Our dog is a love, but dumb as a box of rocks. She eats cat litter, can't tell the difference between the real doorbell and one ringing on a tv show, and barks at everything equally ferociously, be it someone walking past the house, the UPS guy or relatives that she's known since puppyhood. The cats kill spiders and mice, so at least they're somewhat useful. They also eat a hell of a lot less.

That said, I still think the cat in the story above was just pissed that a kid was on his turf.:D
