Is anything going on May 23 & 24th?

I think this will be my last Disneyland trip for a while.

Not that I can plan anything but if anything is going on...

Please let me know here!!!

Oh, I will be back in town the 17th of June and if there is anything going on in DTD that would be cool...

H.O.B.?

Thanks in advance. I will get back on here when I can....

I'll be in Chicago those days - so where are you going? a National Park Swanking? The Awahnee is always a swanky destination.

Ooo, Chicago?! How fun!

Nah, sadly not the Awahnee. We are coming up to Disneyland those days with the boys as their AP's expire and I am trying to fit them in between their 6th grade activities. {that MOTolerance field trip being one, Soak City being another, as well as a trip to IMAX}.

Someday we will all have to hook up in Yosemite. But that is another thread what we could do as a group...I am not in for a hike up Half Dome but I can do Mist Trail....if it starts early in the morning...

Yeah we've been talking a swank camping trip for ages - maybe it's time to bring that up again

MouseWife 05-07-2006 10:49 AM

It would be fun. :snap:

The Hubster wants to go again this summer and a flier they sent me for the Housekeeping Camp {for $29./up to 4 people} got him all excited. But, it ends May 25th and there is no way we can go.

And, it is Housekeeping camp!!! But, that would be fun if blocks of units could be reserved. I saw groups like that the last {and only time} we stayed. They decorated it really nice with lights and had tables set up for games.

I will keep my eyes open for a thread if you guys plan a trip. Better, someone PM me is this happens....:D

Although it's getting to be to too warm out there now, Calico, http://www.calicotown.com/, is fun to camp at, they have a bunkhouse you can rent (we haven't tried it, we stayed at the tent campground). It has the Knott's angle (Walter Knott's wife gave him a choice: he could keep Calico, or the Berry Farm, he eventually donated Calico to SB county). They have group camping, and a really fun ghostwalk, http://www.calicoghostwalk.com/

MouseWife 05-08-2006 10:21 PM

I have heard of this place and actually have wanted to go there. I didn't realize {forgot} that Walter Knott gave it to SB.

But I think you may be right, it will be pretty hot there soon.

MouseWife 05-21-2006 11:11 AM

So...the time is almost here!! Yeah!!!

Umm...don't see that anyone is going to be there. Oh, okay. No problem.

I'm coming up again on a Saturday night {better odds, right?} and if there is some sort of sumthin' going on please post it.

I am meeting up with some chickies and we'll be doing a bit of strolling DtD before heading back to catch up on our lives {it's been a year since we've seen one another}.

I had a nice time I took a friend to meet the bunch of you. Actually, each time I've introduced any of you to my peeps they've said you were a fun cool bunch.

Oooh, is that brown nosing or what? :D But it is true!

Anywho, I'll be checking the calendar for June.

wendybeth 05-21-2006 11:17 AM

Pssst! MW! Junie 19th-24th! Hint-hint!:D

Not Afraid 05-21-2006 11:18 AM

I may be able to comeover to the Park in the afternoon on one o those days. I have to be here for a Fed Ex delivery that required my sig, so I'm sort of up in the air until I know more.

MouseWife 05-21-2006 11:36 AM

Ooo, wendybeth, keep me up to date for the June dates!!

Not Afraid, let me know. I'll pm you Ricks cell phone 'cause his is better than mine.

BarTopDancer 05-21-2006 11:40 AM

Awww! I want to be there so badly but there is no way I can make it :(

Now June maybe...

One of these days I'm just going to drive ShinyCar down to San Diego so we can get lunch.

MouseWife 05-21-2006 11:44 AM

I hope you do that! I love that name, ShinyCar!! I have an Escape and I just say we use it to escape.....

Not Afraid 05-21-2006 02:13 PM

There's a great line from Arested Development when a car salesman is telling George Sr. that: "We used to have a model called the Bronco, but after such bad publicity we developed this new model. It's called the Escape".

Frickin' brilliant.

LOL That is funny!

Oh, I so remember watching the Bronco run. Shopping at MayCompany and we happened to be in the t.v. department.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to 'escape' without thinking of that joke. ;)

MouseWife 05-26-2006 09:01 PM

So we went.

It was a lot of fun! On past trips we've had, the park became increasingly crowded and at night when we returned from resting and having dinner, it was too crowded to do anything.

Not this time! It was nice. The people were nice. I got high score on Buzz Lightyear {although the pics still haven't arrived...}

We rode the Haunted Mansion. The changes are so cool. It was nice that the Chickie and her Beau came along as well as my son and his friend. To show them new things was fun. And, if anyone saw a boy dancing in New Orleans Square, that was my sons' friend. We just let him go and do what he feels.

Since there weren't any crowds, it was a totally pleasant experience.

Oh, and the boys wanted more bread after we took the Boudin bakery tour. So, I bought a loaf of bread. The Boy asked for something else {I forget what} and I told him 'Hey, I spent $5.25 on a loaf of bread that I normally spend .99 cents on!!!"

Anywho. We went to the Disney Warehouse store and bought those bottles with the fans on them. They enjoyed them immensely. It was hot on Wednesday.

I went to Target up in Buena Park. Wow. It is like a 'Super Target'. They had a Starbucks. :D

I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to meet up with anyone but I really enjoy hanging up there and hopefully in June {or July for the Sactown meet?}.

I love Disney so much. I really loved the Haunted Mansion and we all rode the Matterhorn together, that was fun, too.

Well, that is what happened may 23 & 24.

Oops, I forgot to send a note back with the Boy explaining why he was absent....:D

Not Afraid 05-26-2006 09:14 PM

I'm so sorry I missed seeing you! I was in such a funk with Chris gone until my new Mac came then I became a techie puppy watcher.

I hope we can get together in July. I miss seeing you.

MouseWife 05-26-2006 10:03 PM

No problem, Lisa!

Aw, I can understand the funk you were in and hey, getting a new computer...I don't think my head would ever hit the pillow {thinking of when we first got the internet...*ahhhhhh*...}.

Techie puppy watcher? A virtual pet? Oh, I can give you a big stinky real dog if you'd like one. :D

Yes, I hope July comes through for me, too.

And, I can understand missing Chris. I tell you, it was nice to be with the family. The Chickie works a lot and we all rarely see one another. It was nice to spend time in the Happiest Place on Earth. :)

It was nice to spend time with The Hubster {the big kids watched the big kids a lot and we were able to sit and just be together and enjoy the time} and it makes me want to plan more outtings. :snap:

Another time.... :)
