HOORAH!!

scaeagles 06-01-2006 06:09 AM

Not a good idea to mug a marine.

Gemini Cricket 06-01-2006 06:12 AM

This guy is a ninja.

Moonliner 06-01-2006 06:40 AM

This guy stabbed to death a 17 Year old girl.

scaeagles 06-01-2006 06:51 AM

The guy stabbed to death someone who had jumped on his back while three other people, two with guns, had him cornered.

I'd do the same thing. Not his fault the girl made that choice.

Do I rejoice in her death? Absolutely not. Do I rejoice that an innocent man is basically unhurt after being attacked by four thugs? Absolutely.

I completely agree. I doubt the victim is happy she's dead either, but when you choose to attack someone, you run the risk that they will attack back. I am sad for the girl and her family though. Seventeen is awfully young to die.

innerSpaceman 06-01-2006 07:55 AM

best to get scum like that off the planet as early as possible. Gender has nothing to do with it.

Ditto. Sad, very sad and really over nothing important other then possibly drug money or just down on there luck. :(

Moonliner 06-01-2006 08:04 AM

His actions were justified, I just did not feel like giving him high five's for it.

Capt Jack 06-01-2006 08:11 AM

most of the folk I know who've been in similar situations (having to kill/seriously injure someone to defend themselves) arent really looking to get high fives either.

proverbial 'no win' situation.

scaeagles 06-01-2006 08:19 AM

I would feel sick about having to kill someone to defend myself, but then I would look at my children who still have their dad and the feeling wouldn't last long.

But I certainly wouldn't want to have to tell the story over and over to people who, while well meaning and simply interested I'm sure, want to hear about the ordeal.

Gemini Cricket 06-01-2006 08:46 AM

He defended himself from being attacked by four people. This may not be PC, but he gets a high five from me.

SzczerbiakManiac 06-01-2006 08:52 AM

If you and three of your "friends" attack and rob me at gunpoint, you are a waste of water & carbon and need to be off this planet ASAP.

She made her choice, and she paid the price. I have no simpathy for her. Sorry.

Gosh, twice in 2 days?

Why is it still so hot outside... I thought hell would be freezing over by now...

No offense SM, but if someone tried to do to you what they did to him, I'd have them hauled off to the insane asylum. I'm picturing a 17 y.o. girl jumping on you to attack you... and I laugh.

SzczerbiakManiac 06-01-2006 12:35 PM

You'd be welcome to scoop up her remains and haul them off to the insane asylum. Hell, all I'd have to do is fall on her and she'd be a stain on the cement. ;p

Morrigoon 06-01-2006 01:37 PM

17 is old enough to know better. If she's the type of 17-y/o that hangs out with murderous thugs bearing firearms and robbing people... Sorry, I just can't feel *too* bad that she's no longer around. Not saying I'd want to be the one to take her, life, but how bad am I supposed to feel? I mean, honestly.

Yay marine. A pocket knife vs. two guns? I'm impressed.

alphabassettgrrl 06-01-2006 01:53 PM

I see too many times where the robbers get away with it and I'm glad to see this time he successfully fought back. Sad that a girl died, but really I can see myself in the same situation. If I had the skills to fight, you can bet your bottom dollar I will.

I might have some stuff to work out in therapy later, but should the thugs be rewarded for bad choices? I think not.

Betty 06-02-2006 05:24 AM

What difference does it really make if it was a girl or a boy? You f up like that and the consequenses don't care what your gender is.

DisneyFan25863 06-05-2006 12:15 AM

I can't imagine ANY of the 16,17, or 18 year olds I know doing something like this. It's terrible that we live in a world where someone so young can attempt such a horrible thing.

It's a pity she died, I would have rather seen her put in jail for her crime, and then, hopefully, have the chance to turn her life around and do some good in the world.
