Red Carpet Arrivals
on my way out to a long and exciting day of Red Carpet arrivals and the Premier. Is anyone from LoT going?
the quality of the movie on the screen and the surround sound is incredible.:snap: what a party this will be! I had so many people begging me to trade shifts. exhausting as this will no doubt be, i don't wanna miss it for anything. Look for me and make sure to say hello. |
Wish I was there to see you.
You were resplendant last time. Someone take a pic of ML if you see him! Kudos to you my dear friend. Have a wonderful time! |

Yeah, being there last night was a cool hint of how awesome this evening will be.
(But, unless I had tickets to the event, Disneyland is the last place I want to be today - *cough*madhouse*cough.) |
I just got back. It was a grueling 5 hour wait, then an exciting 1 1/2 hours of celebs, including being only 2 feet away from Johnny Depp, Kiera Knightly, and Orlando Bloom! I got all their pictures and they all three signed a group photo! But I'm beat! I'm taking a shower and going to bed!!

It was a very long hot day but a lot of fun. Got to say a quick "hi" to MickeyLumbo.
Got some good photos. The munchkin got a ton of autographs so she's very happy! |
It was a great day for rides. Space Mountain Fastpass remained available all day and the standby line never exceeded 40 min. I was about 10 feet from the red carpet, but the height factor played to my advantage so I saw pretty much everything (including awinner and Darkbeer). Probably the least crowded Saturday I've ever seen at Disneyland (notwithstanding the massive roadblocks caused by the red carpet and grandstands).

Not to rain on the parade of those who enjoy this kind of thing, but I've never really understood the excitement of seeing a Hollywood star in person. Or even meeting them.
|
You're not alone scaeagles :)
|
I watched the webcast last night. They had some interesting footage of the new AAs. Depp and Bloom both took a long time to reach the Dish Diva.

Something like this was fun for me not for the woo hoo I saw a celebrity for four seconds but it's more of being a part of a large group event. It something not everyone can do, nor wants to. I think of it no differently than camping out in DCA to get into Disneyland on the 50th.
It's more of an I was there thing than an Orlando Bloom touched my finger (which he did Madz and she claims she'll never wash it again) kind of thing. |
i agree katiesue. i have never attended any other Hollywood Premier, nor, have I ever wanted to.
For me, this was thrilling to be a part of a very unique event and a special day in Disneyland history. the celebrities didn't get me too excited, because they are just folks, whose job is making movies and happened to have the correct color creditials to pass by me. ok, i will admit, i got some tingles when i saw Ace Young and his million dollar smile at me. it was wonderful to see you Katiesue!! |
Spectacular pictures!!!!! I would've loved to see the pagentry!
So, how is the film? How was the Ball? |
It was neat to see how the stars act in real person, and to see how Disney decorated for the event. I always wondered what it would be like to be at the red carpet. Now I now, and I never have to do that again. Next time I see a red carpet, I'll be walking on it or I'll never see it again. But it was a once in a lifetime experience and I'm glad I went.
I need to download my pictures, and I'll post a link when it's done (for those who care ;) ). P.S. Is it just me, or is the guy in the group shot on the Colombia with the black glasses flipping off the crowd???? And I can't think of his name, but he did a great job in LOve Actually when he played a washed up old brittish rock star. What's his name???? ~Bob |
Nice pics, looks like a fun time for all :)
|
for the record, i did not take the photos posted above...
here is the link they came from: http://www.dlrp.fr/actulargeus.php?id=119 photo credits given in french: Crédits photos: David Michael et Almandot pour celles des répétitions. |
![]() If Walt wasn't frozen, he'd be spinning in his grave. :D |
No doubt...... Mickey Mouse & Marylin Manson. Both MM's, and good clean family fun!
~Bob |
Ah, but was Mrs. Manson there?
|
*sigh* saw part of the carpet walk on E! I'd chop off a toe to have been there.

I've met more than I think the average person, from my cast member days , my comic con time, and regular life. The ones that most people would fawn over seemed to be lukewarm with me. As ML said, real people doing a job. (They just get paid a hella lot) |

But I don't see that credit on the page. The credit shown on the page is Buena Vista International.

That would be Davey Jones |

He's given credit for the preparation pictures. Or at least dual credit. |
Kiera looks great! The dress suits her and fills out her stick-like figure a bit. She looks very feminine and lovely.
|
Yes, I thought she is even prettier in person too! And they were all so nice. I mean Johnny realy worked the crowd. He wanted to make sure everyone got what they wanted. And this from someone who use to take small roles so he wouldn't become too famous!
My wife had a medical emergancy that has taken up my spare time, but I will get the pictures up as soon as I can. Mine are up close, like 15-20" from them for the most part, so I got mostly head shots. And chest shots, and back of the head shots, and hands waving in front of their face shots........ Oh the thrill of the mob!:D ~Bob |
