I hear he was finally going to spill the goods about the secret energy commision meetings, chaired by Cheney and including Lay and the heads of the other big oil and energy companies. So Rove ordered him eliminated.

Hmmm - I heard he didn't have a heart...

On the drive back from Washington today I happened to catch a "liberal wacko radio show" (much less common than the "conservative wacko" shows) in which it was seriously being put forward that Cheney had him killed using the same techniques the CIA used to kill Marilyn Monroe. Either that or Lay faked his death.

Apparently the evidence supports either conclusion.

I believe earlier today you could see both presented on his Wikipedia biography

I don't doubt it.

Having read the two major books on the Eron scandal I came away pretty firmly of the opinion that Ken Lay was a victim of his incompetence more than a perpetrator of willful manipulation. So, to a degree I felt sorry for him.

Oh? I heard he was decapitated.:D

Hmmm, I had a History teacher who would drink Aspen laced with Vodka, I wonder if there's a connection...

I had a driver's ed. teacher who always had a can of Mountain Dew on his desk. We always suspected he was refilling it with something more illicit from his RV in the parking lot.

Yes his face got ruddier and his speach less articulate as the day wore on - needless to say his 6th period class had the highest demand

Mt. Dew mixed with gin is quite good. Or at least it was when I was 20 and we were hiding drinking at work in the bookstore.

I heard someone the other day say that they heard Ken DeLay died.
