Chernabog 07-20-2006 02:17 PM

HAHAHA that was freekin hilarious.

I love it too when the Ren Faire and S/M communities collide... sexy!

Matterhorn Fan 07-20-2006 02:25 PM

Surely there's more than 3 people on this board who would love this.

I'm crying it's so funny. Well worth waiting for it to load.

Ghoulish Delight 07-20-2006 02:25 PM

No sound at work :(

mousepod 07-20-2006 02:31 PM

That's really funny! From the name of the thread, I was sure that you were going to link to Starlords (the site seems to be down). If someone out there has yet to see the ultimate LOTR/SW mashup, PM me and I'll stick a copy up for ya.

JWBear 07-20-2006 02:42 PM

That made me giggle.

Gn2Dlnd 07-20-2006 05:40 PM

Hye-sterical!

Ghoulish Delight 07-20-2006 07:45 PM

Okay, so I clicked the link at work sans-sound and got the basic gist before stopping it after a few seconds. But hot damn was that funny!

katiesue 07-20-2006 08:26 PM

Oh my gosh - I never knew I watched that much Star Trek as a kid.

Well, she did say "run away"......

That was hysterical! Laughing alound in my living room like a fool funny.

mousepod 07-21-2006 12:04 AM

I talked about this earlier in the thread, so now here it is.
It's worth watching all the way through - even after you think you "get it".
Since the original hosting site is down, I'm guessing that someone had problems with it, so I'm only gonna keep it up for you guys and for the weekend. Please don't share the link outside the LoT.

CoasterMatt 07-21-2006 12:17 AM

That was AWESOME... :D

By "watching", I'm assuming you are referring to images. Unfortunately, I'm only getting audio in both IE and Firefox. Any suggestions? I'm quite anxious to see this.

BTW- loved the Star Trek one. There were so many clips from episodes I hadn't seen in years! Great stuff. :)

mousepod 07-21-2006 07:07 AM

It's a quicktime video. If your browsers don't have a qt plugin, you could try right-clicking and saving the file to your hard drive. It's about 38mb.

Capt Jack 07-21-2006 10:45 AM

I am sooo ashamed. Yeah, recognized each and every one..........
a couple of em I can even repeat lines from.

star lords...........dynamite.

Cool, I'll try that. Normally, I don't have problems with Quicktime files, but then again, most of the time I probably download them before I watch them and just never noticed. :)

Kevy Baby 07-21-2006 10:21 PM

I have to ask: y'all have seen Troops haven't ya? A Star Wars/Cops mash-up

Cadaverous Pallor 07-21-2006 11:41 PM

Holy crap! Both of these are amazing. :snap: :snap: :snap:

Kevy - I saw Troops back in the day - that's some old school stuff :)

I figured everybody had at this point, but I wanted to make sure. It (to me) is one of the classics of the genre, very well done, and I believe that it landing the direcctor, Kevin Rubio, a job with ILM (though I am not sure on this - it may have just been a rumour).

I was going to post the same thing. :D You and Prudence beat me to it.

Hysterical video. I recognize a couple of eps, but I must admit I didn't really like the original series very much. Love TNG, though.
:)

katiesue 07-22-2006 09:49 AM

Thanks for the videos guys - so much fun.

If you DO want to share this movie with others, use this link instead. How could I NOT show this around? :D

Aww, that would have been cool, but I had to go and check. In any case, Troops really is the first Internet-based fanfilm phenom.

keith - SuPeR K! 07-23-2006 10:34 PM
