I must be a loser

Saturday night, 7:30pm, and I am the only one on the LoT.

Not even a guest or a spider.

I must be a loser.

Edited to add: WB must be too, as she posted that a mere 7 minutes after me.

wendybeth 08-05-2006 07:36 PM

Yes, you are.

Doh!

RStar 08-05-2006 07:42 PM

Sorry, 7:35... I just got here.

Hey How about a drink? Hang on and I'll go get one.....

Okay, all I could find is Quervo Gold. I got a shot.......

Ready, GO!

There at least you don't have to drink alone.

I just got back from the movies at DTD. Saw Night Listener. Not that good. I wouldn't call it a Hitckocian thriller at all like some have. In fact is was a plot I've seen on CSI (they claim this was based on real events from 14 years ago, so CSI was based on this, if they are at all connected).

Bold emphasis mine - Apparently you had a few before you got here!

Snowflake 08-05-2006 07:58 PM

Well, I must be a loser, too.

RStar 08-05-2006 08:07 PM

No I'm just a looser when it comes to spelling:blush:

But, where's your drink?

Here, have one on me!

katiesue 08-05-2006 10:03 PM

Now there's 5 of us :)

katiesue 08-05-2006 10:17 PM

Perhaps I need to shower - now it's just me and two "guests"

hmmmm

wendybeth 08-05-2006 10:17 PM

Six- I've been kind of intermittant, but I'm home on a saturday as well. Even sadder, I'm prepping for a slumber party for the kid tomorrow. She's got more of a social life than me.

katiesue 08-05-2006 10:19 PM

Mine has her friend over right now for a sleepover. She has a way busier social calendar than I do.

wendybeth 08-05-2006 10:21 PM

Stoli and cranberry here- everyone else?

katiesue 08-05-2006 10:24 PM

mineral water with lemmon here - rather have the stoli but need to be responsible adult, which sucks.

scaeagles 08-05-2006 10:30 PM

I had some Nilla wafers.

wendybeth 08-05-2006 10:33 PM

I understand, Katie- I'll probably be having Nilla wafers tomorrow as well. I'll be wishing I had Quaaludes, though.... Actually, Tori's friends are really fun. One of them has a CI, so I get to polish up on my pigeon signing skills. She mostly just laughs at me.

tracilicious 08-05-2006 10:37 PM

CI?

wendybeth 08-05-2006 10:42 PM

Cochlear Implant- sorry, I get so used to being around other moms and stuff that know all the acronyms-lol.

CoasterMatt 08-05-2006 11:41 PM

Rum and coke was the drink of the evening, but I'm all out of coke, and there's still 2 more movies...

wendybeth 08-05-2006 11:41 PM

Lol- but the rum's not gone?

CoasterMatt 08-05-2006 11:42 PM

We always have rum on hand...

Prudence 08-06-2006 12:19 AM

I actually had a social day. Yay vacation!

Oh, and peach schnapps with Sprite, followed by a fuzzy navel.

CoasterMatt 08-06-2006 12:22 AM

I had a fuzzy navel once, cuz I was wearing a wool sweater.

Thank you, Captain Morgan

LSPoorEeyorick 08-06-2006 09:10 AM

This is why you're all supposed to move to Los Angeles. Because the Angelenos all come from somewhere (and they all go to cemetary screenings.)

RStar 08-06-2006 10:01 AM

Umm, what is a Cemetary Screening?

Attendance was de riguer for all swankers (unless you were working).

Non-localism no excuse; we had folks from Vegas.

CoasterMatt 08-06-2006 10:47 AM

I was drinking and watching 'The Shining', 'A Clockwork Orange' and 'Santa Claus Conquers The Martians'

Matterhorn Fan 08-06-2006 03:00 PM

Sorry, traveling coast-to-coast for one movie wasn't a possibility.

But I was jealous of you all!

Kevy Baby 08-06-2006 04:27 PM

I was at a birthday party for a four-year-old.

wee

CoasterMatt 08-06-2006 04:36 PM

wow, I think KB just took the loser crown away from all of the rest of us...

scaeagles 08-06-2006 05:38 PM

So you are saying that going to a kids Bday party makes you a loser? Hmph! I was at a 5 year old bday party yesterday, and that does not make me a loser! Hmph, I say, as the parent of a four year old, who I discovered today could probably kick your butt, too!:)

Prudence 08-06-2006 06:34 PM

Yesterday's social whirlwind was followed up by today's violent early morning food poisoning body purge.

I win.

Kevy Baby 08-06-2006 06:36 PM

It's one thing to go to a five-year old's b-day party when you have a four-year old. We gots no kids.

Actually, there was a reason for this specific visit. We were dropping something off at the (relatively new) friend's house and just stuck around for some chatting.
