Pure Nerd 52 % Nerd, 47% Geek, 43% Dork As for question 38, for me, it ain't Disney hanging on my walls, it is movie related though |
I'm a pure nerd. Very high nerdocity (in the seventies), lowish geek range and dorkwattage.
And as for *my* #38... I do have three Peter Pan items on my desk shelf. Our interests are too broad to have a house full of one sort of thing, though. |

BORING! not to mention how truly odd it is to be 'Joe Normal' and part of the minority (referring to here) |
Take heart, Capt Jack...

I came in at 60, 30, 30. Since if it were up to me there'd be no visible Disney stuff in the house, I imagine that first 30 would be lower if I were single.

Modern, Cool Nerd
56 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 43% Dork See! Kevy Baby and I are NOT the same person :D |
Believe it or not, I'm normal.
|
I'm normal too -and apparently signed up for some online dating site
|
I'm trying to figure out what makes GD, mousepod, tracilicious, and CoasterMatt more modern and cool than DreadPirate, Prudence, Snowflake, LSPE, Steph, and myself.

My score on The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test:
************************************** Computer Savant (30 % Nerd, 56% Geek, 52% Dork) :) |
As I expected, pure Geek.
Hmm, though 47% nerd, which is completely incorrect. I am not passionate about learning or academia. I just happen to be very intelligent, and I'm lukewarm about it ... it just is. I do not pursue academic education. The test got this part wrong. However, this blurb was precisely on the money: "It's not that you're a school junkie, like the nerd, and you don't really stand out in a crowd, like the dork, you just have some interests that aren't quite mainstream. Perhaps it's anime, perhaps it's computers, perhaps it's bottlecaps, perhaps it's all of those and more. Your interests take you to events and gatherings that are filled with people you find unusual and beyond-the-pale, but you don't quite consider yourself "of that crowd." Instead, you consider yourself to be fairly normal. Which, you are." |
Modern, Cool Nerd

I'm wondering if anyone's going to get "Outdated, Cool Nerd"
|
Haha, I was wondering that myself... :)

I've been out of school for a while so my answers to the learning related ones surprised me a bit. I forgot what a nerd I am, er, used to be. |

I was a little surprised that I didn't get more under "geek" because I geek out about a lot of things... Maybe I'm just a nonchalant geek? Hmmm... |
I think my 65% geek rating is WAAAY low... I decorate my computer room with ROLLERCOASTER PARTS!

I'll have to try again later, as I find that outcome a little hard to buy. |

Weird Al is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (which happens to be my alma mater). He recorded his first hit, "Another One Rides the Bus" in the men's room in the Graphic Communications Bldg. (it is right across from the campus radio station, KCPR). He used the bathroom for the better acoustics (free reverb). Uh oh... did my geek quotient go up because I knew that? |
Yes. Or maybe your dork quotient.;):p
|
Does my geek quotient go up because I'm friends with Weird Al's Cal Poly roommate?
|
Cal Poly is nowhere NEAR as nerdy a reference as MIT.
Besides, the song is not about him, it's a character. |
Quote:
His new album is just comming out "Straight Outta Lynwood". This is a song from that album, called "Don't Download This Song" which you can, of course, download from his website!;) Geeksville all the way, man!:snap: http://www.dontdownloadthissong.com/ |
