Sleepy Jeff Meet? Jazzman in Town? Bridgette making an Appearance?

We've got a few Lotters coming into town in the next few months and I think some planning is in order.

NUMBER 1 MEET - OCTOBER 29th - SleepyJeff

SleepyJeff and Company will be at Disneyland on Sunday, October 29th. I, sadly, will be working that day until about 6:30. I want to meet SJ and I know other do as well, but I can't coordinate this. Anyone want to step in and be scary me for a bit? ISM?

NUMBER 2 MEET - JAZZMAN - TBA

Jazzman and Co will also be in town beginning 11/2-11/11. That's another one we need to "cross off our list". That timing is going to coincide with MA as well.

NUMBER 3 MEET - BRIDGETTE - TBA

Also, I believe Bridgette will be in town for MA.

Plus, Pru is in town for both MA and for her BD is December. This is going to be a fun year end!!!!

Now, HELP!!!!!!

katiesue 09-26-2006 07:28 PM

Bridgette will indeed be in town for MA. Maybe a hello at the awards after? I'm happy to coordinate this one (she made me come out of lurkdom now it's her turn :p ).

sleepyjeff 09-26-2006 07:48 PM

Just try and find me;)

I'll be the only tourist wearing either a Red or White LoT T-shirt.

:)

Not Afraid 09-26-2006 07:54 PM

Great! Now he's going to go all Leo on us. ;)

sleepyjeff 09-26-2006 08:33 PM

I don't know if that's a compliment or not:)

CoasterMatt 09-26-2006 08:33 PM

Everybody be sure to bring ham :D

sleepyjeff 09-26-2006 08:50 PM

Ham's fine but keep me away from the pork debris;)

Not Afraid 09-26-2006 08:52 PM

No, Pork Debris is the food of the Gods!

Prudence 09-26-2006 08:56 PM

I thought that was cold day-after pizza and warm-but-still-fizzy Coke?

And here's hoping you've never posted a link to a picture of yourself.:)

I haven't....but my whereabouts or at least where I intend to be at certain times isn't exactly secret either; plus the fact that I am the proud owner of some nice LoT swag that I have every intention of wearing durring my trip.

Gemini Cricket 09-27-2006 05:08 AM

I have long thought that scaeagles and sleepyjeff were the same person. Both spell their usernames with a lower case "s", they both like sports, they're both terrified of tall red heads... they both watch Fox "News". You do the math.
:D

Stan4dSteph 09-27-2006 06:45 AM

I will be in town for MA also, however I will be on the "other side" and busy with staff things. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time to socialize with the LoTters. :)

I can honestly say I've never seen the two of them in a room together.

I don't think you can count "terrified of tall red heads" in your list. That applies to everyone... ;)

scaeagles 09-27-2006 06:59 AM

Actually, my sock puppet name isn't SleepyJeff, it's HungryAnthony. He's not registered here.

scaeagles 09-27-2006 05:57 PM

Does no one here get the SleepyJeff vs. HungryAnthony joke? You'd think I was the only person with kids on this board.

Not that it was funny, but I expected some comment from some Wiggles fan.

sleepyjeff 09-27-2006 10:41 PM

My only Son went straight from Blues Clues to Pokemon with no stop at Wiggles in between....sorry:)

Cadaverous Pallor 09-27-2006 11:13 PM

I know what the Wiggles are but didn't know that Anthony was the hungry one.

Gemini Cricket 09-28-2006 04:26 AM

I like the octopus with shoes on its tentacles and that lizard thing with the floppy hat.
:D

scaeagles 09-28-2006 07:05 AM

I always made the assumption that SleepyJeff was a reference to the Wiggles. Silly me.

Moonliner 09-28-2006 07:09 AM

I like the feather sword, but I expect that's just me.

Brigitte 09-29-2006 01:10 PM

Yes, I will be in town for MA, along with DH and the kiddos. They're not terribly interested in a full blown meet, but I'd be glad to meet some of you while we're there!

innerSpaceman 10-25-2006 09:29 PM

Bumpity and Bump. This Sunday.

Um, What Time? Ugh, the day after Halloween parties might find noon a little early. Of course, if we don't get to bed at all, noon would be just fine.

What say you, sleepyjeff?

innerSpaceman 10-27-2006 08:06 AM

Hello, calling sleepyjeff, calling sleepyjeff ....

now, I'm thinking noon after all ... ya know, see some MiceChatters, too. Maybe Al, who knows?

So, um, noon at the Hub, huh?

Cadaverous Pallor 10-27-2006 11:35 AM

Don't wake him.

sleepyjeff 10-27-2006 01:42 PM

Hub. Noon. I should be able to make it. I may be with my family(nuclear or extended, not sure).

I probably will be wearing a red LOT shirt. :)

katiesue 10-27-2006 02:07 PM

We're going to try and make it. Depends on the munchkins crabbiness level.

We shall certainly be there at noon

ish.

I saw the signs for that on 2nd street and thought of you... wait, that didn't come out right. Well you know what I mean :)

Not Afraid 10-28-2006 11:55 AM

I'm not your dog, DPR. ;)

CoasterMatt 10-28-2006 12:20 PM

For some reason, Iggy & The Stooges "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is playing in my head right now...

Motorboat Cruiser 10-28-2006 12:21 PM

We, or at least I, will do our best to make it up there around noon tomorrow. Matthew is still waiting to hear if he is working tomorrow or not. I'm playing tonight and won't be home until around 3am. So we (or I) might roll in a tad later than noon but I know how to find y'all. :)

So nice to meet you Sleepyjeff and Mrs. Sleepyjeff.

Motorboat Cruiser 10-29-2006 05:49 PM

Yes, a very fun day indeed, even though I had to bow out early.

Wonderful to finally get to meet Mr. and Mrs. SleepyJeff. :)

Not Afraid 10-29-2006 07:44 PM

THOSE people are still at the park having fun. Well, they're in the Hearthstone Lounge having fun, but what did you expect from that crowd. Me, I'm going to bed.

I'm sorry I missed SJ and faily. I sent along a pic of me saying Hi. I hope that suficed.

I don't blame them for diverting to Hearthstone. The park wasn't really where you wanted to be today. Absolutely packed (says the guy still grumbling that he got parked at the far end of Simba and had to hoof it both ways. Not that I couldn't use the exercise).

Hope they're having fun though. Drink up, swanky bunch. I'm, however, following NA's lead and going to bed. It seems much later than it is. :)

It does, doesn't it? I wonder why that is? ;) :D

I wish I could have been there as well. I have a high maintenance family so I couldn't make it.

What with my wife having a flair up with her back, my mom needing errands run, my daughter breaking up with her boyfriend and having a fight resulting in the cops arriving with a loud banning at the front door, yard work, my son complaining about having to help out with the yard work, repairing the clothes dryer, shipping out some internet sales, and so on......

Disneyland, take me away!!!

Well, to clarify, I could understand if it felt an hour later. That would make sense since we obviously just set our clocks back. It seems much later than that to me though. Then again, I got very little sleep last night which probably solves the mystery. :)

BarTopDancer 10-29-2006 10:21 PM

Holy freeking cow was it crowded today. It took about 15 minutes to go up the ramp to the roof... where the last car had been parked and the rest of us were left to fend for ourselves. I found myself a nice little spot right infront of the escavator.

I was meeting TT and another friend this afternoon. We met up and then went to find the group enjoying some bread. We split off when they went to the Grand Cal. I was going to go back but after spending about 45 minutes in Disneyland we decided we were leaving.

Nutzo crowded. I hope it's not this bad next weekend.

Gemini Cricket 10-30-2006 12:24 AM

It was nice meeting sleepyjeff and Mrs. sleepyjeff.
Sorry we didn't get a chance to ride Space Mtn... next time.

though i really miss seeing everyone at these meets... hearing these sunday reports always seems to make me fell better knowing i made a good decision to stay away... at least for a day.

i look forward to the "slow season" next wednesday between 10:00 and and noon.

in spite of the crowds, i hope all had fun.

scaeagles 10-30-2006 06:34 AM

Hey Sleepy - after I met them, I had post meet stress disorder, and it was discovered later through hypnosis sessions that they had indeed attempted to brain wash me. Since Lisa wasn't there it is possible this didn't happen to you, but you may want to seek psychological counseling soon.

Did you (or sleepyjeff) wake up in a Grand Californian hotel room bathtub, packed in ice?

Ghoulish Delight 10-30-2006 09:09 AM

Wow, we even went on an attraction with Sleepyjeff before he pulled the Leo "I have to go back to my family" excuse. He wouldn't even be tempted by iSm's rainbow glasses for Space Mountain (though that may have had to do with iSm's daylight simulation of the ride in the middle of the hub).

But it was very nice to meet you, if briefly. Hopefully next time there will be some fireworks we can camp out for, or something equally irresistable that will force you to spend actual time with us.

Cadaverous Pallor 10-30-2006 09:36 AM

Looks wide awake to me.

It was nice meeting you! Unlike scaeagles, we got Jeff to go on a ride with us. So there. :p

...and missed meeting SJ- darnit!

Wow, looks like fun! I love the glasses!

Where do you get those? Are they like those firework glasses that make you see special effects? :snap:

Not Afraid 10-30-2006 12:39 PM

Chris was De-Arm-itated on Space!

I'm so sad I couldn't make it! :( I was too exhausted after doggies to move and, it sounds like the parking garage was a nightmare.

Ghoulish Delight 10-30-2006 02:48 PM

Dude, how could I forget the best part of the day. Our dream came true! Our bready dream!

When we forced GC decided to accompany GC on his first bread tour experience, we were selected for a very special tour during which an actual baker talked over Rosie and Colin to tell us the same info that the TVs had just told us. We got to play a scavanger hunt game where we found 8 inch "hidden" Mickeys taped to the front of every machine that taught such things as the fact that "Horizontal" starts with an M. And finally, at the end, we received an exclusive Mickey-shaped loaf of fresh sourdough (no sarcasm for that part...mmm, bread).

Which reminds me, there's still some bread in my bag. Yay, snack time! My dreams DO come true!

I'm glad I could make it to meet a few of the swanksters yesterday, like (not-so) SleepyJeff and MBC. I hope I didn't come off as a complete dork (I hope I'm not a COMPLETE dork) but I was with my Evil Twins and their newest best buddy.

I only got one photo of an LoT'er, but it's a good one:

Ghoulish Delight 10-30-2006 09:59 PM

Yes, good to see you again, if briefly, 'Goon. One of these days you'll have to arrive twinless so that we may thuroughly corrupt spend some quality swank time with you.

Motorboat Cruiser 10-30-2006 10:53 PM

Pleasure to meet you yesterday, Sub. :) Hope you can stick around for some antics next time.

Sub la Goon 10-30-2006 11:07 PM

Yes, the Sub-lings (Goonlets?) make it difficult to really lounge in style (or lounge at all!).

We were packing up and heading over to Pizza Port right after ISM appeared. Tried to say "Hey" but too much commotion ensues his arrival anywhere.

Anything happening around Turkey Day? The Twins will be cruising (and not just for a-bruising) with thier mom & her family.

sleepyjeff 11-03-2006 01:36 AM

I am back home(forgot to turn on the furnace so my house is a balmy 48 degrees) now. We had a great time and loved meeting you guys. Sorry we couldn't do Space Mt. with you but we did go on it a couple of days later....wow!; it's much better than the last time we rode it.

Enjoyed chatting at the hub and riding Big Thunder. You all are soooooo nice and made me feel welcome. Thanks. My wife was torn; on the one hand sticking around with people she didin't know at all or going back to meet up with my family for lunch. After a major mis-communication between my Dad and my Sister she wished we would have stayed with you all:)

It's Brigitte with the long E sound, my real name is Brenda - it was on the back of our MA shirts and I would have brought a pug puppy with me but the thought of doing that drive down here with a dog in the truck with us is not a happy one! We're leaving Saturday morning for that long return drive.

Well, since it's so warm, why not go to the beach? The tide pools at Corona Del Mar are great fun.
