Right now, I'm one of 9 finalists in the NASA's Greatest Fan video competition. The winner, as determined by online voting, gets to go to Florida and experience an actual Space Shuttle Launch.

Well he certainly should! He's got plenty of room in that car of his but I expect it gets sucky gas mileage so it would be nice to share the cost.

You got my vote, although I wonder if the voting can be trusted. I would expect the powers that be to favor Kayla and Scott for the documented lifelong infatuation emphasis in their videos. Of course, Kayla might be a lesbian, and Scott sounds a little intense for PR purposes. Good luck.

Damn, if only my conference call had lasted for an extra 223 hours (rather then just feeling like it lasted that long).

Do you have any idea how many votes the best film received?

You'll just have to buy your own plane ticket to Florida. Look into it--I hear prices have gone down recently. LAX-MCO might not be too expensive.

Still is ~400 bucks plus hotel and food. They did invite me to the VIP area if I managed to get down there, but it will be pretty expensive.

Interesting. Kayla's was the only one other than yours that I watched (because someone here mentioned it). It was nice and all, but the pace didn't make it easy to read the text, the text didn't stand out from the pictures all that well, and overall, it just didn't look professional. Yours could be adapted into a commercial for KSC with just a tiny bit of tweaking; hers is a home video with text.
