It Really is the Year of a Million Churros!
According to a guest at MiceChat, they were given the "dream" of table service at Redd Rockets yesterday at a "reserved" table (with the same food). The most exciting part - they were given free drink refills before receiving their tab for the meal.
And, the CM who chose them said, "I was told to give out a dream, and you looked like a nice family to give it to." Personally, I can't wait to win a "front of the churro cart line pass" so I can buy my churro before others! I've dreamed of it for years now! I so hope it happens to me, because it will certainly go down as my most magical experience at Disneyland ever, yessireebob! (Can ya tell I'm a bit cynical? ;) ) |
Ooooh! Maybe we'll get bathroom attendant service when we visit!
|
Or better yet, 2 ply ;)

TAKE THAT MONEY AND BUILD A NEW ATTRACTION WITH A NEW THEME YOU GODDAMNED IDIOTS. |
I was at the park Sunday and saw a bunch of the Dreams CM's (whatever they're calling them). Once word gets out don't you think people are going to start stalking them and harassing them to get prizes? It just seems a very complicated way to do it.
|
I also heard that another MCer got her dream......of sitting in the reserved seating section for F! - except it was for the area over my HM where you can usually walk up and grab a seat anytime.
|
Really? Any dream?
Listen up, Dream CM's.. Please arrange for me to have lovin' with quarterback Drew Bledsoe of the Dallas Cowboys on the Haunted Mansion, while he wears nothing but the #11 Jersey & helmet, and we play an enticing game of "hide the churro". Preferably his. I'll wear nothing but Minniemouse ears & a satisfied smile. Please, please, PLEASE make my dream come true! I mean, hello! It ain't free soda refills and table service at Redd Rocket's. Oh no, that's way too flashy for me. It's not pseudo-primo Fantasmic seating. That's for fancy people! I don't ask for much, Dream Weavers. :D ;) :p |

PS: Love the glitter sig.... who's Arry ? |

The dream CMs (DCMs?) don't always get to choose. They are told spacifically who to give them to in most instances (I'm sure for the big prizes any way). Like "3rd person off the ride, if two side by side, the person on the right." |
I didn't see a single "dream CM" today at the park. The only "dream prizes" I saw were the fastpasses.
I couldn't even tell the promotion was going on. |
I have friends on the Dream Team out here in Florida, and yes, they are alreday experiencing the "stalk of doom" from guests who feel entitled to a front of line pass to Mission Space. (No wait there ever these days, by the way.) I think that job would land me in a special treatment center pronto.

That's like giving out front of the line passes for the Disney Gallery! |

If they're handing out Cholesterol-free, fat-free Corn Gods, er, dogs, then that would be my dream I suppose..... Gosh, there's so much to wish for.
|
I couldn't eat a million churros.
:D |
I don't think I've ever eaten even churro, much less a million.
|
Oh, you must eat a churro--it really is a dream. But only in CA; the churros in FL are stale and yucky.
|
I realize it's some sort of baked good, but it sounds like it should be a small, furry mammal.

My Pet Churro...

PS: I don't think it would like being rolled in cinnamon..... ;)
|
It looks like the type that might prefer "red flavor." You know, for the holidays.
|
I heard on the news that a family in FL got the dream of having the Magic Kingdom to themselves for an hour or 2. That would be nice, but part of the fun for me is people watching.

See this tread I don't know if it is the same prize, but........ |
Yep! TY, I didn't even see that thread.
|
Prudence, Lashbear found your little furry animal....too funny!!
Ugh, yes, stale and cold churros are blech! What kills me is when you ask {anywhere, Disneyland, Knott's} 'Is this fresh??? Is it warm???' and they say 'Yeah' and it ISN'T. |

Oh, and yes, we have little churros running around our yard at night also. Along with their cousins the fruit rats (aka little Mickeys!). |
I know a couple in CA who won a night's stay in the Mt. Whitney Suite at GCH.
|
I saw a Dream Squad member today, on BTMR Trail. She didn't seem to be doing much, other than walking around with a map. It was funny. You could tell who else in the area spotter her as DS.

:snap: This just in from Disneyland - keith - SuPeR K! was dream fullfiilled today at the Tower of Terror in DCA. Witnesses say keith was simply wandering from the ToT store back thru the attaction exit to the photo displays when his Dreams Came True. But thwarting all careful randomness, the Dream Team missed their assigned target when they dreamified keith for being the 263rd guest to come off Disney's California Adventure's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror today.
 keith's dream for Sunday, October 14, 2006, is for a one-day, All-Attractions Fast Pass. Not bad .... till you consider that none of the other folks he was with (who were riding Tower of Terror) got the fastpass prize. So keith is the lucky guy who can head to the front of the line for Big Thunder, Space Mountain, Indy, Grizzly Rapids, Splash Mountain, California Screamin', Mullholland Madness, Roger Rabbit, Soarin', Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion Holiday for his quickie ride ...alone. ;) How Disney behaves from here (i.e., whether they let friends fastpass with him or not) will determine whether keith's Dream Come True is a churro or a ... hmmm, I gotta admit - an actually nifty prize!! |
Yeah, but it would be really cool if they let him do it naked!

a friend of mine was awarded this very same Dream prize this week. then all four in her party were also given the same prize so they could be together when she used the Dream FASTPASS. they thought it was nifty. personally, i would not use it if i won. it looks pretty slick and would want to keep it in its original condition as a collectable. |
Is it all day or one use per attraction? I thought it was the latter and they tore the tabs off as you used it up.
|
Yes, it's actually a badge (well, two -- one for each park) with pull-off tabs that represent one fast pass for each regular F.P. attraction (plus a separate "Dream" fast pass for HHM).
So while it is an All-Attraction Fast Pass, it is not an All-Day Fast Pass. I guess it would be easier to ebay if all the tabs were still attached, but it's a pretty neet souvenir badge set even when the tabs are used for their dreamy purpose. Since keith's party wasn't with him when he was dream-bestowed, they did not get similarly fast-passed. But with a combo of regular F.P.s and the Dream F.P., I believe they got to enjoy some fruits of the dreaminess. |

I think that's a pretty decent prize. I'd totally use it though. I'm just not a collectore I guess. Sucks that they didn't give it to the rest of his party.

Whereas in ML's example, since the group was together; they each got an AAFP. |

Is it bad form to wish for a dream of my own in December?
