A toy for Coastermatt
This pretty damn cool, not sure if I'd ride it though!
|
That was pretty detailed. What was the purpose? A model for a new coster?
|
That's sweet! :D

I got the KNEX set for a roller coaster for my birthday like 5 years ago. I was so excited (It wasn't NEARLY as big as what they built..it basically went up, went down into a loop, then turned and went back up).
I spent like 3 weeks working on it. My fingers were like exploding from all the pressure I had to use to snap those pieces together. I go to run it..and it doesn't work. I could never get the damn coaster go through the loop. It always got stuck. What they built is fricken amazing. |

The one in the video must of taken months to build...wow! |
For some reason, three attempts to reply to this thread have gone goofy...
If you wanna see the coaster model that I'd REALLY like, check this out- I've seen a couple of these sets put together to make AMAZING coasters - but at 200 bucks a pop that gets pretty 'spensive pretty quick. |

"The Python" K'Nex model in the video is a recreation of "The Python" rollercoaster at Efteling in the Netherlands. I believe it was made from 2 or 3 K'nex rollercoaster kits.
|
Wow, that's cool!
Can you tell, is the layout pretty close to "The Python" rollercoaster at Efteling? That would be quite the ride if so.... :snap: :D |
It's a pretty basic Vekoma loopscrew coaster (one vertical loop, two corkscrew inversions) that's been operating since 1981. It got new trains midway through 2005.
