An Introduction
 

Hey everybody, I'm new here. You probably don't recognize my username, but some of you might remember me. I remember quite a few of you, anyway. For a while I went as "Squinky" on a number of Disneyland boards.

A couple of days ago I went through all of my old posts at Mousepad (I was surprised they were still there, actually) and it really brought me back. I mean, I was 14 when I first signed up for Mousepad, so to be able to go back and basically look through my childhood was a very weird and surprising experience. I remembered all the good times I had on that board, before it kind of took a wrong turn somewhere, and I know most of you are familiar with that so I won't get too far into it. Since then, I've been at Micechat basically since its inception, and while it's a much better situation I don't really relate to any of the people there and I kept wondering where the best posters from Mousepad's heyday had gone to.

After looking through my posts and getting all teary eyed I pm'd zapppop and he told me a li'l story about the recent history of the online Disneyland community and told me to sign up here, so I did. Turns out all the posters I remember liking from Mousepad have been here this whole time! It was really trippy to look through the names when I first came here and remember almost all of you from so many years ago.

Anyway, I really like the whole aesthetic that's going on here and I think I'll have a lot of fun. I'm glad to be here!

Nice to have you here. I am not here a lot but I do consider this my home as I once did MousePad. {back in the day}

I do remember you, too! Glad you found us. It took me a while to get over here as well after the turn of events at MP. I still post both as there are some good people on both boards, and they are two totally different worlds altogether!

Well hell, who knew? I still have an active account on MP. I went and read a bunch of my old PM's including a yummy sounding cookie recipe someone from here sent me ;)

Oh, and pleeeease, meet us at Disneyland some time. Back in the MP days, you were too young to drive there ... and once we knew you must be old enough to have your license ... well we lost track of you. ;)

Welcome! Of course I remember "Squinky"-- and now to re-adjust my brain to another new username! (It happened with a lot of people-- you'll find that not everyone here still has the same username, but you might rightly know them.)
