Not to evangelize, but...

I'm feeling a bit haggard, maybe I'll get a massage.

wendybeth 11-04-2006 10:49 PM

Don't forget to purchase some meth! Lots of people buy and then throw away meth, you know. Especially during massages.

tracilicious 11-04-2006 11:54 PM

Can you get me one too?

Well, really. Who wants to keep that stuff around? Think of the temptation.

Oh, it's so much better to procure your own "service provider." Just google "haggard" and "massage."

Say hallelujah!

Scrooge McSam 11-05-2006 12:56 AM

Tell 'em Art sent ya!

wendybeth 11-05-2006 01:21 AM

Oh, poor Art! Some mean church people are saying he's guilty of "sexually immoral conduct". :(

Wicked, bad, naughty Art! I'd feel sorry for him if he wasn't a lying sonofamofo.

Gn2Dlnd 11-05-2006 03:39 AM

I don't know art, but I know what I like.

And if you want to see more of Haggard's acting, tune into the film "Jesus Camp". Apparently, he's preaching to kids there about the sinfulness of homosexuality. Who knew he was speaking from experience? :D Click

The Rev. Ted Haggard has been fired amid allegations of gay sex and drug use, but the evangelical leader can still be seen at the height of his powers - preaching to thousands and condemning homosexuality - in the documentary "Jesus Camp."
I love the title of this article:
"Fired Evangelist Slams Gays in New Movie"
:D

SacTown Chronic 11-06-2006 01:28 PM

This is what happens when hatred is passed on and passed on. This man was taught that his secret inner-self was dirty and sinful.

Preaching out against yourself....how's that taste? It's all so sad.

innerSpaceman 11-06-2006 10:13 PM

I love the statement he issued where he somehow accepts responsibility for his transgressions ... after he's been outed by someone else! And where he admits to being a liar and a deceiver, but holds that his true sins are the gayness and the drug abuse ... with the lying and deceiving (and, may I add, the vile hypocricy of the lowest order) taking a back seat in the sinmobile.

Not Afraid 11-06-2006 10:19 PM

We punish sins based on a multi-layer of judgement, but I was always taught that, to God, all sins are equal.

I was always taught, Judge Not, Lest Ye Be Judged

I don't know...

I don't do meth, or even just purchase it for disposal
I don't do guy on guy message or other stuff
I don't send explicit emails to minors
I don't sleep around on my wife
I don't take bribes to do my job (except for small amounts of chocolate)
I don't abuse minors in my care

I guess I'll never reach a position of power in this country.

I tried to give you mojo, but I was too busy shooting up meth while being molested by an altar boy.

But I thought you preached against that! You lied to me! :p

I was too busy making meth with my cold meds to mojo you.

from the pen of America's Best Christian

The delightful Betty Bowers has some great comments about Rev. Haggard. Please read the full article, but here are some of my favorite quotes:

"Reverend Haggard is a vociferous spokesperson against gay marriage and, until yesterday, his wife probably had no idea she was actually in one."

"...it must take enormous willpower for a meth-crazed sodomite to remove a penis from his mouth long enough to denounce homosexuality."

"It's become almost an axiom of American unctuousness that the more preening the public scold, the more inevitable the public scald."

"Paul Crouch had to pay off his gay lover. (Mr. Crouch, appears to have been forgiven, if only because even those most strongly against homosexuality understand the urge to look for sexual outlets that don't involve Jan Crouch being naked.)"
