Now here's a tacky gift I was thrilled to receive
I believe my sister found this in some knick-knack store or other. According to the tag, it was hand-beaded in Africa. I don't know if some African bead artist visited Disneyland or DCA at some point in their life, but my reaction upon pulling this gift out of its bag was instant and exactly what my sister was hoping for. What does this bring to mind?

Oh my,yes!
|
Cool!
|
It's a small world after all.

Looks like a snail. It has been so long since I've seen it (still waiting for my deafness to kick in) that I assume it has the same coloring as the MSEP snail?

That snail tried to run us over in '04.

I like it- MSEP came to mind immediately. :)
|
LOL!!!!!
|
Now we need to get an LED in there
|
I want one! Very cute!
|
I SO want that.
In fact, I may have to make a complete set of beaded floats with that inspiration. :D (Hmmm.... that's an 18-gauge Brightwire frame with bead wire and glass seed beads, all of which I know where to get very cheap....... and those beads will "light up" easily by just placing a bulb inside each one - and 4-watt bulbs are available on a 5-string set of "village" lights, which I can get after Christmas on sale..... must go shopping........) |
Very cool!
Can you fill it with LED lights and have the soundtrack to the MSEP playing perpetually? |
Yes and yes.

oh noes- you inspired T to create!! Now she will be driven to create the entire MSEP in her living room!
;) |
Now you need one shaped like a big sparkly American Eagle To Honour America. :D
|
I recognised it right off- even though the head and neck were off the screen (GD, perhaps you should resize the picture a bit). It's very cool!! The bugs were my favorite of the floats!!
|
Dude, that's not tacky at all, that's AWESOME!
