The LoT Gift Card Swap (& Gift Swap)

CP started this thread back in July. Given the holiday season and gift card giving I thought I would start a new one.

One person's trash is another person's treasure

If you have gift cards (or gifts) you don't want post here. Maybe someone else is dying for that and has something you want.

RStar 12-26-2006 07:20 PM

Ok, I'll start. I have a $25 Starbucks card, and I never go there. I'll trade for a card for someplace else that I go to (like a grocery store, Kohls, Best Buy, Pizza Hut, Home Depot, ect.)

I have 2 $25 Chili's cards I've been stuck with for a couple years now. I finally used the Applebees card and continue to regret it. I'd use them at the Corner Bakery (same Company) but can't find any that will take them - probably because the one's I go to most are in Chicago.

I have a $25 Target gift card, but I can probably use that one.

I got a $25 Gift Card for Captain Smaffy's Pulled Pork Emporium and Wedding Chapel in Hawaiian Gardens.
Any takers?

:D

If no one has anything to trade for them, I may just purchase them off of you. We like Chili's on occasion. I like their fajitas and their ground peppercorn bleu cheese burger.

Interestingly, there was a Captain Smaffy- a child's pirate costume named "Captain Smaffy"! :D

$3 to Starbucks. It was a freebie over a year ago. It comes from FL, which mean it might have expired a couple months ago, but I'll use a stamp to mail it to someone who wants to try to use it.

Are you willing to risk being seen at Starbucks trying to use a no-good gift card? If so, PM me your [name &] address. You could so totally save $3.

RStar 01-02-2007 07:54 AM

If it expires, it should have a date on it. Otherwise, I would think it you'd have no problem. And if someone wants to trade my $25 card and take this, they could save a grand total of $28, or nearly a weeks worth of visits! ;)

My card says nothing at all about expireing, or having a fee for non-use. It does say that if you register it, you get some "Neat surprizes".

I have a registered Starbucks card. At certain times of year, they have given me credit on the card, usually $5. One time I got a free sample of coffee mailed to my house. You can opt out of email or snail mailing.

That's nifty! I'll have to dig out my new SB cards.

I'll give you $7.78 at Sharper Image and $2.38 at Borders for it :D

Chernabog 01-02-2007 02:41 PM

Next year can we do a holiday spit-swap instead?

Tref 01-02-2007 04:02 PM

A year later and my card good for one free hug still remains unused & unclaimed. Sad. Still, I will glady trade it for a card good for one free handshake, if anybody has one.

Cadaverous Pallor 01-02-2007 04:43 PM

Can I offer you a Laurel and Hardy handshake?

You can go on line and check if there is a balance on it. I came across a card today from Hollywood Video from years ago. $5. I think it was when the boys rented video games from there.

But it did say that unless you were from certain states {I only noticed CA was one} after 12 or 13 months they would charge a fee of $1. a year until the card was depleted.

And, I will definitely register my SB card!!!!

I wanted to go there today, they are marking down their xmas stuff even more....
