Yikes! That's horrible. How traumatic!
:( |
That's a vile way to clean a cat. Why do people think that traumatizing your pet and capturing it on film is funny or worthy of someone's attention.

Why do people think bathing a cat is difficult? It is extremely easy unless the cat weighs more than you or you have extremely wimpy arm strength (you need to be able to hold up your cat by one hand for a few minutes).
|
Even if you can hold a cat he can scratch the fck out of your arm.
Yeah, that's a cat torture device. I'm just glad I don't have one, and that the rabbit keeps herself clean without my help. |
That's a horrifying machine for a cat, but it would rock to put a toddler in there
|
The rats were very amused.
|
OMG! I am repulsed by this thing. The fact that this machine even exists is horrible.
|
Why am I very glad that I did not look at that link?

Cats don't really need immursion baithing ayways. There are several products on the market that make bathing a cat a thing of the past. Besides, cats are pretty adept at cleaning themselves.
|
I have given my girls baths in the past. I used baby shampoo and make sure I keep my fingers around their neck to keep the water out of their ears. I have had a few who have acutally seemed to enjoy it, but most would fight me.
|
we had one ages ago that would actually go completely limp (in a non-violent protest I think) to where you spent more time keeping her head out of the water than bathing, whereas her sister would screech uncontrollably until released.
we gave up cat bathing after that...followed by giving up on cats altogether a few years later. dogs for me, thanks. at least you can just chase them around the yard with a garden hose if they get too gross. :) |

*rimshot*
I would have if Id thought of it. |
I just thought of how awful it would be to put my bunny in that thing. Munchkin doesn't like water either. We've never tried to immerse her, but she immersed herself in the toilet once and was very unhappy about it. She wouldn't let us dry her off - just sat in a corner and sulkily dried herself. Poor thing.

Cats do the same thing. That is why toilet seat LIDS are always closed in our house.
|
Our newest kitten actually doesn't mind water. She loves to sit on the edge of the tub and watch my husband take a shower.
Of course she is the one we rescued out of the storm drain. I thought she would be scared of water after that but luckily she was obviously not traumatized by the event! |
I hat a rat once who accidently went swimming in the bathtub. She was running around the room while I was soaking (I think I was in Jr High). She jumped up on the rim and saw all the bubbles. She thought she could walk on them. Luckily the water wasn't too hot.

The Diary of a Dog and The Diary of a Cat
Okay, I laughed til my sides hurt.
Excerpts from a Dog's Daily Diary: 8:00am Dog food! My favorite thing! 9:30am A car ride! My favorite thing! 9:40am walk in the park! My favorite thing! 10:30am Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing! 12:00pm Lunch! My favorite thing! 1:00pm Played in the yard! My favorite thing! 3:00pm Wagged my tail! My favorite thing! 5:00pm Milk bones! My favorite thing! 7:00pm Got to play ball! My favorite thing! 8:00pm Wow! Watched TV with my master! My favorite thing! 11:00pm Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing! Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary: Day 683 of my captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and myself are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. The audacity! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released --and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded! The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. The captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe....... for now.... |
Too funny!!!
