Anyone up for some naked Harry Potter?

I gotta say- for a 17 year old guy he looks...umm.....well, see for yourself.

Ghoulish Delight 01-30-2007 10:02 AM

Call me when Hermione understudies for him.

Not Afraid 01-30-2007 10:08 AM

This play is on the list of possibilities when we're in London. I haven't seen it since High School.

mousepod 01-30-2007 10:09 AM

Y'know, Neph, I have paid good money - twice! - to see Debbie Gibson act in musicals (Les Miz on B'Way and Grease in the West End) - and not once did she bare more than a shoulder.

You Harry Potter fans should count yourselves lucky.

[Did I just admit that I was a Debbie Gibson fan?]

Strangler Lewis 01-30-2007 10:10 AM

I appreciate the outrage. I was appalled when Anne Hathaway went topless. And then I was appalled again.

I'd see it. You know, for it's artistic merit.......(cough).

Yes, I think wand insertion is pretty much the fantasy. For wendybeth, of course.

wendybeth 01-30-2007 10:57 AM

Lol! Nah, actually, while he's nice to look at, he's far too young. I'm more interested in corrupting the corrupted. Any nekkid Severus pics around?

Or Alan Rickman not in Severus drag, thank you. *le sigh*

I wants to see it. You should go see it. The actor playing the horse, as Heidi just informed me, is ballet delight Will Kemp. Rowr.

I love you. I LOVE YOU! For admitting that.

When I was a wee lass, my parents bought tickets to see her concert and it made me so, so happy. So happy.

BarTopDancer 01-30-2007 12:33 PM

I still have 2 bottles of Electric Youth perfume in my memory box.

Strangler Lewis 01-30-2007 12:33 PM

The common thread here is that Debbie Gibson did Playboy. As did Tiffany.

Here's any even sicker note: I was going through my cassettes of concerts that I had surreptitiously recorded with my walkman, and there, among Sonic Youth, Soundgarden and Mudhoney, was Debbie's "Electric Youth" show, recorded that same year at an arena in NJ.

That's GOLD. You've got GOLD!

Disneyphile 01-30-2007 02:54 PM

Oh heck, I opened up one of my old memory trunks, and found mint condition Tiger Beat and BOP magazines, complete with centerfolds of young Ricky Schroder, Menudo, and Duran Duran. I think Debbie Gibson is in one of them too.

As for the photos Nephy posted..... um..... I can't wait to see my honey tonight.

I saw DebORAH Gibson perform last summer at San Diego Gay Pride. She looked really really good! She didn't have mold growing under her boobs or anything!

And about Harry Potter. Practically pasty in every way! Get thee to a tanning booth! (And yeah, he's damn hot.)

Gn2Dlnd 01-30-2007 03:11 PM

That's some straight up hot white boy!

ahem, I mean, I'm glad to see the youth of today find the theatre to be a viable and rewarding employment opportunity or something.

CORNDOGS!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMFU<KINGGOD!

Will Kemp was the Swan in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake that we saw last year. BOTH of us were in complete lust over this man. (We were also third row center and saw every fricking detail of his fine body.) He is one of the most amazing dancers/actors I've ever seen on stage.

I believe this just sealed the deal for us.

I almost feel dirty looking at him that way and thinking...yumm....erm...NO NO bad Neph.

He's less than a year older than my oldest son..augh!

And I'll want you two to join us for an opening night screening of the new Harry Potter movie. If you'll drive out to the Chinese, I'll buy the popcorn.

Alex 01-31-2007 09:24 AM

I see that he is attractive (and suprisingly well built for a 17 year old) but youth is unsexy to me and I look at him and all I see really see is a kid.

Hell, I still have the same basic reaction to Scarlett Johanssen (extremely attractive but not at all sexy to me) and she's six years older than him.

Something's photoshopped out of the pic... look at the fog where his "wand" is normally kept.

It's the 8th wonder of the world - the backside of Potter! :D

Gn2Dlnd 02-22-2007 08:46 PM

If you try it at home, be careful not to hit your head on the back of the twink.

Snowflake 02-28-2007 11:25 AM

Looks like it was a really good show

Here's a review from Reuters just posted on Yahoo

innerSpaceman 02-28-2007 12:36 PM

I've no doubt the play seems a relic of its time ... but I don't see the need for every work of legitimate theater to be modern in its sensibilities. Some works are classics, and Equus is one of them.

But ... until reading that review, I had no idea that Uncle Vernon, Potter's muggle nemesis, plays the psychiatrist ... naked Radcliffe's foil and mentor-of-sorts. That kind of stunt casting just strikes me poorly in a serious work.

Not that naked Harry Potter didn't already take the seriousity down a peg or two.

mousepod 11-06-2007 07:43 AM

Confirmed in today's New York Times. Naked Harry Potter (Radcliffe in Equus) coming to Broadway.

innerSpaceman 11-06-2007 08:34 AM

Wake me when he's nude at The Pantages, ok?

JWBear 11-06-2007 09:35 AM

BarTopDancer 11-06-2007 09:48 AM

He is 18.

Snowflake 11-06-2007 10:03 AM

Only if I can get tickets to Young Frankenstein that same week! :)

Not Afraid 11-06-2007 10:09 AM

I would be interested to see how (and if) Daniel Radcliffe has settled into the role. He was good, but a bit wooden at times.

From me, probably. Because we're planning to go in February and are hoping to see it (for Radcliffe and for the play, which I loved as a teenager.)
