Some random Disney Photos from the Weekend

I was "playing" with my camera this weekend. Here's a few experiments that sort-of worked.

Disneyphile 02-05-2007 03:17 PM

Those are awesome! :snap:

katiesue 02-05-2007 03:31 PM

Fun pix!

Snowflake 02-05-2007 03:41 PM

Those are really cool. May I ask, what camera are you using?

My little 2.0 mega pixel really needs replacing......

Motorboat Cruiser 02-05-2007 03:43 PM

There really are some wonderful shots there, even the ones that aren't crotch shots. ;)

Actually, they all are very cool. Thanks for sharing! :)

Not Afraid 02-05-2007 04:00 PM

I included the "crotch cam" shots because I like the absurdness of it all.

The other shots were me playing with photography. About once every 6 months I get a burst of creativity and I do something "arty". And then I get over myself. ;) But, I sure have fun when i'm playing.

My camera is a nice, pocket sized, Cannon Power Shot SD700 IS 6 MP. I LOVE it. I've never loved a camera as much as I love this one. There is a newer version of this camera out which is the SD 900. Dusty has that one and it is a whopping 10 MP!

Oh, I was looking at the 10MP camera, lusting. So at least I'm in the right neighborhood, looking at a Canon. :)

That will take some good crotch shots.

I'm sure NA renewed her AP.

NA: Nice pictures!

Gemini Cricket 02-05-2007 05:36 PM

I blocked my crotch shot.

Now post the unauthorized TSI guest shot of hunky man at Castle Rock.
:)

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 02-05-2007 05:40 PM

Crotch shots?

Jeez, can't wait to see what shots she gets on the Cruise?

"Got Speedo?"

Gemini Cricket 02-05-2007 05:42 PM

There was also a buxom she-Pirate at Trattoria...
;)

Not Afraid 02-05-2007 05:51 PM

Hey, I'm practicing for naked Harry Potter, ok?

Cool pictures! :snap:

mousepod 02-05-2007 07:14 PM

Nice. Artsy (not fartsy).

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 02-05-2007 08:56 PM

Awesome! And my headstone! You rock.

I took some pics recently when I was last there. Got some super cool pics of the teacups in motion. When I get a chance to post them to Flickr I'll share.

xoxo

Who is Queenie?

Did somebody call?

:D

LOL!

There's a new Mardi Gras show in NOS with a singer/dancer named "Queenie" and the NO Band. Queenie leads a crowd down the street, gets everyone all hyped up and sings and dances a bit. It was quite a nice little surprise for us on Saturday.

:p

So here are my photos - significantly less artistic, but hopefully demonstartive of the weekend of fun we had (in the park, on rides, and not sipping cocktails in the lobby of the Grand Californian) thinking it were the last days of APness.

Of course we had such a good time, we came home, jumped online and renewed with less than 30 minutes to spare

Not Afraid 02-05-2007 11:31 PM

It was GREAT to find UD. I SCREAMED ....RICHARD in the middle of NOS then drug him on TSI with us. He actually hung out until he had to leave - and I didn't even teather him!

Nice pictures. What's the story behind "Somewhere Behind this Grid Lies My Hat - There She Goes" ?

Until I see photographic proof (i.e. GC and Queenie in the same photo), I'll have to believe GC.

Not quite. Lisa would never wear the dress! ;)

Great pictures! How do you get the black and white effect with the color in just some places? Is it the camera, or software on the computer?

I was tricked onto Mulholland Madness which triggered a serries of unfortunate events:
  • The Crotch Horn - Perhaps if I had a clitoris, this seating feature might have made the ride more enjoyable, for clearly this was not designed to be used with testicles
  • The Dip - Switchback Switchback Switchback - the ride became predictable until the dip which casued my hat to swiftly depart the top of my head. "There goes the hat," I said, but no one believed me till we were out
  • Man Bags and Netting - hard enough pulling out my freakishly long thighs out of the vehicle while trying to keep the boys away from the crotch horn was no easy feat - add the netting of the personal affects holder, which clung to various zippers and buckles of my man bag (or Satchel if you will) , the ride had to be stopped to free me, but wasn't stopped long enough to let someone retrieve my hat.
  • The Grate - Since the hat didn't land on the track, but below it - the ride must go on - but I could get my hat back at Lost & Found after the park closes. And so off trhe ride, I could see my hat, but the grate prevented bot its retrieval as well as its capture on camera.
And so, I filled out the form so that perhaps my hat will be returned to me. I wonder which I'll see first, my hat - or my AP...

There are setting on my camera where I can choose a color to accent - which will draw out that color in a picture and leave the rests black and white. I actually had a red as my color choice, but it highlighted a spectrum of reds. It's fun stuff!

LOL! Having ridden Mulholland Madness 6 times in a row with my son last Thursday, the crotch horn and I are on a first name basis.

thecorndogwalker 02-06-2007 07:22 AM

nice pics...

went on superbowl sunday, the park was sooooo busy... and hot... but fun..
queenie is a hoot...

Cadaverous Pallor 02-06-2007 08:20 AM

Ironic that you got a pic of the hat just before you lost it. I hope it comes back!

Great pics! Although I did find the dismembered Kaa photo to be a little disturbing.

cirquelover 02-06-2007 10:29 PM

NickO'Time 02-08-2007 05:38 AM

Man, I need to switch over to the "dark" side. I love the photo setup.
