Interesting lil' site about names. Its seems my own name peaked in the 1900s, and has been declining ever since. That's good news for me, as I also peaked in the 1900s. How your name did I do not know. We shall leave that between you and your post.

Hmm My name is still on the rise. Mom and Dad should have bought stock in it for my future.

That was trippy... As is my name, apparently.

It was popular in the 70's, and it said 62 next to it so... hrmm I don't know what that means.

However, referencing a conversation I was having with someone here, I did find Ericka, and it seems to have a bigger bar than Erica, so... hmmm..

Weird. Peaked once in the 60s (which is when my mom heard it) and again in the 80s. Has now fallen completely off the radar.

Wow, mine peaked in the early '60s, and has been on a steady and rapid decline since. It's dropped from the 23rd most popular in the '60s to the 186th most popular in 2003.

"Samuel" was on a steady decline until it bottomed out in the '60's (ranked 83rd). It's been steadily building since then and was ranked 23 in 2003.

My name slowly took off in the twenties, then became popular in the sixties, when I was born, and is now out of vogue.

Why did I have to be born in the sixties?!!!!!

Just as I thought - Jenny and Jennifer run the same curve, peaking in the seventies. Jennifer actually was number 1.

My "real" name, Jennie, has been in decline since the 1900s, when it ranked number 69. In 2003 it finally slipped off the top 1000 names list.

My name was pretty high in both the mid-60's (when I was born) and even higher in the early 80's. Been dropping like a rock ever since. I'm not sure what that infers.

My name was - dadadada - number ONE in 1962, the year I was born. My parents were decidely followers of pop culture and, having the name Lisa along with a million others possibly shaped my disdain for pop culture. It sounds like a good excuse at least.

Maybe it return as one of the chic "old" names again. Now, it's at some really low spot.

Carlie was ranked 573 in 2003. Interestingly, it doesn't even figure in the seventies, when I was born. Caroline (my real name) has a much more comprehensive history:)

Cool! My name peaked in the 70's and 80's. And was nearly gone from the name sphere between the 40's and 50's. And is now very much on the decline. Keep my name alive, mothers and fathers!

My name peaked in the early 60's.

My name.....no big surprise here.

First peak for Claire was in the 1920's......ranked 158th then, the lowest valley? When I was born in the 1970s. It was ranked 462 the year I was born.....thanks, Mom! What mortified me growing up (Oh, to be named Jennifer or Sarah!) has now turned into a blessing....never have to say my last name when I call people.....and I'm pretty much the only Claire that anyone knows at my age.

BUT......it was off the charts skyrocketing in 2003, and ranked 140 in the 90's and is getting more popular. In Chloe's preschool alone, there are THREE Claires!!! I hate it!! One little girl has the same last name as me....except off by one letter. :rolleyes: Very confusing. I hear parents yelling at Claires all over town....and I never fail to turn my head. Ugh!! How did all those Sarahs and Jennifers deal with it!!! Ack!

No worries. If we had another daughter (Which we won't. I'd cut off my business with a dull knife before I'd procreate again.) I would want her to be named Audra. I cannot think of a more beautiful name.

My name peaked at #8 in the 70's, the decade I was born. It was not in the top 1000 in the 1930's which is when my maternal cousin who my parents stole my entire name from was born.

My name peaked at 258 in the 1950s and isn't on the chart now. In the 70s (the decade I was born) it was 373. My middle name peaked in the 60s and isn't on the chart now.

I'm just surprised my name "Teena" even existed! I've only met one other Teena in my whole life. Who would have thought the name was popular in the 50's? It's completely off the map after 70. No wonder there's no Teena's! Oh well I'm an original!

I thought I was being clever spelling Nickolas the way we did, but it seems I was wrong.

#1 in 20's & 30's, Ranked 5th in the 60's when I was born, declined ever since, but still at #35 with a bullet.

That's spiffy- Cassandra was #154 in the '70's, when I was born, peaked at 60 in the 80's and has been declining since.

Kids-
Davis was #450 in the 90's (Davis was born in 1990)
Braden was 357 in the 90's (Braden was born in 1991)
and Ian was 69 in the 90's and he was born in 1993-

Rose on the other hand- was 308 in the 90's 358 in 2003 (she was born in 2000- there is no rank for that)- peaked in the 1900's as well- but Adriana is at 142 and 107.

Huh- Ian was the least original name I came up with- funny, I thought it was at the time.
