Remember or Remembered?

I understand that "Remember" came back after the holidays, but some comments I saw made me curious....

Is it still the same boffo show or have they somehow diminished it so that the glory of last year is but a memory?

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 03-22-2007 01:17 PM

I don't remember...

blueerica 03-22-2007 01:18 PM

Forgot.

RStar 03-22-2007 01:24 PM

Remember what??

We are so helpfull, aren't we?? ;)

I haven't seen it, but I have heard that it is the same basic show, with the 50th references removed and a few other minor differences. I have been trying to get over there to see it for a while now, and haven't been able to make it.

:p

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 03-22-2007 03:03 PM

I just don't remember what they're calling it now. I'm sure I'll remember when I'm there next. I just don't remember for some reason....

BarTopDancer 03-22-2007 06:27 PM

SHINY!

innerSpaceman 03-22-2007 07:14 PM

The hamfisted way they covered up Julie's "50" references is laughably horrific. Otherwise, surprisingly the same fantastic show.

Now don't forget, this is the one called Remember where they sing about Wishes, not the one called Believe where they sing about Remembering.

Why must you make such high demands of me!

/runs away to look at the shiny.

lashbear 03-22-2007 09:29 PM

I saw the "promises" or "expectations" or something fireworks tonight !

...was that what it was called ? (maybe it was Wishes)

Well, whatever it was, it jumped the standby for Haunted Mansion down to 5 mins. :snap:

I hope to get film of "Remember". Where's the best spot ?

Well, if you see 50 or so people who appear to spend too much time in front of a message board hanging out in front of the castle at around 9PM...run. Run far.

Up! ;)

Hey Rob, I hope you guys are having a great time!

If it is the "Wishes nighttime spectacular" you are refering to, can't help you- never been there. But here's some info on it:

However, if you want to film "Remember...Dreams Do Come True-Fireworks" at Disneyland once you get here, then in front of the castle and slightly to the right facing the castle is the best spot to be right in the middle of the action. To film and see all of the fireworks, half way down Main Street is best, but you'll miss all of the projected special effects on the castle and the Matterhorn.

Chernabog 03-22-2007 11:04 PM

Yeah, I've always said they're now called "Don't Remember: That These Are Actually the 50th Fireworks". Oh well. I still love me some Julie-lovin'.

Isaac 03-23-2007 06:13 PM

It's about the same as last year. The only differences are in the editing of Julie Andrew's dialogue. " 50 years ago... " and " 50 years later... " have been replaced with either " In 1955... " or " Today... ".

Julie Andrew's introduction to Walt Disney's Parade Of Dreams has been completely removed & replaced by a male announcer. I think it's the same one who does the 15 minute annoucements before the parade.

Moonliner 03-24-2007 05:22 AM

Apparently the Castle projections have been missing since the castle was under tarps.
