Who's going to Universal Friday 4/6?
I need to get an accurate count of who's going tomorrow, to make de- er, um, ARRangements. :D
Please PM me - I'll be working, but Rose is going to be in the park playing :) |
The Lash Pair
WendyBeth + 2 Those are definite. I am a definite NO. Chris is TBD at this point but he'll let you know. |
I wanna go! Lousy job!!! :(
|
I'm feeling a bit under the weather and may require a visit to my PPO (Preferred Park Organization) tomorrow. I'll be going to the one in my network, however, sorry we can't join you.
|
Hey you guys that are gonna be at Universal -- are y'all gonna eat dinner at Citywalk? Because Universal is right near where I work and live so I could meet up with you lovely people if you gave me a call when you're thinking of leaving the park and all....
|
Yeah, if you all will be there for Dinner I could join you. Only about 20min away. :)
|
Um, the Lashes already have post-Universal plans. Unless, of course, they stand me up ... again. (Huff!)
Actually, anyone's welcome to join us for a whirlwind tour of Hollywood and then ... paying attention, Chernaboy? ... WeHo! But if the LashPair is not blood oathed to Universal Park Closing, they might be up for a bite-to-eat at CityWalk before heading over to Hollywood. Dunno. They are sorta incommunicado today at Magic Mountain. Plans for tomorrow are ... fluid. |
Well, Rose and I are having dinner tomorrow evening at Saddle Ranch Chop House at some point.
|
I'm going to try to make it - not sure on the hows and whens yet, but I still have admission to Universal and a train that can take me there.
I wouldn't mind joining in on a WeHo swanking at the Abby with the Lash Pair, but I think those boys are looking for more bearish digs, and I don't want to be the token straight possuer cramping anyone's style. |
Have fun everyone and say hi to Doug for me if you see him.
|
Depending on when we get out of Universal, Rose and I *might* take the red line to Hollywood/Highland and say hi to our tattoo artists.
|
I've done some WeHo "research" and there are no Bearish digs, per se. There's Asians at The Rage, a slightly more leather bent at The Motherlode (where drinks are reportedly cheaper and stronger), and your basic Club Kids at The Abbey, the Factory, and Micky's (clubs) and Eleven, EastWest and Here (bars).
Heheh, how can we not check out a place called Micky's? Plus it's open till 4am and reputed to have hot stripdancers? How can you resist, Chris??? |
I should be at Universal in the mid afternoon (gonna escape work. Shhhh) If anyone needs a ride home because of "public transportaion" the Bornieomobile is available.
Mickey's??? I don't even wanna know... |
"Stripdancer" sounds like a word my Grandma would use.
|
But would she mean naked young men with chisled bods and bulging packages?
|
Not sure. Next time we get a ouija board, I'll ask her.

A fun place to eat would be Marix (which is near Al's apartment) or there's tons of places further into boystown on Santa Monica Blvd where there's plenty of eye candy. There's a nice restaurant called Obar on SMB (VERY VERY "LA") but it's a $20 entree-range restaurant... interesting food tho and good drinks. And of course there's always the Scabbey if you want to check out the beautiful people in an intimate setting. Intimate, because there are so many people that you can hardly move! "Here" has dyke nite tomorrow I think? The Mother Lode has good (cheap) drinks and Fubar (a bit down SMB) can be fun too, depending on who is DJing. Of course, there's also the twink/latino dance places -- Arena, etc. which are over by Santa Monica and Cahuenga. If you wanted to play on the straight LA scene for a bit, the Bar Marmont (Sunset and Crescent Heights) makes AMAZING martinis (and has good food too, very swankified) and the Standard Hotel (Sunset and Sweetzer..... that's where the Sex and the City girls stayed when they went to LA) usually has something fun going on (both are on the Sunset Strip). The more "bear"-ish type places are in Silverlake - Akbar is a dive (but fun) and there's a few other places I could ask around about if we really wanted to do that scene. I'm not sure if I can do a long nite out in weho since I am totally under the weather today (just took some theraflu, yuck) but I would like to join y'all for dinner at least. I'll be calling y'all tomorrow on your cells so keep them on!!! :) |
Wow, with all that great WeHo knowledge, maybe you can help us with the most important thing ...
.... how can we find a place to park?? |
Quote:
Do any of these places require long trousers ? |
Oh for God's Sake, Man ... put some pants on!
(someone's had a very storybook idea of California weather. Enjoy San Francisco, my friend) |
can't I wear my LoT Thong and Pasties ?

.....but she WILL try to make it to the Carpark roof meet Saturday (is it Sat or Fri? Now I'm confused) |

Ooo, are the boys flying into Frisco or driving up hwy 1 through Big Sur? |
Doing the whole Pacific Coast Highway swank all the way, you dig?
We even have a disc full of Beach Boys songs to play. (and a Disneyland 50th special edition set) |

They've yet to import denim to Australia.
(Can you believe they have only two flavors of PopTarts???) |
Oh boy, you consider a Cobalt a "sportscar"? Australia's more backwards than I thought!
|
We're nothing if not fluid in our plan-making. ;)

I bet it is a fun drive!!! Inywho, Lashes, you are doing the coast? COOL!!! Oh, memory, kick in~ Well, we usually go south as opposed to the north you are travelling. And, we hop off after San Simeon. But, some things we like to make sure and see: Of course, the Hearst Castle. North of that, on the right side of the hwy, is a turn off for Julia Pfieffer Burns State Park. We stop here for lunch {bring your own, there isn't any place to pick things up except a little general store in Big Sur, from what I know}. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=578 , http://jrabold.net/bigsur/roadpt0800.htm Anywho, this is a beautiful place. Worth the stop for pictures. You'll see things all along the way to stop and photograph, I hope it is a clear day. It has been hit or miss for us. That general store I mentioned, a nice little potty break {okay, yes I did say potty break} but also a stroll to stretch your legs is nice. The store is next to a motel/lodge. If you wander about towards the back, they have chairs in the river...eh, we sit in them even if we aren't staying there so, my friend, I extend that to you. Monterey, of course, you must have your plans for that, right? Do you like Taco Bell? Up almost to Frisco, right on the beach, they have a Taco Bell that has been on the Travel Channel. We went there once, just a novelty idea. Have fun with that car!!! Wait, are you cruising that down to S.D.? |
Gah so WTF is going on tonite then? LOL
|
7:00 - Whirlwind Tour of the (decent) part of Hollywood (aka between Highland and Orange - - H&H, Chinese Theater, El Capitan, street performers, Walk of Fame, site of iSm's epic starwars line-ups). Bite to eat either there or ....
Next Stop ... WeHo! Eye Candy street scene, lounges, bars, clubs?? Help! We need Cherny to guide us!!! (Me, the LashPair and hopefully Chernabog as legitimate gays ... and featuring guest stars Not Afraid as our cheerful fag hag and €uroMeinke as our Faux Bear!) |
Quote:
Sexy huh? ;) I'm glad I'm no longer an "illegitimate gay" ;) Heheh last nite I took a 2-year sobriety cake in WeHo and I made a comment about how I used to give out blowjobs to anyone who'd give me vodka back when I was 16 and hanging out on the Boulevard. (the crowd gasped, it was funny as heck) So yea, I guess WeHo holds a ... special place in my heart. |
Ok, ok ... then before you die, just tell us where to find a decent parking spot.
Or do I have to blow you for that?? ;) |
wow... just.... wow...
|
HA! I was walking a dog and ran into a guy watering his lawn who had a "Rainbow California Bear" sticker on his car, so I got to talking to him about the best bear bars in town (and San Diego as well). I'm such a freak.
|
The LA REcomendations:
Eagle LA 4219 Santa Monica, @ Hoover 323 669-9472 Faultline 4216 Melrose Ave Spike 7746 Santa Monica Blvd., @ Genesee Levi/Leather cruise bar, pool table. Open for afterhours Thursday through Sunday for dancing. Never closes from Friday, 5pm - Monday, 5am. |
And....in San Diego...
Pecs 2046 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92104 Oh, and eat at BRIANS while in SD. BRIAN'S 828 6th Ave San Diego, CA 92101 (619) 702-8410 |
I'm such a hag.
|
![]() And, I need to find one of these for the LashPair. |
Oh, HELL. Let's just go for 6 in a row.
|
Quote:
And decent parking? You just gotta do what anyone does when he wants to find a super hot stud on short notice -- PAY. ;) (Though sometimes you might get lucky and find something on Melrose in between La Cienega and Doheny, or on Robertson between Beverly and Melrose -- if you get there around 7ish it shouldnt be too big a problem) |
That's odd, I can't seem to edit my above post, the edit just... hangs there.
Anyhoo, I was gonna say NA's sources are right on the money for the SD crowd. |
Um, no ... we're getting to WeHo around 9ish10ish. I'd guessish.
Hollywood proper - 7ish - at H&H. Bite to eat in Hollywood. |
Well.. ish.
Your easiest bet is to park at the Pacific Design Center then (Santa Monica and San Vicente). I mean, you could circle around and get lucky, but it does waste a bit of time. 9-10 is when all the kids arrive so that could take a bit. You should start off tho at the super swanky Bar Marmont for killer martinis, which would cost you a valet park and the martini. They're soooooo good tho. Pineapple-infused vodka and whatnot. And NO, before you ask, I haven't given head there ;) |
if wish i could be there to you join you guys .
I will go back to California around Nov or Dec depends of AirFares from MCO . |
Is sportscar Australian for craptacular econobox? I love learning new languages!
Sorry I missed out on the uber gaybar action. Not really. Sometimes I get drunk and buy people vodka shots...well its a long story.... |
As it turned out, there was no uber gay bar tour.
Though there was plenty of eye candy of the male variety, the evening turned out to be most ageeable straight swank. |
