Sub Lagoon
 

On Friday I saw the subs moving in and out of the caverns :snap: squeee!!!

Does anyone know when the attraction is supposed to open? I'm hoping to put my shiny new AP to use and come out again after they are open and the initial madness is over.

I believe June 19th is the official date.



The madness will be over by July 10th.

Seriously, I am gonna bring some extra sushi to eat in line for Nemo.

Or just get there arse-early and run like hell to the ride at rope drop.

I can get there for rope drop for this. I'm in for the sprint.

I've penciled my first Nemo Sub ride in for August 23...2011.

I refuse to wait in a line and my experience with the old sub ride does not exactly fill me with anticipation for it. So I'll wait until I can ride a half empty sub at dawn or park closing.

Opening day rope drop for me, too.



Then, as I said ... 2008.




I'm more excited to see the lagoon with subs floating again than I am about the actual ride. Heck, at this point ... I'm excited to just see the lagoon again.

Ugh, those walls. And suddenly they're everywhere. I can't remember the last time Disneyland was this walled off. The Sub Lagoon, Splash Mountain, the Tom Sawyer Raft Dock and a little area around the "christmas" tree on Big Thunder Trail. Oh, and the Mark Twain under a tarp. Sheesh.

Bad.Show.

The opening date is still June 11th.

The subs are being tested right now.

The seagulls were placed on the buoy.......



...but only for promotional pics. They were quickly removed.

I will have to get there at rope-drop one of these days after it opens - along with a million others.

The seagulls left an appropriate mess :D

I'm in for the sprint too. Though June 11th is a Monday. I'm sure there'll be a line party that evening, just like it was when Space opened....Unless there's a soft opening, in which case the line party is that night, once word gets around.

Funny how a buoy out in open seas....is 2 feet from a bush! ;)

Gosh, but it's nice to see the lagoon with subs floating around in it.

I know I had to have ridden the old sub ride, but I don't remember one bit of it.

I think I will be like everyone else, and wait a few years before jumping in line, which I imagine will be brutal since I take the ride capacity will not be huge.

We're planning our big DL trip and will be there on June 18 and 19, so I hope (and as I'm about to type this I know it's pure folly:rolleyes: ) that the lines die down a bit by the time we arrive, a week after the opening.

I'm really looking forward to riding the new ride, but I'll be packing lots of SPF BIG NUMBER to slather on while waiting in the line...
