Wow! LoT has a new icon

How perfect is this? Had I missed it?

:na:

Alex 05-11-2007 10:18 AM

Uh....what is it?

Disturbing.

Yeah, unless you know what it's supposed to be (an ear with a bluetooth headset permanently attached) ... and even if you do - - it's really hard to tell what you're looking at.

Sorry, Fej, I think it's back to the drawing board for this one. Where's the tangle of middle-aged red hair that would sell the idea??

lizziebith 05-11-2007 11:29 AM

I thought it was an exotic dog.

Snowflake 05-11-2007 11:30 AM

Perhaps a kitty with a bluetooth?

Capt Jack 05-11-2007 11:49 AM

oddly enough my first thought was some sort of shellfish

hmm....must be lunch time

Alex 05-11-2007 12:02 PM

I did figure it out once I looked at the smiley options (for some reason I don't have much reason to go there very often) and saw it was tagged na.

It would help if the ear was more completely formed. And maybe it it were flipped right to left, for some reason (though it could only be a psychological tick) it looks backwards to me.

cirquelover 05-11-2007 12:04 PM

Somehow I saw a dog with blonde hair:eek: I think I need a nap!

Me too!! I thought it was a conch shell spinning a record.

I have a bluetooth permanently glued to my ear, and still I didn't see it! Shame on me! Maybe if it had a flickering lime green glow like mine...;)

Strangler Lewis 05-11-2007 12:58 PM

I'm not sure what it looks like, but it gives the impression of a pacemaker. Perhaps there's something apt to that.

Moonliner 05-11-2007 01:31 PM

I definitely saw an evil sheep. But then again I tend to see that a lot. Evil sheep are everywhere these days.

Brigitte 05-11-2007 01:59 PM

I saw a sheep making eyes at us all ;) Not evil though.

katiesue 05-11-2007 03:04 PM

I thought a sheep or goat with a sparkley Ally type hat.

Kevy Baby 05-11-2007 03:27 PM

Do you know where they get virgin wool?

Spoiler:
Very ugly sheep

keith - SuPeR K! 05-11-2007 03:35 PM

Too bad I don't know how to use the bluetooth. ;)

Morrigoon 05-11-2007 03:40 PM

Huh.... I thought it was a representation of modern art... cubism, and all that. Because that bluetooth looks like a weird eye to me, so it looked like a cubist face.

What about the bacon icon I made?

Prudence 05-11-2007 03:43 PM

I thought it was some sort of big brother pizza, with an all-seeing eye. Your pizza sees what you do!

thecorndogwalker 05-11-2007 03:48 PM

Its one of those gadgets you get at home depot.. you know that cuts wood.. or maybe its a sander... it rubs wood down...

What? Where? Huh?? I wanna see a bacon icon!!! It will look so cute & all breakfasty-like next to the pancake icon. :)

Might I suggest a shoe or handbag? Ooh! A lipstick tube? Ooh ooh! A crown or tiara?? I know I have a snowball's chance n' all, but it never hurts to bitch...oops, I mean gently suggest. ;) :p

Not Afraid 05-11-2007 04:01 PM

Are we playing "The Liars Club"?

Alex 05-11-2007 04:04 PM

My favorite smiley/icon:

I remember that show! visible mojo (cause I need to spread more before I can give you some)

FEJ 05-12-2007 06:48 PM

I made that smilie for NA about 3 weeks ago. (I only had an hour so had to keep it simple.) She liked it, so it stays as is.

For nothing, that says it all Alex!

So how would one use said icon?

Alex 05-12-2007 11:13 PM

Judiciously, for all good things in moderation.

wendybeth 05-12-2007 11:17 PM

Now that I know his weakness, I'm posting a whole page of Alex smilies!:

Well said. :D

CoasterMatt 05-13-2007 12:22 PM

I saw that icon and instantly thought it was a glowing version of the cam system that locks the over the shoulder restraints on a B&M inverted coaster train...

thecorndogwalker 05-13-2007 12:43 PM

Its a cyclops,,, a winking cyclops

Morrigoon 05-13-2007 10:41 PM

Well, now that the icon has been elevated to the level of art (what with everyone having their own unique perspective on its meaning), we can hardly get rid of so swanky an icon :)
