Um, Where's So-and-So and Why Haven't They Posted in a While?

I hate these kind of threads.

But yeah, I'm kinda worried about Lashbear.

When other people don't post for a while, I assume they are otherwise occupied. But when Rob doesn't, I start to wonder if health concerns are a contributing factor to his absence.

And while I'm at it, where the hell is Motorboat Cruiser???

Isaac 05-18-2007 04:13 PM

Lashbear made a few posts in the last week or two so I think he's okay.

MBC has made a couple posts here & there. I saw him online a day or two ago so he's probably okay.

Have you checked their livejournals ?

DreadPirateRoberts 05-18-2007 04:17 PM

MBC has been sick.

Morrigoon 05-18-2007 04:23 PM

I thought Rob just posted in the music thread?

Ghoulish Delight 05-18-2007 04:29 PM

Let me introduce you all to the search function.

Ponine 05-18-2007 04:32 PM

Blah we've been Introduced,
we're just not on ..... friendly terms. :p

LSPoorEeyorick 05-18-2007 04:52 PM

MBC is recovering pretty well from his bronchitis. He's still resting most of the day, though. I hope he feels better soon!

Kevy Baby 05-18-2007 05:19 PM

Fej is far too infrequent, but that is too be expected.

Lash last posted yesterday at 9:27 p.m. PST (although it was probably today for him).

innerSpaceman 05-18-2007 05:28 PM

I figured a provocative thread would get me better information than bothering to use our search function.

Thanks all.

(Are their eL Jay's obviously named? I'd love to spy on their lives)

blueerica 05-18-2007 05:41 PM

OOoh, I want to spy on people...

keith - SuPeR K! 05-18-2007 06:10 PM

LOL iSm! I remember a day not too long ago when you were saying you didn't have time for eL Jay... Now look at you!

katiesue 05-18-2007 07:58 PM

I've received two PM's from Lashbear today - so I think he's fine.

Thanks for thinking of me Kevy!

I have been lurking a lot more the last week. I have had 2 operations for kidney stones in the last week so have been down and in front of the computer more. You can always find what I am doing via my site also. (link below)

innerSpaceman 05-18-2007 08:26 PM

Oh, I hope you're up and about again soon, FEJ, and that the experience wasn't horribly painful (or, if it was, that you've gotten decent meds).

I'm relieved to hear Lashbear's alright; sorry to hear MBC's not well; and yes, SuPeR K!, I have become kinda gabby and voyeuristic on eL Jay.

FEJ: Ouch! Hope you're feeling better.

iSm: lashbear's is 'lashbear' and Motorboat Cruiser's is 'mboatcruiser'.

Open at your own risk
Spoiler:
Is that the brown one?

scaeagles 05-18-2007 08:52 PM

We need a "finger" icon. At work, when my coworkers deserve it, I IM them with (..!..).

Hee hee. I expected (and deserved) that.

You, voyeuristic? I find that hard to belive! ;)

Motorboat Cruiser 05-20-2007 10:04 PM

MBC is alive and kicking, although it was a hell of a week. When I don't have the energy to contribute to a political thread, something has gone wrong. In this case, it was a simple cold that turned nasty, led to a visit to the urgent care clinic, and ended with a bunch of horse-strength antibiotics. :)

Thanks for thinking of us, iSm.

Oh, and I completely forgot I have a live journal so you aren't likely to learn many new factoids from it. I should really start writing in it again. Thanks for finding it for me, Zapppop!

edited to add: OK, I updated it.

blueerica 05-20-2007 10:55 PM

Interestingly, this thread has gotten me to update my LJ, not once, but twice.

Exciting!

Moonliner 05-21-2007 01:10 PM

I can't speak for Lash, for one thing my attempt at speaking with an Australian accent is horrific....

However I know that when I get back from a grand visit out to West coast land, knowing full well it might be years before I make it back again, it can be pretty damn depressing. Hearing trip reports and seeing pictures from the park well..... you just want to tune out for awhile.

ooooh, and what's your el Jay called? It will come in especially handy when I want to keep up with your life ... once you've - sniffle, sniff - moved to Utah. :(

And ironically, that is STILL the last time he posted.

blueerica 05-21-2007 03:10 PM

Hahaha... Well... ;)

RStar 05-21-2007 03:13 PM

Here I am.

I am here!

More importantly,

Do you have green eggs and ham?

lashbear 05-30-2007 05:48 AM

I am provoked.

Therefore I am.

I think.

lashbear 05-30-2007 05:49 AM

Oh, and why hasn't anyone come to Sydney to visit me yet ? Not missing me THAT much, are you? Huh ? :p

BTW: Tokyo Disneyland March 2009. Who's coming with me & Stoat?

Moonliner 05-30-2007 05:56 AM

Welcome to our newest member!

Lashbear!

Enjoy the swank.

Can you postpone that til summer 2009 ? If so, iSm and I might be able to meet up with you two.

Cadaverous Pallor 05-30-2007 09:58 AM

I miss MBC still! He doesn't post nearly enough.

Morrigoon 05-30-2007 09:59 AM

Isn't Cherny going in '09?

Ooh! Don't tempt me!

Now, a DL Tokyo LoT meet would be awesome. We all love sushi, right?

So how much would a week in Tokyo cost? I've never researched a Japan trip before.....Paris first for me, 2008.

mousepod 05-30-2007 10:17 AM

From the west coast, a trip to Tokyo can be surprisingly affordable. R/T air for around $500, food for cheap (and it's good, too!), and hotels that border on the ridiculously inexpensive - just ask the Lashpair - to affordably swanky (what we did with NA and €uro last time). On the other hand, our Japan trips tend to involve lots of shopping - and Tokyo Disneyland is as expensive as, well, Disneyland. So...

(I'm ready to go back)

Not Afraid 05-30-2007 10:49 AM

I'd go in a heartbeat and, at the moment, it is one of the only places where the dollar is still on the plus side. $1= 121.50 yen.

Tempting....

Prudence 05-30-2007 11:18 AM

Hmmm....that is tempting. I'd rather do Paris, as I'm more comfortable with the language, but if there were some other swanksters around I might consider Tokyo.

Disneyphile 05-30-2007 11:31 AM

Very, very tempting. We don't have a cruise scheduled for that year, so it's quite possible... hmmmm.
