Those of you who know me well, know that handbags are something I have more than a few of. BUT... I dont like to spend a bunch of money on them.
So, the fact that I am coveting a $160 handbag................. is wierd ![]() ![]() I actually cant pick between prints... I really like the pirate print... Now, if that reclass were approved and paying next week... I'd be all over it. |

Speaking of lamps...
's funny - I was just drooling over the lamp this morning. I might actually get it, since I really do need a floor lamp. |

Purty lamp.

Actually, I just called my mom and told her I want it for Christmas. So, she bought it. :p
(Mom shops all year, and is at the point that she now lets us pick out our own stuff, even though we have to wait until December to receive it.) Although, you get yours sooner. :( |

This may well be the nets very first Lamp/Car thread:)
|
Don't forget my blender!
|
In that case...
|
I've been looking at new sofas. I found one I like. It is incredibly expensive. I won't be buying it. But, you may look.

yeah, those are surely the stuff of dreams or nightmares if youre the one actually paying for it. |
Actually owning a Mercedes cured me of ever wanting another one. At least that was one good by-product of that nightmare.
|
Since they are out of my price range, that car is like a well done boob job.
I might not actually want one in the family but purely for the purposes of looking at... |
and perhaps a short 'test drive'

I want one of these:

I've seen one of those driving around Phoenix. Can't say I want one, though.
This one is more to my ultimate desire. ![]() A red convertable 66 mustang. My dream car. |
I want a Wii.

I would love many things....this is one thing that has recently caught my eye....http://www.apple.com/iphone/

I don't know how much it costs, but if I'm talking about cars I'd want something like this:
![]() or ![]() |
I'd say I want a series 3 HD TiVo, but I think I'm holding out for series 4.
I could go for One of these. |

Since Heather is all about conservation and sustainability, I guess we'll have to settle for this:

what a cool ride! the (just shy of) 6 figure price is a bit daunting of course, but its nice to see serious effort being aimed at electrics combined with performance beyond the std pedestrian shoebox.

Oooooh! Thanks, Kevy!
I actually want a small Black Pearl for my new workstation, because it coordinates with an inspirational back story that's part of the reason I'm back in my chosen field. :) |

yeah, I looked at those (cept that last one)...but theyre pre assembled and the 'carribean pirate ship'...while somewhat close...aint. I used to build a lot of models growing up. my brothers and I got pretty good at it. wouldnt mind taking on building a 'painfully detailed' one again. seems I have time on my hands of late. Quote:

Something that I actually need, and am trying to figure out how to buy:
Oooooh, yeah. I've seen one of these babies in action. The 8-core processor allows for super highspeed video rendering. Like one hour of HD takes only 6 minutes. Right now, one hour of SD takes me over 4 hours, thus making my projects take forever to complete. From there, I'd soup up the memory and drives myself for much cheaper, just like I did with my laptop, versus paying Apple $300 a piece per SODIMM. |

You guys need to check out the "Heritage of the Sea" room in The House On The Rock.
|
Quote:

The House on the Rock is the most twisted tourist attraction I have ever visited. I loved it so much, that that's where I proposed to Heather (in the Carousel Room).
The Heritage of the Sea room features a model of a sea monster ("as long as the Statue of Liberty is tall") battling a giant squid, while a music machine plays a calliope-sounding version of "Octopus' Garden". The walls are lined with over a hundred ships models, most of which are several feet long. |
But it is in Michigan. The closest I've ever come to hating a hole state is Michigan. (Though it has the redemption of being where I first saw fireflies.)

Whoops. Yep.
Good memories of Wisconsin and I will share them all with you here: 1. The nicest freeway rest stop I have ever visited was in Wisconsin. 2. Otherwise all I remember about Wisconsin is that it was dark from midnight to about 4 a.m. while we drove through it. |
I really enjoyed visiting the Safe House in Milwaukee. Fun bar/restaurant

I've always wanted a vintage Mustang. I've not given up the idea of having one. Your 'Black Pearl' is muy bonita! Shiny, too! Is it loud? :D That Guy~ I would also love one of those little puppies! Cruising around the 'hood? That sort of thing? Love it! Living this close to the border, we see a lot of really tiny vehicles, we hope they bring them over. Mini trucks, suvs, soooo cute. {probably not a guy term but they are!} |

yes, was my car. :D
1966 coupe with a bench seat. sweet car. almost bone stock except the rims. /sigh my best friend since gradeschool had one when we were growing up. as people are known to do, he had a son (two, but its the eldest in this story). his son was surely his fathers child and had an instant love for cars...specifically mustangs like his fathers. I had this one. at the age of 8, he told me he would buy my car when he turned driving age and asked me how much I wanted. I said "sure" and pulled some number out of my &*%# and watched his eyes bug out at the thought. ahead 8 years...no mention of that conversation ever arises I go over for his 16th birthday party. he takes me aside telling me he wanted to talk to me. grinning like a cheshire cat, he hands me, in cash, the amount I said 8 years before. nice fat stack of $100 bills and says "I want my car" how could I not sell it to him? ...and yeah, Pearl is loud as *(%$ and fast as 773H :argghh: |
And my Mickey floor lamp arrived today. I just finished assembling it. Neener neener.

I agree with Kevy Baby, great that you did sell it to him. Probably a dream come true for him.
And just the rims aren't stock? Damn, I also knew a family who had a 'fleet' of Mustangs. Even a 1964 1/2 one. Aren't those rims called 'Centerlines' or something like that? I remember my friend would say 'That's what I'm getting for my car, yep, that's what I'm getting'. I don't think she ever did, though. Does the boy still have it? And is it still hot? |
oh yeah, he's still got it. I attended his HS graduation last friday (wow, so I guess it really was more than 'last year'). he sent me this pic last month sometime
![]() he, like most HS gearheads has made his own set of 'mods' to it, but still looks as good as ever. better in some respects. great "kid" yeah, centerlines and some decent radials is about all I ever did to it other than repair/restore work. |
My mother's boyfriend (it is weird calling him that - they live together and having been "dating" for 30 or so years) has sitting in his garage a 56 Vette with removeable hard-top (or did they all have that?). It is all original and has about 25,000 miles on it. He has not even started it in about 25 years. He FINALLY started restoring it a couple of years ago and it is his pride and joy. Can't wait to see the finished product. I wonder what kind of insane offers he will get for it once completed?

This has been obtained.

good knockers are fun for everyone!

And here I thought it was that picture of the girl and her mom with mickey knockers hanging out their sweaters...
|
Oh my gosh, that porch light! Too cute! And the chandelier!
Great knockers, by the way. :snap: |
Well, I want one of these, in this color (or maybe metallic blue)
![]() failing that a 1936 Packard sedan would be nice, harder to park, more expensive to gas, but a very swanky ride. And because GD and CP have one, and I have a severe case of tv-envy I want this too |

cuz I saw this (again)...Id nearly talked myself into just forgetting it. PotC Leather Jacket crap crap crap crap. I can just feel my credit card trying to climb out of my wallet. :argghh: |

LOL RStar, he did the deed.
Well, here in San Diego, I still wear my leather jacket in the summer. Night concerts, strolling out late....a very good excuse to be out late at night...to make use of your wardrobe!!! I love the chandelier on the page of the jacket but I don't have anywhere to put it. I need to get back to the Harvest Festival where I saw the old fashioned wall lamps. At the time they didn't suit my room, now they would be perfect. |
:snap: Yeah! :snap:

I hadn't ever really wanted one, but I have one now, and I don't know how I lived without it.
Having replaced all the carpet with laminate during my remodel, I was simply amazed at how much dirt and dust we get on our floor (which makes me shudder thinking of all the crap in the carpet, but that's another story). It only takes a day for it to look bad. So....I bought a roomba. The robot vacuum. This thing rocks. We can schedule it to run at the same time every day, or if we're leaving the house we tell it to run for an hour or two. It's smart enough to return to it's charger by itself. If it's running low, it goes back. It adapts to whatever type of floor it's on. It goes under beds. Around everything. It's smart enough, when we have it upstairs, not to fall down the stairs. This thing rocks. I want more robots. |
My vacuum blew up recently. (OK, maybe it didn't blow up, but there was a small fire and smoke and everything.)
Maybe I need a robot vacuum? |

referring back to this and bumping an old thread... it arrived while out we were all camping. got it today upon arriving back at work. its even cooler than it looked online. :snap: now I just have to wait until winter to wear it  |
That is a pretty b*tchin' jacket

I'd so hoped to have it arrive before the trip. sadly it was not to be, but yeah, fits like a glove and is subtley pirate cool
