This one might be NSFW, so I'll spoiler it

Spoiler:

:)

Kevy Baby 06-09-2007 05:31 PM

MIGHT be?!?

lashbear 06-09-2007 06:25 PM

I saw the boat first ! :p

Moonliner 06-09-2007 07:18 PM

So the joke is that there really is no boat in the background. I get it. Funny.

Gn2Dlnd 06-09-2007 07:27 PM

These 3D things never work for me.

sure as 773H worked for me

Cadaverous Pallor 06-10-2007 05:40 PM

The people in the boat can't see the boat either

Kevy Baby 06-15-2011 01:44 PM

Not nearly as fun as the one in the OP, but fun none-the-less.

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color, pink.

However if you stare at the black "+" in the centre, the moving dot turns to green.

Now, concentrate on the black "+" in the centre of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see only a single green dot rotating.

Ghoulish Delight 06-15-2011 01:47 PM

Does God have a bugzilla?

Capt Jack 06-16-2011 04:55 PM

lets not gloss over the 'boat' thing quite yet. I still dont see it

Melonballer 06-17-2011 12:58 AM

Maybe the word boat is a now another word for "woman in a bikini"?

alphabassettgrrl 06-17-2011 02:29 PM

I like the rotating dot illusion, though the pink dots don't entirely disappear for me. The moving one does turn green, which is fascinating. I'm guessing it has something to do with eye fatigue.

Still cool.

The turning green part is not the illusion. It really does turn green.

Ghoulish Delight 06-17-2011 08:45 PM

No it doesn't.

Yes it does; your monitor just may not be calibrated properly.

Just like the boat in the OP.

Cynthia 06-17-2011 11:05 PM

Kevy - very cool, reminds me of art school

Gn2Dlnd 06-25-2011 02:02 PM

Art's cool what? Boat?

Never saw it.

Just a pink dot.

lashbear 06-27-2011 12:34 AM

Alex 11-11-2011 11:11 AM

That illusion is in "Impossible" at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - you walk towards it down a corridor and the change happens before your eyes.

OOh - that sounds neat. I love optical illusions and a big one you can walk "into" sounds cool.

ow

Alex 12-07-2011 12:19 PM

Interesting. If I look at it through my eyelashes, the illusion goes away completely.

Kevy Baby 12-07-2011 12:36 PM

That statement is a cranial disillusion

Ghoulish Delight 06-08-2012 04:48 PM

Nothing particularly new in this video, but "well" presented.

"That's because you're eyes at stupid-o's for breakfast".

The cafe wall illusion.

All of these horizontal lines are parallel. And the only difference between the top image (which probably looks more askew to you) and the bottom is the shading of the lines separating each row.
