Anyone heard how long the wait is for Nemo?

I've been visiting some other boards and at the opening today, they said it was as long as 4 to 6 hours. Anyone else have any reports??

Gemini Cricket 06-11-2007 07:42 PM

7

Not Afraid 06-11-2007 07:43 PM

Also gleaned from other boards - 6 hours at 4:00, currently seven.

Mary Blairiffic 06-11-2007 08:18 PM

Holy heck! That's about half of a day's operating hours at the park!

scaeagles 06-11-2007 08:21 PM

Something tells me that's an attraction to hit right when the park opens after being in line early.

I agree. A friend of mine is getting us into the park on Monday -- she works for Disney. I don't know if she can get us in an hour early (we're staying at the DLH), no one seems to know if our early admission privilege (since we're staying at the DLH) can be combined with her silver pass. At any rate, we'll be there, bright 'n sunny!:D

Can you imagine the disappointment after waiting for 7 hours?

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 06-11-2007 09:06 PM

They're going to start having port-a-potty lining Matterhorn Way - I can't imaging the stench coming from a 7 hour line.

Oh well, people set up blankets 2 hours before Fantasmic and Remember - its all crazy.

Not Afraid 06-11-2007 09:12 PM

LIVE UPDATE FROM THE SUB LINE........

Kevy just called, the wait is 4 1/2 hours and, according to a CM, that is the longest it has been all day.

That's still too long.

4 1/2 is way better than 7. I'd be seriously disappointed if I waited that long... but I remember waiting that long for Splash and I think Indy. Much better rides IMHO but maybe there are people out there who think Nemo will be worth it.

Are they really putting porta-potties out there? That's going to be so gross.

My co-workers wanted to know what I thought of the ride. My response "the subs are back". They can take that how they want.

Not Afraid 06-11-2007 09:16 PM

My max wait is probably 1 1/2 at this point. Two if I hadn't ridden before.

CoasterMatt 06-11-2007 09:17 PM

The line's eleventy two hours long, I herd from a very reliable sourse - The churro cart people knoes EVERYTHING!1!!!LOLZOMGBBQSAUCE!!

€uroMeinke 06-11-2007 09:21 PM

On Friday it was an hour and a half wait according to the CM an hour wait according to my watch. The attraction was open to all guests, but prior to the media blitz. I suspect that's what the wait time will drop to after the AP's are done getting their gander. By next year it will look like Monster's Inc, Tower, or any of the other recently added attractions.

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 06-11-2007 09:24 PM

So, the person reporting the 7 hour wait line, by any chance were they wearing red longjohns???

Yes, in tribute to Mary Blair, a mermaid who drowned when she was crushed to death by a passing submarine.

Yes, and she was decapitated while wearing said longjohns and looked something like this :decap:

lashbear 06-12-2007 03:19 AM

Last I checked, Wait time for the subs (for me) is about 6 years.....

After riding it the other day, my max wait for Nemo is 25 minutes... So in 4 years

Perhaps, but I'm thinking that unless it is universally seen as sucktastic (which early reviews don't seem to support) then I would expect it would have long lines for many years to come. Much like splash and space.

Gemini Cricket 06-12-2007 05:49 PM

I wonder if I can go to the park and ride Nemo before I need to start work at 1pm up in Hollywood... The park opens at 9...
Do you think it's possible?

I think so, you'd just have to get there really damn early.

CoasterMatt 06-12-2007 07:52 PM

I think the Subs might go Monsters Inc, once the APs have slobbered all over the portholes a bit.

Tref 06-13-2007 12:33 AM

How long is it?

Its so long that Bob Iger went to the subs before the park opened, and he still needed to get a Fast-pass. Whoa! Hey!

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 06-13-2007 04:00 AM

Today (Tuesday) I rode with AlphaBG and it was less than 2 hours from the ex-smoking area - I rode it a second time at 3 minutes to Midnight and that was just the main que area without going along the lagoon railing and that wait was about 30 min (might have been shorter had the not taken 2 boats out for the night). Seems like late evening, things died down a bit, but the 3-4 times I walked by today it wasn't beyond 120 min wait time listed.

Ghoulish Delight 06-16-2007 05:38 PM

Anyone heard what it's like today? I have half a mind to head over just to mollify my curiosity. But...eh.

Isaac 06-16-2007 06:39 PM

Steve & I were in the park today.

The wait time for the Submarine Voyage was 210 minutes (or 3 1/2 hours).

CoasterMatt 06-16-2007 06:48 PM

We rode last night, after waiting about an hour and a half.

Heheh, but a bargain at ONLY Two and a Half hours if you got there at rope drop!

Holy schneikies! Do you mean it was somehow already 2 1/2 hours and THEN they did rope drop, or do you mean that once the dust settled after rope drop, it stabilized at 2 1/2 hours?

innerSpaceman 06-16-2007 09:11 PM

I mean we got in line in the Esplanade for the turnstyles at 8:00 a.m., got in the Park at 8:09, headed straight for the Subs (admittedly with hundreds of people in the Park 9 minutes before us), and the end of the line was in the Motorboat Cruise area, with a two-and-a-half hour wait from that point.

Really destroyed my Get-There-When-Park-Opens strategy. And who knows how may hotel early-entries figured into the twisted equation?

But one thing's for sure. A lot of us are going to have to arrive next weekend by 6 am to face a two-hour sit in the Esplanade, or deal with a two-hour stand in the Nemo queue if we arrive closer to 8.

Oy.

Mousey Girl 06-16-2007 11:57 PM

Just let me know, and The Boy and I will be there. He can live for a couple of hours on a banana and a breakfast bar. Of course he may not see it that way...

Are you talking about Saturday? If so I'd agree the 2+ Hour wait at opening came from all the Early Entry folks that got in ahead of you. Add to that the stamped caused by the rope drop....

On Sunday with no Early entry and no rope drop things should be a bit more sane. I would say getting in line no more than an hour before hand should do. Hopefully we can get an intelligence report from someone that came to the park this morning (Sunday).

innerSpaceman 06-18-2007 07:02 PM

um, except the Park meet is on Sunday.

Come to the Cemetery Screening of The Haunting with us on Saturday night. Then you can crash at my place for a few hours before we head to the Park before opening. Heheh.

AllyOops! 06-18-2007 08:43 PM

Is the wait time still unholy? Is it really neat-o? I'll miss the mermaids from the old sub ride. :(

Oof. Long lines. :( I'm not gonna lie- I whine like a muthertrucker in the heat. Then, I begin to howl that I'm hungry. Now I'm thirsty. I feel my face melting ala Raiders of The Lost Ark.Then, back to whining & slumping because I just know that I'm nearing death from long-line-itis. No, really. Then, I bitch about anything & everything & swear that I need to sit in the Abe Lincoln attraction all day just to cool down.

I would make everybody cranky. Because I suck. Honest Injun.
;) :p

Mousey Girl 06-18-2007 08:48 PM

We can send you and Nickolas to the Whiner's Corner. You can people watch together.

AllyOops! 06-18-2007 09:19 PM

Hahaha!! You got it. I love people watching and the whiner's corner sounds like my home away from home. ;)
