By the way, your Maine Coon is pretty - and he looks huge. Mine is about 17 pounds - how 'bout yours?
I'll be taking your latest podcast to The Great Movie Ride tomorrow. |
Awesome show, I'm a big fan of They Might be Giants as well.

But, the purpose of my post is that, FS, you really need to share these TMBG segmants wil Mainecoonerhornfan. |
Violet, our Maine Coon, is unfortunately not doing too well. He's normally ravenous, and for some reason, he just stopped eating last Tuesday. He spent 3 days and 2 nights at the vet getting fluids and antibiotics. They sent him home last night with a "guarded" prognosis. He's still avoiding food and isolating. We are not happy campers.
On a totally unrelated but on-topic note, I just finished doing a "Disneyland reminiscence" with Mickeylumbo for the next 'pod. We both figured it would be a 5-minute interview... I had to stop the recorder after 45 minutes. I want more brave volunteers to lend their beautiful and mellifluous voices to the MousePod. |
I do not have either a beautiful or mellifluous voice, but if you ever do an anti-Eisner one, I'm in.
I hope your kitty gets better! How old is he? I love Maine Coon kitties- they are gorgeous, and have such great personalities. |
Vi is about 15 years old. Heather had him since he was a kitten. He's a really good guy - I've always been more of a dog person (in taste as opposed to appearance), but Violet really stole my heart. It sucks to see him sick.
...and I'm not sure if I'll do an anti-Eisner show. Maybe a pro-Roy one? |
Well, I hope the boy gets much better very fast. I am a cat fanatic, and I am always very sad to hear of one that isn't feeling good. ( I have learned to love doggies as well these past few years, but cats have always and will always be my obsession).
Pro-Roy is good, btw.:snap: |

After listening to your podcasts I'd say you're going for a more informative bent instead of a "political" one. You include things for the casual Disney fan. I don't think you need to muddy the waters with negativity. If I were you I may mention certain decisions I may not agree with, etc, but demonizing Eisner may be too far for the people you have listening. I really dig your across the board approach. I only had time to listen to half of the new one this morning and I am really enjoying it so far. The Friendly Indians version of GGG and the Baroque Hoedown as done by TMBG are awesome! I love that you play the more esoteric versions of songs. If you just played the obvious stuff, we'd get bored really quickly. I think your MCing is getting better with each show too. Can't wait to hear the rest. Your talk with ML, that should be awesome. I'll volunteer to talk Disney but I really don't know what topic I'd talk about. That would definitely be fun though. Did anyone else catch the reference to Moonliner's C D B post? I just adore when you mention us. :snap: Edited to add: NA is right - put a link in your sig! |
Actually, I think CP is right- it wouldn't really fit with the type of show you have, although if things go as rumored you may want to have a celebratory show post-Eisner......
CP- Roy was walking a legal tightrope prior to the deadline for nominating a new slate. Once the deadline passed, he was free to do as he wished, which is actively campaign for Eisner's removal. At first, I was confused as well by the seeming inaction on his part, but then a few things were pointed out to me, and I get where things are going, or I hope they go. I think it's pretty clear that a Jobs/Lasseter team is what Roy would like, and I think they are playing a waiting game with Mr. Eisner. Think about it- Jobs still hasn't signed with anyone else, and it's getting very down to the wire for them, as pre-production on toys, etc for upcoming movies usually has to begin several years before the actual release of the movie. I wonder if that isn't one of the reasons they pushed Cars back, in fact. |
HA HA! Just listened to my first MousePod....
Good stuff... Thanks, I'll be a regular listener now.. hehe! |
Jesse ~
i'm hoping that your cat is doing better. my thoughts are with you. ml |
