Iberia Airlines Anyone?

Have any of you flown with Iberia?

Turns out that will be our flight to Spain next month, so we're wondering what they're like. :)

It was a few years ago, but it seemed like any other airline. Nothing fancy.

Am I the only one who sees this post as an oxymoron?

blueerica 07-17-2007 01:23 PM

I don't.

I've flown a lot in my life and lately, more than ever, and I think the comment is more like "People have said good things about this otherwise standard airline." (as in, they don't offer fancy services)

Good question, though - who's had any bad flight experiences lately? I've had a couple, but they've had to do with the person sitting next to me, or something I was at blame for. Any time I had issues that needed to be resolved with the airline, I've had it fixed quickly and painlessly - unlike what I've found in other industries.

Well, I just paid over $800 for a single seat on a plane that most other passengers on board paid between $200 - $600:mad: *

*I bought 3 non-refundable/non-transferable tickets to Florida next month($200 each) and just found out my wife won't be able to go. She told me to go ahead and take Alex without her. I thought, what the hey, I'll bring along one of his friends. Had no problem getting Disney to exchange her passports and meal vouchers into his name but the Airline knew they had me over a barell. Had to pay full fare($600) I agree to the game rules before I played so I guess I can't complain

I generally enjoy flights on foreign airlines more than I do on domestic carriers.

I know some of the people involved with maintenance for Iberia - they've got a fairly young service fleet, and good hours of flight/maintenance ratio.

Disneyphile 07-18-2007 03:21 PM

I just hope they're reputable with transferring baggage, because Disney has us changing planes in Madrid. Ugh. That's what makes me the most nervous.

It's now only 4 weeks and 2 days until we fly. I so cannot wait. I never thought Spain would be my first overseas venture. :D

i hope you'll get enough time to fly to Paris ( Disneyland Paris ) with Ryanair $60 round trip from Madrid .

i never flew with them but my friends did and they're like OK .

Their was delayed by 4 Hours and no Compensations like free drinks or food or whatever .

My friends flew with them from Paris to Barcelona .
