Feed me, Seymour

Hungry for something? Or maybe just craving a flavor?

I am! ... I could really go for some chips and salsa right now. Or skip the chips and hand me a damn spoon. Mmmm.... salsa. Ooh, or Pico de Gallo.

What sounds good to you right now?

Kevy Baby 07-05-2007 01:51 PM

Lunch. I can't think right now. These late lunches kill me.

blueerica 07-05-2007 02:43 PM

I just ate random leftovers. Lunch was a bratwurst with saurkraut, lil' potato salad, caprese salad, and some brie.

Capt Jack 07-05-2007 02:46 PM

thx to Kevy

edit: huh. doesnt show the whole ad.

I suspect that there was something that CJ was linking to that their server makes a substitution on (of their logo). CJ and I have never discussed the Kings (unless we did on Saturday night - a lot of that night is fuzzy in my memory.

For CJ (who is probably not seeing the same thing we are), a simple "LetsGoKings.com" logo is showing up.

None-the-less: I have a fondness for the Kings as the last company I worked for season tickets eight rows off the ice down on the end where Kings were shooting on goal in periods one and three.

Nope, but now I know what is supposed to be there. I am guessing it is something similar to this:

Dem was some good beer!

blueerica 07-05-2007 03:45 PM

Why do pictures work for MY computer and apparently no one else's on a way-more-than-regular basis? :(

It probably has something to do with the whoziwithchit and the watzamajig.

Capt Jack 07-05-2007 03:53 PM

try jiggling your watzamajig and see if it makes a difference. :)

I've always found percussive maintenance to be most helpful

Humm. That sounds like a good excuse... But I think some Let's Go Ducks stuff needs to be posted too. And shiny objects. Ya. that's it :p

No but the sides of their heads may. No excuse. None for this Let's Go Kings crap. :p

And just in case anyone forgot. Stanley Cup Total: Ducks 1. Kings 0.

There. I feel better.

blueerica 07-05-2007 04:00 PM

But, see... if I'm the one who's seeing the pictures that are supposed to be places, and everyone else isn't... shouldn't everyone else be the ones to shake their whoozits?

Perhaps, but I think most people would rather you shake your whoozits than, say, me (unless I'm wearing tight jeans apparently).

Oh yeah... THAT'S what this thread is about.

alphabassettgrrl 07-05-2007 07:09 PM

I'm craving fish.

blueerica 07-05-2007 07:34 PM

Tonight came close to "Weirdest Dinner Ever."

I'm taking preemptive Tums.

katiesue 07-05-2007 07:45 PM

Blue Cheese with truffle infused honey on crackers. I'm addicted.

blueerica 07-05-2007 07:54 PM

that really was good. is it just mixing those two things?

Morrigoon 07-05-2007 08:41 PM

Mmmm... truffles....

As for me, I was craving meat. Alex (who's home now) took me to Claim Jumper and I ordered beef ribs. Mmmmm. Not quite as good as Lucille's beef ribs, but still good.

Capt Jack 07-05-2007 08:42 PM

oooh, I've still got some of that chorizo!!
over white rice I think...

Sushi. Lots of sushi.

Morrigoon 07-05-2007 09:45 PM

All of it.

Sashimi, a tuna roll and a crunchy roll sounds amazing right about now.

blueerica 07-05-2007 10:00 PM

You know, I remember the days before you'd try sashimi. Time does fly...

Right now, I'm craving a glass of wine with some thinly sliced aged parmesan or romano. Gruyere. Yum.

CoasterMatt 07-05-2007 10:04 PM

I'm craving Popcornopolis cheddar cheese popcorn... I have to wait till I get to work in the morning :(

Stan4dSteph 07-06-2007 07:21 AM

Peanut butter and banana on toasted multigrain bread or a bagel.

I bet you also remember the days I wouldn't wear pink or even think about wearing a dress. Or a tight top or do anything cute with my hair :p

Right now I am craving food. I am starving and I forgot to bring something for breakfast.

Yup. You just pour a bit of the honey over the blue cheese and smarsh it around a bit. Bristol Farms is evil with all their samples ;)

Morrigoon 07-06-2007 10:00 AM

Right now, a bowl of Apple Jacks sounds awesome. Or a Del Taco breakfast quesadilla.

... isn't it funny that they'd name a kids' cereal after alcohol?

blueerica 07-06-2007 10:16 AM

MMMmmm, I love their breakfast quesadilla - just so long as they don't put too much stuff inside. I'm typically trying to eat it on the fly, and it just gets to be a little too much. I guess that's what I get for having a Del Taco that loads up their items.

As for the blue cheese with the honey.. I'm really going to have to try that sometime. That just sounds amazing. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone in my immediate future that would try it with me.

BarTopDancer 07-06-2007 10:20 AM

Katella Deli pickles.

katiesue 07-06-2007 10:21 AM

Erica no need to wait on others. I've consumed about 9 tons of blue cheese in the last few months all by myself :)

Mousey Girl 07-06-2007 10:26 AM

I want pretzels, the big, soft ones with cheese dip...

I am craving salt, probably due to the heat, but I havn't been hungry. Oooooh! An Orange Dream Machine from Jamba Juice sounds good too!!!

blueerica 07-06-2007 10:34 AM

Mmm... Katella pickles... when they're extra crispy. Mmmm....

blueerica 07-06-2007 10:35 AM

So, Katie... just buy the blue cheese and the honey... it's a do it yourself project? I'm down with it, just making sure I state the obvious in case I miss it.

Capt Jack 07-06-2007 10:53 AM

its so good. at first, you hear it and 'wtf?' but once tried, youre hooked.

bigtime

Yup that's it. The samples are with the truffle infused honey they have at Bristol Farms. I haven't tried it with just any ole honey so I'm not sure how much the affects the taste. They honey is pricy, I think $16 for a small jar but that will last you about 6-8 wedges of blue cheese. I'm on my second jar :D

They also have these really nice Australian crackers too.

Prudence 07-06-2007 12:37 PM

I'm really hungry, but nothing sounds good to me. :( I don't appear to be craving anything.

Mousey Girl 07-06-2007 12:50 PM

I am thinking a trip to the mall tonight for a Wetzle Pretzle dinner is in order...

Jamba Juice always sounds good! I almost ordered the Orange Dream Machine (which has always been my regular pick) but I've been mixin' it up lately. I'm hooked on the Acai Superblend (it tastes just like a fruit roll-up) but won't drink it anywhere but home (it's loaded with teeth lovin' seeds)

So, as we type, I'm having a Strawberry Nirvana Jamba Juice for lunch. It's my favorite lunch to have! :)

Kevy Baby 07-06-2007 02:26 PM

Tacos for lunch today. The real stuff - not Taco Bell. Two carnitas (hmm... Firefox doesn't know carnitas) and two carne asada.

BarTopDancer 07-06-2007 03:27 PM

I'm having sushi for dinner. YAY!

Capt Jack 07-06-2007 03:30 PM

some kind of weird chicken teri-yucky and white rice for lunch today. seemed ok at the time.

blech...I think its green tea and a pear for dinner tonite.

Morrigoon 07-06-2007 04:36 PM

Dinner will probably be leftover ribs from last night. In fact, almost certainly.

Mousey Girl 07-06-2007 05:06 PM

It is looking like Pretzles for dinner. It is too hot to cook.

blueerica 07-06-2007 05:45 PM

I'm disappointed. I really don't want to eat, and my grandma's been frightening me with her cooking inventions as of late. She's normally a very good cook (hell, before retirement she was - I'm not sure of Disney's terminology - the sous chef in the New Orleans' Kitchen)... but lately. Agh! I hate to begrudge free food, but... ugh.

Right now, pretzels with the blue cheese honey stuff sounds really good. I may have to pick some blue cheese and honey up tomorrow.

OMG - you know what might be amazing with the blue cheese-honey concoction... sweet potato chips.

I'm starting to find that good cooking owes much to good shopping - buying the right, quality stuff to begin with.

Prudence 07-06-2007 10:47 PM

Birthday boy, he who lived in Italy for several years and is a food snob, wanted Olive Garden for dinner.

blueerica 07-06-2007 10:51 PM

Hahahaha! Now that brought a smile to my face.

You know, I do like the Olive Garden salad.

Morrigoon 07-06-2007 11:19 PM

Hey, he lived in Italy for so long... he wants American food for a change ;)

Morrigoon 07-08-2007 11:36 PM

Okay, I'm in the mood for biscuits and honey. Had one today at Plaza Inn and now I have a taste for it.

libraryvixen 07-09-2007 08:17 AM

I was with friends on Saturday night and food network was on in the background. They were showing a segment on Knotts Chicken Restaurant.

Mmmmm... I could go for some chicken and biscuits.

You know you want to. It's the only place I know where you can get the snoopy ice cream bar for dessert.

Morrigoon 07-09-2007 04:04 PM

And fresh, hot biscuits, with boysenberry jelly :)

mistyisjafo 07-09-2007 04:19 PM

Right this moment I'm wanting FAIR food - Corn on the cob, beef brisket sandwich, deep fried oreo cookie, actually everything deep fried! That and a nice big juicy steak.

YUM!

Capt Jack 07-09-2007 04:22 PM

ooooh, good call....steak n spud with a Petes Wicked Ale for the Capt tonite!
*drool*

turns out cleaning the kitchen does seem to have some value afterall, eh?
:p

alphabassettgrrl 07-09-2007 09:44 PM

I've been seriously craving sushi and what do we find tonight when we get home from mountain biking? A message from hub's ex-girlfriend (our usual sushi partner) that she's working days again and wants sushi...

CoasterMatt 07-09-2007 10:01 PM

Boysenberry Punch and Vodka - YUMMY!!

(They sell boysenberry punch concentrate at the Marketplace)

Mousey Girl 07-09-2007 10:25 PM

I fixed Boy grilled mesquite chicken, rice and peas. I was not hungry. The Girls got peas and rice. Hollywog is still pigging out...

After reading this I am so glad we are going to the fair Friday night. I wonder if I can finagle a BBQ steak for Saturday. Or get my roommate to pay up on his bet with the promised dinner at Flemmings.

CoasterMatt 07-09-2007 10:48 PM

You gotta try the Krispy Kreme Chicken Sandwich (with extra honey)...

Not Afraid 07-09-2007 10:50 PM

I think there is still a deep fried snickers bar somewhere in my gut.

Morrigoon 07-09-2007 10:53 PM

I promised myself that this year, I'd do "the fair thing", not just see the Weird Al concert and scoot out.
