Meet 3/6?

Is there a meet every Sunday? I may come up this Sunday, 3/6.

I don't think I should try and organize one but if there is going to be one...

Thanks ahead for any info!

mistyisjafo 02-27-2005 10:52 AM

No scheduled meet yet but just check the Calendar at the top.

MouseWife 02-27-2005 02:21 PM

Thanks, mistyisjafo {wow, that is hard to type without looking at a couple of times!! LOL}

Well, nothing is planned. I can't remember if people just meet every Sunday or what?

I guess I'll just keep checking back....

time for :coffee:

Ghoulish Delight 02-27-2005 02:24 PM

We're plan-free for that Sunday at the moment, and it will have been *gasp* 3 weeks since we've been at the park. I'd say there's a good chance we'll be there, especially with the draw of seeing you.

MouseWife 02-27-2005 06:27 PM

That would be cool to see you guys. I am still working out the plans, the AP's get a great deal on the resort hotels, it is my birthday {I will not tell you which one :D } on Monday. Will I burn in Hell if I tell them {DL} my birthday is Sunday? I will probably go to DCA on Monday but that just ISN'T the same...

I will post if plans change...if it rains, you guys do still go, right? We have ponchos. Rain can't stop us!! Muahaahaa!!

CoasterMatt 02-28-2005 08:00 PM

Well, mine is on Tuesday, but I might get my birthday sticker on Sunday... wouldn't be the first time :D

MouseWife 02-28-2005 08:48 PM

Hey, my sisters birthday is on Tuesday!

Okay, I will boldly go into {wait, where do I go?} *blank* and get my sticker!!! I have never been on my birthday before. Well, I may have gone when I turned 15...that sounds vaguely familiar....many moons have passed...not too clear....

CoasterMatt 02-28-2005 09:17 PM

Just go into City Hall

Either City Hall or the attraction wait time board.

Cadaverous Pallor 02-28-2005 09:54 PM

DL's official policy is that it's ok to get a birthday sticker for a "recent" birthday. It doesn't have to be the exact date. You're totally in the clear.

And yes, it is City Hall. You can also get one at the wait time board at the end of Main Street. I think all "information kiosks" have them.

MouseWife 03-01-2005 10:47 AM

Okay, I will hit up those places. Thanks, I hate feeling like I don't know what the heck I am doing. :D

Well, we are definitely going. The only reason we wouldn't go is if the car won't get us there.

Now time to check the hours, etc. :)

Hope to see you guys!

DisneyDaniel 03-01-2005 12:06 PM

I would suggest getting your birthday sticker inside City Hall. While you're there at the counter, also ask for the birthday phone call from Goofy! :)

MouseWife 03-03-2005 08:38 AM

Aw, a call from Goofy? How cool is that?! Okay, City Hall, here I come!

And, another question for you smart people here, I remember hearing that one Fantasmic! show was better than the other. Either because of less crowded or because of being in a good place to see the fireworks? Or was that only for if you have the balcony/desert deal?

Wow. The Hubster and I haven't been without kids {okay, they are still invited but still declining} since our first anniversary..in 1984!!! So, yeah, Wahoo!

Thanks you guys, again, for your advice. :snap: :snap:

Ghoulish Delight 03-03-2005 09:12 AM

The second show is probably the better one to catch. Everyone clears out after the first show, so you can grab a good spot without having to get there several hours beforehand (only the hour or so between the shows). I'd say the best timing is to plan to be coming from Critter Country or out of the Haunted Mansion at 9:35. That way you're going with traffic, you can move in, find a place next to the rivers (if any CMs try to tell you you can't stay, just tell them you want to see the fireworks, they should let you stay), watch the fireworks, and stay for the next showing.

MouseWife 03-03-2005 10:10 AM

Thanks, GD!

Oo, that sounds fun, a ride on the Haunted Mansion at night! Or Splash! I haven't riden that at night...not that I remember...

DisneyDaniel 03-03-2005 05:37 PM

Ditto what GD said, except there are not any fireworks scheduled at Disneyland right now. Also, Splash Mountain is still closed for refurbishment. Check the "calendar" at www.disneyland.com to see that day's schedule in advance. Have a great time!

Ghoulish Delight 03-03-2005 05:39 PM

oh, right, it's this weekend, isn't it. Yeah, no fireworks. So just head to the river as the first show is clearing out and grab your seat.

Definitely ride Splash at night...great fun! Big Thunder's good in the dark too:)

Isaac 03-03-2005 07:26 PM

Splash will still be closed for refurb Sunday.

Sorry.

UvaGirl 03-03-2005 07:46 PM

:( Nevermind....

MouseWife 03-04-2005 08:56 AM

Oh, I guess I should read the schedule.

Thanks for the heads up about the fireworks & splash.

Hey, what is being refurbished on Splash? I thought it had all been done? :(

Ah...well, by golly, Indy is open, right??

Ghoulish Delight 03-04-2005 09:05 AM

Well, looks like our plans this weekend have shifted. We may or may not make it on Sunday. If we do, it'll be in the evening.

blueerica 03-04-2005 11:06 AM

I'm planning on being at the park late afternoon or evening. I'll already be in OC for another family event in the morning/afternoon.

MouseWife 03-04-2005 11:29 AM

Okay, well, I know what you guys look like. :D If we don't make more solid plans until then.

blueerica~ do you walk around looking like your avatar? ;) Umm. I don't look anything like mine anymore.

I have told the Hubster that I want to try and be in the park early as can be and be there when it closes.

We will be leaving at some point to have dinner. He said he wants to eat outside of the park {DTD}. I am a bit leery that this is his way of getting out of Disneyland and going back for a nap but I will give it a go. So, there will be a chunk of time we are not at the park.

I can't believe we are going to Disneyland just for me.

:snap: :snap: to my Hubster.

blueerica 03-04-2005 09:09 PM

I pretty much do.. plus I actually met you briefly at the UvaGirl meet... So, I'll probably know what you look like... But I basically look like that with longer hair now..

If others are with you, you won't be difficult to locate at all! :D

I won't be able to be there until 4ish, though, as I'm at a family event until mid-to-late afternoon.

MouseWife 03-04-2005 10:30 PM

That is right, I do remember meeting you, briefly. I think you were sitting behind me.

I don't know who will be there yet but I will be. :D

blueerica 03-05-2005 01:30 AM

Yes! I actually sat behind you (due to my late joining)!

Hehe-- perhaps I'll see you Sunday!

-e

MouseWife 03-05-2005 03:04 PM

Okay, I have your cell phone number and surprise, we are leaving a day early. We aren't staying close to the park as I didn't find something I liked.
I am staying near Knotts....I hope we get chicken for dinner.... :D

And, now, my boy is coming so if you are looking for me, I should be two women {my friend who was with me at the Uva Bar is planning on joining us}, my husband, and our {collective} two boys.

Okay, I am hyped. But, I this sudden change in plans has my head spinning so I am outta here!

Ciao!
