More books for the taking

We're getting ready to move in a couple weeks so I am doing a very thorough scrub of the home library, resulting in more books that I would prefer to give directly to people who have an interest rather than Goodwill where they'll probably eventually end up in the trash.

Same as last time, first come first serve. Please respond here with what you want so others know and PM me your mailing address. I'll also be posting this list elsewhere so it isn't 100% that if you're the first here you'll be the first overall.

I've never heard of the book, but Fab had filled me in on the White City, the Fair and some of the stuff that happened there- I think it's a fascinating subject.

wendybeth 09-11-2007 08:03 PM

Thanks, Alex- got mine today! (I really wanted to put a *snap* smilie there, but stopped myself out of respect for our literary benefactor......geeze, now I just wanted to put a grinning smile right there! It never stops!)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading these and will pass them on as soon as I finish to anyone who wants to read them as well.

libraryvixen 09-11-2007 09:13 PM

Alex, I got my books today too! :) I love getting mail at work. I'm also willing to pass them along as I finish!

tracilicious 09-11-2007 11:11 PM

wendybeth 10-17-2007 12:08 AM

I've finished the Rubicon, Devil in the White City and the Ibsen plays, so if anyone wants them please PM me. (Ponine had first dibs on The Devil..., but I am not sure if she got a copy yet or not- just let me know). I am also going through books and will post the more interesting ones here in case anyone wants them.

Thanks again, Alex- I particularly liked Devil in the White City and Rubicon- great books!
