No, he just did a huge favor and volunteered for more punishment.

Since we're on the subject, I owe Kevy Baby - and GusGus - a debt of gratitude I'll never be able to re-pay.

And not to speak out of turn, but I suspect I'm not the only LoTer who feels that way.

So here's to you, weirdo.

How much would a paid advertisement cost? (Hypothetically speaking of course)

NirvanaMan 09-07-2007 11:44 AM

I'll drink to that.

CoasterMatt 09-07-2007 11:45 AM

I'll drink to that, too

With love to GusGus

Kevy was talking - like always - as they rode on to the stage stop for the night. For once, 3894 felt glad of Kevy's talk. Maybe it would take her mind off what she'd just seen. She'd heard the shock in the sharp intake of her breath, felt the way she'd lifted both hands to her face.

So Kevy was awesome. She hadn't known, at least not until he'd shown her, proved it to her, made her awesomely his.

After, they'd walked up the hill to the horses together. By way of distraction, Kevy had pointed out a lizard, the purple bells and white everlasting in the crevices of a rock.

A thought seemed to overcome him. "What do you know?" he'd demanded.

3894 had straightened her straw hat. She was disappearing into herself, she knew that much. Other women might rub their arms up and down, fighting off the shivers. Other women might break into soft sobs. Not 3894.

"Tell me," Kevy had urged, his stare drilling into her. Even now at the memory of it, white anger seared through her.

"You're awesome," she'd managed, looking him deep in the eyes, drinking in a full draught of his manly power. His eyes had darkened as he held her gaze and she'd struggled to hide her confusion. "Awesome, okay?!"

Snowflake 09-07-2007 12:07 PM

Well, 3894 is also awesome! Visible mojo since I can't currently mojo you the regular way!

beautifully written!

MBC told me Kevy sucks, but I refuse to believe it.

Oh wait....maybe he didn't mean that to be that Kevy wasn't awesome. Never mind.

Cadaverous Pallor 09-07-2007 08:58 PM

Kevy is, like, totally rad.

Kevy Baby 09-08-2007 09:07 AM

I have to admit that this thread is a bit uncomfortable for me. I am not sure what I did to deserve such praise. Thank you all for your kind words - I am truly humbled. This came at a good time as I was going through one of those little "do I really make a difference on this planet" moments in my life.

This reminds me that it is not the effort that one puts in to help another, but what that act means to the other person that really matters.

Much love to you all!!!
