Airport Shuttles

Hey gang,

So, what are the suggestions, horror stories and recomendations for getting to LAX for my Disney World trip?

We usually park at the Parking Spot, leave the care there and take their shuttle to our terminal. Depending on how long the trip is, it usually ends up being about the same as a shuttle from home for 2.

I endorse the above statement.

Yeah, the remote lots are a good choice, my family used to do it. Lately I've been liking the idea of not having to do any driving after getting off a plane, so we've been using shuttle services which is also a good option depending on your preference.

And you might get lucky and get upgraded to a Town Car if one of their van drivers calls in sick :D

And, fyi, Prime Time's having a 10% off sale if you book by end of September.

I just took a taxi......but then again I didn't fly out of LAX, I flew out of PDX, an airport that I am only 4 miles from:)

Kevy Baby 09-17-2007 08:25 PM

The entrance gate to LAX is more than a four minute drive from the airport.

thanks for the advice all. I was concerned about parking lots. I didn't wanna come back to a spot with just a hubcap left.

I'll do some investigating!

Thanks! :)

Do not, repeat DO NOT use the Disneyland Shuttle coach.

Ours turned up one hour late.

I suggest the Roommate who has to go that way to begin with ;)

You didn't take MAX? Just thirteen minutes from Parkrose, and it lets you off right at baggage claim!

Just asking.

Another option which friends of mine do is a one way car rental. You pick up near your house and drop at the airport, then reverse on your return.

Also sometimes a car service is around the same price as a shuttle. They usually have flat rates for airport pick up/drop off's. Esp if you have more than one person as they charge by the car not the person.

I suggest a jet pack

FAA and Homeland security frown on that.

I really should. Bus # 23 stops right in front of my house and goes directly to the GateWay MAX station....just can't bring myself to take a city bus to the airport(of course, once in DisneyWorld all I did was ride citylike buses everywhere so what's my problem:rolleyes: )
