I don't feel like downloading and installing the Gimp driver. If you want it - it is yours.

Probably more stuff to follow - I am trying to clean house a bit. No, the big-ass TV will not be one of the items.

20 Gallon fish tank. Filters, sponge bob pinepple, net, even some fishie food. Needs to be cleaned. Will deliver in socal.

• One brown faux suade futon-style chair and ottoman. It's in excellent shape. It's "modern" style with a black metal frame.
• One pair of women's downhill skis.
• One pair of men's cross-country skis.

All items available for pick-up within the next couple weeks, or we might be able to drop off.

More stuff coming available once we move. :)

If only you all lived closer....I have so much crap I'd like to get rid of.

(Actually, it's in great shape, and only a year old, and barely used. It's just... um, not my style.)

I've got lots of crap, too, but nothing anyone would want to travel 1280 miles to get. I am donating a bunch of stuff (household stuff, kids furniture, etc) to a local church that helps out with Habitat for Humanity homes and relocated people that don't have anything. It's all really good stuff, just not what we are using anymore and we'd like to see someone else get some use out of it.

I have two craptastic IKEA triangle end tables that can either be used in corners or put together to form a square and used as an end table.

Small dark wood writing desk with keyboard drawer. From Target. Probably 2 1/2 x 4 (or thereabouts). Pretty plain looking but functional.

We're starting to get enough stuff to hold a garage sale.

I may or may not be interested in the writing desk...

Maybe I should bring a moving van? I could use stuff......nah....never mind :(

Communal garage sale at Kevy's!!!

If anyone is interested in holding a garage sale, my neighborhood is fantastic for them. Our house is also on a corner with no landscaping to speak of. We could have a ball and make some money!

I might have a few items. Not dying to get rid of them, but the convenience of a garage sale might motivate me to clear out some stuff.

I have tons of stuff. I usually just drop it at goodwill because living in an apartment I can't have a garage sale.

Not allowed to have them (as a stand-alone) at our condo. They do community ones once or twice a year, but it always falls on a weekend where I am out.

How old is the mattress?

Hmmm. The matress is probably 10 years old. But, it has spent most of it's time as a guest bed. I actually can't be sure. Is there an expiration date on this thing?

No, it's more about use... and my ability to talk the Boy into it :) (We *need* a new bed, and bigger than our full size mattress)

The mattress has to be the first thing to go since it's in my LR. Not the decor I imagined it would be.;)

Home Depot does. And they let you borrow it (for $) almost any time.

True - they're only like $5 per hour, or something like that.

But - as a friend found out - you have to make a purchase from Home Depot to use it.

uHaul rents trucks and I think it is Enterprise that has been touting their pick-up truck rental for house hold goods.

Yeah Uhaul is $20 plus mileage, which racks up pretty quick

Yeah, I'm also in for the desk. (And need to somehow transport.)

• One huge and heavy reclining sofa, well loved. Must pick up at 10am on 10/20, or it goes to the dumpster. Very comfy - just too big for our new place, and it has to be removed (hoisted from our patio) by the movers, and we can't just leave it on property.

The following may be picked up anytime before 10/31, or it goes to Goodwill:

• Charcoal BBQ ("smokey joe" style)

• White plastic hangers (about 80 of 'em - "tube" style, purchased)

• Men's business attire (name brand/excellent condition - shirts are a size 16 neck, pants are 32, and a blazer)

• Faux suade futon chair with ottoman

• Heavily soiled pair of boxer shorts (found on side of road)

We'll have more to add to the list as we keep unloading the old place.

How heavily soiled? soiled with what? what road? what compelled you to pick them up?

No, not yet.

However, we require that you pass a rigorous test to prove you're worthy of giving them a good home.

The test involves a garden hose, bowling ball, goat head, paddle, and hot pink fishnet stockings. Let me know if you're still interested. ;)

If it doen't work out, is it okay if I give them to my hairdresser's daughters?

I'm not interested in the boxers, but can I take the test anyways?

Hey NA... it looks like the Boy and I will be renting a Uhaul Saturday morning :)

NEW ITEM AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/31:

Compact stereo with 2 speakers (about a foot tall), 5-disc CD changer, dual cassette decks, and AM/FM tuner. In perfect condition.

Of course we could pool all the money earned to have a really swanky party!

Or a comune

OK - we have something to add to the freecycle:

One pair of 6-foot-tall halogen torchlights. They're matte black - we've had them for a few years in San Francisco, but our new place here in LA is all about track lighting, so we don't need 'em.

An old neighbor took our old couch, the futon chair, and BBQ.

And, we're going to keep the stereo for now, because I might have some use for it in my studio.

My old bed is up for grabs:

Queen size frame (Headboard, Footboard, rails) with a washed-pine finish

Full-size mattress set, 9 y/o but clean, box spring has a broken slat on the underside (From being in a queen sized frame)

Also:

Red chair-and-a-half - La-Z-Boy recliner, nearly the width of a loveseat. Very comfortable. In need of cleaning since it was formerly in a house with 6+ dogs. I'd keep it myself, but no room to put it, and I'll be damned if I'm throwing it away.
