Boy & Girl car shopping

In reading the article online about selling cars by sex, the article has this car the Dodge La Femme, which I'd never heard of.

Quote:

The most famous attempt was the Dodge LaFemme, dreamt up by marketers trying to capitalize on the growing interest in automobile ownership among women in the early 1950s. The car sported pink upholstery patterned with rosebuds and came with a matching purse, raincoat and umbrella. It was outfitted with lipstick holders and painted a new shade, dubbed Heather Rose.
I would so totally have one of these! It would be the only time in my life where I would be completely put together with a car to match the purse, raincoat and umbrella!

here's another link for the car

katiesue 11-02-2007 10:01 AM

I want one.

Gemini Cricket 11-02-2007 10:02 AM

And can I just add...
Mini Coopers = Gay!
:D

(I want one.)

CoasterMatt 11-02-2007 10:11 AM

What kind of accessories would they put in a car marketed at the gay buyer?

I want a MINI Cooper, does this mean I'm gay?

Gemini Cricket 11-02-2007 10:19 AM

There's a joke about stick shifts and/or rims floating out there, but it's too late in the week for me to think about a humorous take on it right now...
:D

No, women are exempt.
You would be gay if you drove a Arnold-sized Hummer.
:D

Morrigoon 11-02-2007 10:25 AM

No, she'd be a soccer mom.

I want one of those La Femmes! That's a hawt car!

Probably something like Big Jim Slade and/or the same kind of controls used on the Ginger Device.

BarTopDancer 11-02-2007 11:00 AM

I want a Silverado.

Not Afraid 11-02-2007 11:29 AM

I have a soccer mom car. I love it.

Chernabog 11-02-2007 11:33 AM

Get a MINI! I love love love love love love love love love my Minibog.

Kevy Baby 11-02-2007 11:45 AM

I would love to see SzczerbiakManiac try to squeeze into an original Mini Cooper - it is even smaller than the current one

And while searching for that image, I found a Mini Limo

See? G-ay! :D

Actually, I want one. It's so cute.

€uroMeinke 11-02-2007 12:15 PM

I want one too

Gemini Cricket 11-02-2007 12:22 PM

I've always wanted a black or midnight blue Jeep.
I'm not sure why, I just think I'd look cool in one.

Kevy Baby 11-02-2007 12:24 PM

I actually like the H2. I guess I need to compensate for something.

There are lost of things I'd like to squeeze into—some of them even post of this board—but it's just not gonna happen.

Prudence 11-02-2007 12:49 PM

I want Maggie DuBois' car from The Great Race, but I'd settle for this one.

Ford F-350 Super Duty, not a chance in hell for me. All your Capt. (Although I'd have your Mustang (if I remember correctly) in a hot minute!)

Capt Jack 11-02-2007 01:22 PM

sad to say, the mustang was wrecked this past weekend by its new owner. not to say totalled, but theres no longer a right front suspension on it.

:(

Snowflake 11-02-2007 01:33 PM

Oh, that's very sad! :(

CoasterMatt 11-02-2007 01:39 PM

:(

I mourn the Mustang...

Capt Jack 11-02-2007 01:42 PM

eh, it'll be back. he loves that car too much to let it go. he was terrified to actually tell me but I know his mom gave him wayyy more grief than I ever could

18 year olds and cars. you know hes gonna wreck at least one of 'em (I sure did)

Snowflake 11-02-2007 02:19 PM

Wow, 18 year old and that dream car. Yup, bound to happen and it took guts to sell to him! I'm sure you're right, it will be back, I hope so, it's far too pretty not to have a second or third life.

Capt Jack 11-02-2007 02:24 PM

hes the son of my best friends since grade school. his dads first car was a mustang as well. the kid worked his tail off to earn that car and swore since he was 8 years old (or so) that he would buy it from me when he came of age, so I just "had to" sell it to him (in his mind anyway).

its alright. now he gets to learn how to rebuild suspensions and will surely be more careful. or one would at least hope so

BarTopDancer 11-02-2007 02:50 PM

Oh man!

alphabassettgrrl 11-02-2007 03:52 PM

That much pink scares me, but the Mini-Limo was cute.

I drive the #6 lesbian car choice- the Honda CR-V. Love it! I wish it was a color other than silver though. :: sigh::

(Yes, i mean the car you LoT pervs)

JWBear 11-02-2007 05:01 PM

Yes. the front seat is far roomier than it looks. (We won't talk about the back seat...)

Huh? What? Huh?! I was distracted by your avatar...

innerSpaceman 11-02-2007 05:32 PM

JW Bear needs to be banned from having Avatars. Period.

My bf's dad has an awesome 1969 Mustang ... and he offered to give it to my car-less bf ... but he doesn't want it. Oi.

If the boy has such poor taste, how can he like me??

Wait.

Don't answer that.

I'm sorry.... :(

Kevy Baby 11-02-2007 09:09 PM

So, now I want to know what was in the avatar.

And what was censored in the signature

innerSpaceman 11-03-2007 11:21 AM

Hahahahaha, JW's avatars consist consistently of the most yummy men. It drives me (and others) to distraction. ;)

But I don't really want them gone.

I just want them at my place.

And I have no idea what the censored signature was. I couldn't take my eyes off the body inked gorgeous body of perfect art and nature matchup.

I like slumming it. :)

Capt Jack 11-03-2007 11:39 AM

uh...does your dad need a 'stand-in' son to take the car off his hands?

:D

3894 11-03-2007 02:09 PM

Very cute, Snowflake. However, I see you more in something like this, with leopard upholstery and a Rudolf Valentino lookalike liveried chauffeur.

Very nice! If money were no object and the object were at hand a 1926 packard roadster would do nicely, or my dreamcar of a 1926 boat-tailed roadster although I would not turn my nose up at the Rolls with a nice Italian Chauffeur!

JWBear 11-03-2007 04:33 PM

I'll take one of these:

Ain't she a duesey?

I'm just appalled at myself for getting the reference. Just think of the valuable real estate that tidbit is occupying in my memory bank!

Kevy Baby 11-05-2007 07:45 PM

While looking at a post from CoasterMatt, I came across Gay Wheels.com. For all the homosexuals that didn't which cars were gay friendly, you now have a resource.

And yes, the Mini is one of the top picks/
