Watch for Falling Cows

Thanks to Prudence for pointing this one out to me...

A Michigan couple wasn't hurt when a cow fell off a cliff and landed on their minivan.
The video report is here.

DreadPirateRoberts 11-07-2007 11:31 AM

An udder disaster.

Nephythys 11-07-2007 11:39 AM

Go ahead- milk it for all it's worth.

Meh, don't be jerky. ;)

Not Afraid 11-07-2007 12:06 PM

Now that's a story with some beef to it.

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 12:10 PM

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the moonuever.

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 12:18 PM

Did he make it over the moon?

CoasterMatt 11-07-2007 12:26 PM

I guess now she's ground beef.

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 12:29 PM

I wonder if the insurance will go up due to the higher steaks from driving on that slab of road.

GusGus 11-07-2007 12:51 PM

this thread has made my day:snap:

Nephythys 11-07-2007 01:06 PM

It's very Moo-ving.

Steer your way in here!

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 01:12 PM

To drive is human: to moo, bovine

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 01:16 PM

I guess the cow had no place to hide

Nephythys 11-07-2007 01:29 PM

Can I pre-suede you to stop?

DreadPirateRoberts 11-07-2007 01:33 PM

I doubt Kevy will cowtow to your demands.

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 01:55 PM

Damn domestic Kobe beef.

But seriously, this is a rather tender subject, don't you think?

Nephythys 11-07-2007 01:56 PM

Well that's bull-

I wonder if the accident set off their horn?

I bet they hoofed it out of there!

Chernabog 11-07-2007 02:06 PM

Another slice, anyone?

Chernabog gets it. ;)

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 02:07 PM

Thanks for beefing up my joke there, Cherny ;)

Gn2Dlnd 11-07-2007 02:16 PM

So, these people were out, pasture bedtime, making hay, and a cow piles onto their van? Who tipped the cow? I'd say they're half and half to blame. Two per cent, at the very least.

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 02:21 PM

I herd it landed on the hoof of the car.

Gn2Dlnd 11-07-2007 02:24 PM

It probably wanted to get in, but there was no more ruminant.

Room in it?

Get it?

Gn2Dlnd 11-07-2007 02:25 PM

Get it?

Oh, Commodore. How cud you?

Gemini Cricket 11-07-2007 02:28 PM

I was just thinking, had it been a horse, a lot of people might be saying "Oh, the poor horse." But since it was a cow it's like "Haw haw, stupid cow."
:D

Gemini Cricket 11-07-2007 02:34 PM

What a bunch of bull. I don't want to start a beef about this thread, but I will no longer kowtow to the likes of y'all and steer clear from this discussion. I'm hoofing it out of here. Moooving right along.

:D

Snowflake 11-07-2007 02:35 PM

Poor Michelle, that had to have hurt
:(

:D

That's just the glue that holds us together.

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 02:41 PM

Goodbye cow. Until we meat again. :(

JWBear 11-07-2007 02:42 PM

Would you say that the minivan is now a cattle car?

And... When they phoned for help, was it a cattle call?

Gemini Cricket 11-07-2007 02:44 PM

They should have just steered clear...

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 02:48 PM

Actually, my first thought was "poor cow", but the thread had already taken a punny turn, so I decided to run with the herd.

Ghoulish Delight 11-07-2007 02:49 PM

They should have opted for the ABS ("Anti-Bovine System") package.

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 02:58 PM

One small leap for cow, one giant dent for mankind

Capt Jack 11-07-2007 03:07 PM

who'd a thunk! you cow-pun-chers could go on for so long?

LSPoorEeyorick 11-07-2007 03:08 PM

Seems like it was a nice car. Swanky paint job... leather exteriors...

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 03:08 PM

You should give us a pat on the back.

...On second thought, don't. :P

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 03:11 PM

Well, if they didn't already have a rack on the roof, they do now!

Ghoulish Delight 11-07-2007 04:13 PM

Mousey Girl 11-07-2007 04:38 PM

Looks like Michigan needs to borrow our sign:

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 04:52 PM

No way... you actually have a sign for "watch for falling cows"? That's better than our "watch for flying immigrant children" signs! (or is that just a really good Photoshopping?)

I chewed it over awhile.

Dairymaid any false accusations, and before anyone pints any fingers, I'll butter foot just slipped.

Ghoulish Delight 11-07-2007 05:06 PM

I don't have the 4 stomachs for this thread anymore.

BarTopDancer 11-07-2007 05:09 PM

Wow, there is a lot at steak while driving through that area.

Morrigoon 11-07-2007 05:18 PM

Well, usually when cows fall it isn't a direct hit, they just sort of graze the side of the car on the whey down.

Capt Jack 11-07-2007 05:29 PM

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!

(actually dont. Im laughing my ass off at this thread)

Disneyphile 11-07-2007 05:32 PM

Ah. Just prodding us to continue, aren't ya? ;)

CoasterMatt 11-07-2007 05:35 PM

What this thread needs is....

Brad gets it. Janet gets it. Rocky, you cannibal!

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 05:44 PM

The couple just wanted to some fresh beef and fast service at the drive through

Totally. To drive is human; to flatten SUVs, bovine.

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 11-07-2007 06:13 PM

Well, if it were Pigs flying, I'd be more concerned about the coming end of the world.

I thought the end of the world would look more like this...

Kevy Baby 11-07-2007 07:17 PM

Its the end of the world as we know it and I feel bovine

Not Afraid 11-07-2007 07:54 PM

Moo-jo all around!

Nephythys 11-08-2007 05:51 AM

*sigh* this thread is so Moo-tivational.

Yep, it is an actual sign as you enter the top of the Kern Canyon, on Hwy 178. There was another one at the other end of the Canyon, but it was stolen.

Capt Jack 11-08-2007 09:10 AM

if I can find it, that one may be too

JWBear 11-08-2007 09:44 AM

I don't think you all realize that this whole conversation is mooooot

DreadPirateRoberts 11-08-2007 10:24 AM

What hath LoT wrought?

Morrigoon 11-08-2007 10:28 AM

A gaLactic cowtastrophe, I'd say.

I know exactly where it is...at least it was there before they started blasting away at the canyon again.

The first time I saw it I laughed so hard at the thought of falling cows. Then a cow fell, and it was no longer that funny. It doesn't happen as often as it used to.
