Old Yeller's Pimpin'

Here's what showed up at Ralph's:

Old Yeller Dog Food

and Aristocats Kitty Litter.

I can't wait for Stay Free Minnie Pads!
:D

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 11-13-2007 08:12 PM

How about "Goofy's Lubricated Cotton Candy Rubbers?"

Ariel brand Tuna?

Brother Bear Hambuger patties.

CoasterMatt 11-13-2007 08:59 PM

Is the dog food made from real Old Yeller?

Prudence 11-13-2007 09:04 PM

Given the recent pet food-linked deaths, and Old Yeller's ultimate outcome, I'd be reluctant to buy Old Yeller-branded dog food.

But the Aristocats kitty litter? I'd totally buy that!

wolfy999 11-13-2007 09:16 PM

I'm heading to the store right now.....go figure!

As long as they don't sell Horace Horsecollar brand Glue.

I kinda like the Aristocats.....Kitty litter makes a nice addition to my Aristocat Cat food collection!

innerSpaceman 11-13-2007 11:07 PM

When Pluto starts pimpin' da dog food, then I'll buy.

Alex 11-13-2007 11:27 PM

The dog food has been around for a couple years now so I've had time to get used to it.

But I still think it is a horrible idea.

wendybeth 11-14-2007 01:18 AM

Eh, I gave up on being disgusted when they came out with Mickey Mouse and Friends Huggies.

RStar 11-14-2007 07:46 AM

How about Mickey Mouse cereal and Donald Duck orange juice? Oh, wait.....

LSPoorEeyorick 11-14-2007 11:36 AM

*cough*

LSPoorEeyorick 11-14-2007 11:50 AM

(Though, I've never seen the Aristocats litter before - it cracked me up.)

Gemini Cricket 11-14-2007 11:50 AM

It's funny, this is the first time I saw this and I frequent pet stores and the pet aisle of the grocery stores for fish stuff. I was just surprised to see the big Old Yeller bag and then turn around to see the Aristocats kitty litter.
:D

LSPoorEeyorick 11-14-2007 11:52 AM

Attack of the licensed products! They've got you surrounded...

Exactly. I felt kind of weird taking pictures of the product at the grocery, but I figured what the heck.

Announcer:
"Your dog will get a bang out of Disney's Old Yeller brand dog food."
:D

Snowflake 11-14-2007 12:14 PM

Well, who at Disney thought these were good product placements? I can envision the meetings, what product are can we brand now guys? Cat Litter, that's the ticket, the perfect item for the Disney brand, little Megan will just beg her mommy while crusing down the aisle at Safeway to get Aristocats litter for Fluffy! I mean, sheesh, would Walt have thought of marketing cat litter? It cracks me up and I don't remember anything of this ilk when the Aristocats was having first run!

Not Afraid 11-14-2007 12:20 PM

Just THINK of the marketing possibilities!

Dumbo "is there an elephant in the room" Pink Elephant recovery center.
Alice in Wonderland ward of the Betty Ford Clinic.

Maybe they should build one along side the new hotels at Disneyland?

Nemo Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Gemini Cricket 11-14-2007 12:29 PM

I seem to remember the Disney characters pimpin' cars at one point. I remember an ad campaign with the characters going in and out of cars with Roger Rabbit quality animation...

Now that is funny! :D

If they used a crystal formula, they could form them into all the character shapes.

Disneyphile 11-14-2007 01:27 PM

In our freezer, I currently have Mickey Mouse Ravioli, Incredibles Pizzas, and Mouseket-ears icecream.

And, in the pantry, I have Incredibles microwave popcorn, assorted Disney drink powders, and Chef Mickey soup.

I just finished off my Mickey-shaped cheddar cheese slices about a month ago.

I'm still wanting to find the Mickey-shaped hamburger patties though. I know they exist, but my nearest Ralph's doesn't have them.

So, yeah... I'm a geek.

We have those, they aren't too bad.

Where did you find them? They're currently my holy grail of food. ;)

Wouldn't it be simple to just make them yourself?

Ghoulish Delight 11-14-2007 02:06 PM

What, no Incredibles string cheese?

I had some of those earlier this year. ;) But, they lost importance once I found the Mickey cheese slices.

Gemini Cricket 11-14-2007 02:25 PM

PinnochiO's Cereal

I almost bought you the Mickey cheese slices for your swank burgers, but you requested cheddar, and I could only find American.

Oh, we have Incredibles Oatmeal too. And granola bars..

RStar 11-14-2007 03:43 PM

I have the Mickey pasta.

How about Pluto Hot dogs?

Is this how the blue sky advertising groups sound?
