Time for another meat shower!

Seems like we just had a meteor shower, but lo, it's time for the Geminids. Thursday night into Friday morning will see the best viewing conditions (especially for those of us on the west coast).

But what about the MEAT shower?

RStar 12-13-2007 12:07 AM

Is there a beefcake on the other side of curtain #1?:D

MouseWife 12-13-2007 12:33 AM

LOL yeah, that should be your avatar, Kevy Baby, that shower curtain closed and then opened to reveal the beefcake!!!

{LOL and it better not be you in your bunny outfit!!}

JWBear 12-13-2007 09:35 AM

I was just thinking…. Although figurative beefcake is just fine with me :D , literal beefcake sounds all kinds of disgusting.

Morrigoon 12-13-2007 10:46 AM

But meatloaf sounds better?

Yes it does. good point. (But I still wouldn't want to eat one with frosting on it!)

Well, do you want beefcake or do you want me? Cuz I am FAR from beefcake! More like old rotten cheesecake.

Russet or New?

JWBear 12-13-2007 05:47 PM

You're more of a russet kind of guy.

Morrigoon 12-13-2007 05:53 PM

Or fingerling

*runs*

And even more Meat Showers!

beating Goonie to the punch this time, more meat showers this weekend. Given the storm predictions around here, I won't be seeing them!

Morrigoon 01-03-2008 10:52 AM

Supposed to rain down here all weekend too, so no meat shower for us!

Tref 01-08-2008 09:08 PM

Isn't a meat shower one of the seven signs of the omophagous?

Only if its followed by potatoes and a side dish!

Morrigoon 04-22-2009 12:00 AM

Tonight is a minor meteor shower, in addition to which, about 5am Venus will disappear behind the moon.

lashbear 04-22-2009 12:42 AM

Meatcake: (well... someone had to post it  )

Morrigoon 04-22-2009 01:26 AM

That is slightly off-putting, by virtue of the unidentifiability of the white stuff. What is that, Crisco?

(the meatloaf itself, OTOH, looks great :))

Betty 04-22-2009 06:25 AM

I think it must be mashed potatoes.

SzczerbiakManiac 04-22-2009 08:51 AM

Betty is correct. The "frosting" is mashed potatoes and the red stuff is ketchup.

Perseids time http://www.mahalo.com/perseid-meteor-shower-2009

I had a really hard time finding ANY local info about them. Saw something from the UK for yesterday, and the above link seems to be Hawaii for tomorrow. So, um, you might see something tonight if it doesn't get too cloudy. :)

innerSpaceman 08-11-2009 11:58 AM

Pfft, not in Los Angeles. Bah.

There should be a warning somehow so a person doesn't get a since of Dejavue when reading the begining of a three year old thread.......

 :D

Morrigoon 08-12-2009 12:14 AM

ROFL. Exactly how much is a since? ;)

I just use the same thread because there doesn't seem to be any point in starting a new one each time a meteor shower comes along.

Morrigoon 08-12-2009 12:16 AM

Oh yay! I finally found a clip of the Between the Lions episode that inspired the thread title!

 Isn't that how they call for spirits? No, wait.....

I just thought it funny when I read a few entries, and saw my post and said to myself "when did I post THAT???"
