Hipy Papy New Year !!!!

Hippy Pappy Happy Smaffy Laffy Daffy New Year,
Even though you're counting down,
the new year's been and gone here.
We've drunk cocktails and champagne,
and feel a trifle too queer,
Hippy Pappy Happy Smaffy Laffy Daffy New Year.

See you all at Lisa's !!

Hugs
Stoat and Lash

Happy New Year from the frozen North! We are having a decadent day: went out to the country to my Auntie-in-law's beautiful home, ate French dip and salad while watching the deer and elk stroll through their yard, and then came home and played games for a bit. We just finished having steak, crab and asparagus for dinner, and are now watching 'The Last of the Mohican's'. I forgot how gorgeous Daniel Day Lewis can be.:D

Moonliner 12-31-2007 09:51 PM

10 Min and counting here on the bitter east coast.

Happy new year to one and all!

They broke the Space Needle. I blame Mollywog.

wendybeth 01-01-2008 02:02 AM

What happened, Pru- did the elevator give out?

Prudence 01-01-2008 02:04 AM

"computer glitch" was the claim on KING. Choreographed program died and they had to shoot them off by hand. Them being the fireworks. At least that's the claim.

alphabassettgrrl 01-01-2008 02:07 AM

HNY everybody!!! I'm glad to be home (not at work), warm, and my *comfy* bed is waiting for me. :) Y'all are fantastic and I am so glad to be part of this group.

Be safe everyone!

We just got back a little bit ago from the NYE Swankathon. Quel soiree! Thanks again to Chris and Lisa, our fabulous swankadelic hosts! (and sorry about the spill in the bedroom)

Not a protein spill, I hope!

Stan4dSteph 01-01-2008 09:06 AM

I watched the NYE coverage on the Travel Channel. They had footage of fireworks from all around the world. It was cool. Some of the fireworks in Berlin were set to the POTC theme.

I've got bacon in the oven and as soon as Madz awakens we're off for three days at the parks. So far this year isn't bad.

MickeyLumbo 01-01-2008 10:30 AM

after Stickboy got home from work, we were considering going to the Park for some dinner, before heading to the Launch Pad on our way to the Planet Cone... after a conversation with Bornieo on the cell phone we were convinced waiting in a 50 people line for churro was unacceptable (the Tomorrowland bathrooms by Autopia even had a queue!)

suddenly, it seems i was hit with the symptoms of food poisoning (from my own cooking). ahh, fond memories of 2007 indeed.

but, i know you all had a great time and that's what counts. we'll try again next year.

Strangler Lewis 01-01-2008 01:15 PM

Happy New Year, everyone.

On the "I ain't as young as I used to be" score, I've got to remember to pass on the champagne.

Hangover?

No, reflux. Had me up half the night. Champagne and white wine get me every time, even if I've drunk a lot of water. So next year, I'll switch to port or maybe just stick to bourbon or single malt.

You're welcome.

wendybeth 01-01-2008 01:51 PM

We slept in late and now I'm making bacon and eggs for breakfast.:D

(Or lunch....whatever).

CoasterMatt 01-01-2008 02:24 PM

I threw up in nearly all of the Disneyland bathrooms, and even puked around the world aboard Small World- good times, indeed :D

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 01-01-2008 04:32 PM

Happy New year Lash and Stoat! At the park they played "Land Down Under" and CoasterMatt, Rose and I joined in, in song, thinking of our good friends down under.

CoasterMatt 01-01-2008 04:54 PM

They also dedicated 'YMCA' to some Australian guests, too.
