So, I'm flying out tomorrow night for CES.

Is there anything in particular that any of you would like info on? I can gather brochures, info, and freebies and mail 'em. :)

New shiny fast electronic stuff.

I'll bring back the whole show for ya. ;)

I hope you have a great time. I've had enough coworkers over the years that hate having to go that I've mostly overcome the urge to jealousy. But not quite.

Some day I really want to go to that.

Pack your patience. Getting around is a complete nightmare. I used to have to go to CES for work. One year our booth was next to Disney Interactive - if I never hear "Colors of the Wind" again I'll die happy. Four days of hearing it full blast on a continuous loop.

Next year, I think I'll be attending with 25+ "Creative Advisors" under my company name. I wouldn't be lying! ;)

We'll need a suite. Better book it now.

I'm pretty sure you're going to need a legal department, too.

I'm not sure that 25 is enough.

Ok, then I will fill the following positions by next year:

25 creative advisors
5 legal advisors
15 technical advisors
10 personal sex slaves

Now taking applications. ;)

I did hear about the 150 inch Plasma from Panasonic ("As big as nine 50" TV's")

ETA: Panasonic also unveiled the first IPTV Plasmas

God I hate the guy doing that report. We watch CNet's TiVo cast and that guy annoys the snot out of me.

I like the 1" thick Plasmas. Too bad they aren't here until 2010 and too bad they aren't from Pioneer.

I still don't get the big deal over Plasma screens - a soft picture is a soft picture no matter how damn slim the case it's in is. Gimme OLED!!!

I spent the day with the "minor" work related stuff. (Sorry, work had to come first.) The important research of the day - awesome DVD packaging options, and I scored some free samples. Go me.

Well, and I also got a way friggen cool CG animation program that's been used and approved by a couple guys at Pixar that I nabbed for a $50 show special price... ;) (I'll show it off later after I get home and install it.)

I really wanted to check out the AVN portion of the show, but having my father in tow made that a little too uncomfortable for me. However, next year, I am SOOOOOO there while he's off looking at TVs.

Tomorrow's agenda is the central and south halls of the main convention center, where I'll get to play with fun stuff like cameras, games, etc. :D

Work is not bad... I got into IAAPA because of "work" and i scored a lot of free samples there... and attraction pamphlets and such.

I cannot wait to see what you get to create with the CG program.

I got a phonecall today from a friend at Powercolor- he asked if I still lived at the same address, and said to look for some new toys in the next few weeks :)
