Easter at DLR

I looked at the calander and saw that Easter falls on one of "my" weekends. Since last year's Easter was a day that did not bring me any joy, I would like to do something special, something fun, something different.

Does anyone have any information about the Easter brunch at DLH? I can't find anything on their website. Do they even still do this, or is it just at Disney World?

Either way I still plan on going to DL on Easter. It will tick off my family, but at this point I just want to do something fun with The Boy. The Old People will just have to get over it.

We had Easter brunch last year at Goofy's Kitchen- it was really pretty good. Prime rib, etc, and lots of colored eggs that they let the kids take with them. Didn't notice if they had any organized activities, but the kids had fun anyway.

We're actually going to miss it this year, as we won't be there until 4/2. We're looking at a suite in the DLH though!

I was thinking that, if nothing else, making PS for Goofy's for breakfast and then hitting the park.

This would be his Easter present from me (in lieu of a basket).

It will be a rough one for me, and I just want to do something that will be a distraction.

Well, I think this is a great idea for both of you!

This is much better than a basket if you ask me!:snap:

Heck I'd do both, I'd make him a little basket and pack it in a suitcase to sneak out while he was sleeping. I know they do the brunch over at the hotel and there is the option of Goofys as well. The brunch had a few character 'stations for photo ops and you need to call 60 days out for the ressie cuz both places fill fast. If memory serves the brunch at the hotel (not the Goofys) was more expensive but had more 'high end' food if that makes sense.

I did the big brunch in the ballroom once, it was great.

Whew! I'm sure glad WB is going earlier in the month of April, lest we violate the statute prohibiting more than one Washington LoTer from leaving the state at a time.

Yeah- we'll be there from 4/2 through 4/7. Actually, we fly into LA the day before, but we want to go to Universal Studios first, then head over to Anaheim. Can't wait!!! (My sis, nephew, Eric and myself).

Bobbi says hi, all!

MS, I didn't mean to ignore your suggestion about the suitcase. This will only be a day trip. We will leave here early in the morning and head home when we get tired.

I still have to let his dad know that he won't be around for Easter. Since he ignored his son last Easter I am hoping this won't be much of an issue.

If it's a finacial thing (believe me I can appreciate those) how about making it a surprise trip...put the basket on the table but instead of filling it with costly little things how about just one 'big' plastic egg' with a note inside that says something like grab your jacket ROAD trip?

Well, one of us has to stay behind to uphold the tenuous state of Swank in Washington.

With everything the two of you have gone through over the year, I think this is a great idea! Go have some fun, and think of it as a Celebration of your moving forward. Have a great time! (But do pick up a little candy for the day as well:) ).
