Last Minute Garth Tickets
Not that anyone but me and KatieSue will care (and we already have our tickets) but....I have 5 single seats to the Garth concerts this weekend @ Staples.
None of them are my tickets - in short, my co-worker has 5 tickets that she can't use. There is a stupid long story to go with it that no one really needs to know. Section 334 Row 15 Seat 25 Section 331 Row 12 Seat 17 Section 303 Row 10 Seat 19 Section 318 Row 11 Seat 20 If you want em, lemme know. |

Just a reminder - these are all separate seats. So, if anyone meets any cute straight country boys get their number for me! ;) And if you meet any cute gay country boys get their number for GC! :D |
If you see any freaks that look more like a rodeo clown than a cowboy, that's probably me :)

I think it's really great that all the proceeds are going to the fire relief effort. :snap:
|
I have 1 ticket for the 6pm show tonight. Me, and the ticket are in Stepford (Rancho Santa Margarita). If anyone wants it, they need to be able to pick it up.

The Ticketmaster fees are going to charity. The company that owns Staples Center donated the use of it (they had nothing else going on, so they will be making money off of the alcohol/food sales). But they still donated the actual venue. AMEX donated [I think] $25 dollars for every ticket purchased with an AMEX card. |

I should have had a camera with me tonight- we saw some freaky lookin' people- dudes wearing their "good" camoflauge hats with their Skoal t-shirts, some guy in fire engine red pants and suspenders that looked more like a rodeo clown than a cowboy. I almost asked a guy wearing a Dale Earnhardt Sr. jacket if Dale was still dead.

OMG, last night was right up there with winning the Stanley Cup for best nights of my life.
Just amazing. You guys are in for a great show! |
I don't feel so good this morning... :(
|
Get your butt to the concert then feel sick!

wow! I really had a good time tonght! Thanks BTD and friend for the tickets. Major Mojo.
I'm really not a fan and I really can't stand the "Friends in Low Places" song at all. It ranks and one of the most obnoxious songs ever recorded. And to have 20,000 people singing along to it made it all the worse. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Otherwise, he puts on a great show - some songs I knew somewhat - he sounded great even with the bad acoustics of the Staples Center. My acraphobia was in full swing as I sat in the 2nd to last row at the top of the center, which was otherwise great. Pics to follow! |
Very fun show, thanks for the ticket - I was in the very top row of the Staples Center - the video screen was down below! :)
I took a whole lotta buncha pictures, so I had fun with that, and I got a lot of comments about my outfit. I even had a cowgirl offer to do something 'nice' if I'd give her my jacket. Here's my pics from today - Garth Brooks Concert Adventure :D |
I really enjoyed the concert. Garth Brooks is wonderful live. He still has that great voice of his.
I think the big appeal for me is that he really comes across as an ordinary Joe and kind to boot. (ba dum ching) He played many of his hits and didn't hinder the entire afternoon playing new stuff no one will hear. :D One of the nice things GB did was play to the entire audience. The sides, the seats behind him and even thanked the people sitting farthest away from him. One of the highlights was when he gave a woman in the audience his guitar. She had asked him for a guitar pick and then got a signed guitar from him. Such a cool guy. When Trisha Yearwood showed up, the Staples Center went nuts. Almost giving her a longer ovation than Brooks. She has a great voice, too. Once again, a cowboy didn't disappoint this cowgirl. And, might I say that there were a number of hot cowpokes there today. And, for me, it was a real turn on to see a bunch of cowboys cheer it up for another cowboy. There was even one in the second row giving Brooks the 'I love you' sign throughout the show. (At first I thought it was the devil sign but then I saw his thumb.) Anyway, I thank the Marla for the opportunity to see someone in concert that I've always wanted to see. Gracias, chica. :) Great show. |
Thanks for sharing the pictures Matt, Brandy and I have seen Garth in concert a total of 8 times and he never fails to wow. I did get to watch his special on CBS Friday evening but nothing compares to being in the building when he's 'on his game'.
I think that one of the things I respect about the man is he does put his children above his career...I think his first marriage falling apart was a real wake up call for him and I wish he and Trisha many years of happiness and the same for his ex Sandy. |
Glad y'all had a great time!
I have to say that last nights 9pm show was even better than the 10pm show on Friday. It was amazing! He sang harder (with nearly no voice) and looked even more amazed at the audience reactions then he did the night before. I didn't think it was possible, but he did. He thanked the audience for supporting the foundation - for spending their hard earned dollars to support the foundation and for spending their hard earned dollars previously to "take care of him" so he could put on a show like this that everyone could afford and would go to a good cause. I'd expect to see him tour as soon as his youngest is grown. On Friday there was a bit of unscripted commentary where he said "I love... I love... I love my girls. I love my girls. But I miss the hell out of this!!!!!" |

Swanie and I had sooooo much fun. I have a few pix that turned out. I had gorilla arms guy in front of me and every time I'd get in focus he'd swish an arm in front of me. It was actually a fun challege after a while.
Even if you're not a big fan the guy can put on a show. We had awesome seats - up to the right side of the stage. Cool pix Matt & Mark! |
One of my bigger regrets was never getting to see Garth when he was touring, so after years of waiting I can honestly say that Friday night's show didn't disappoint.
Our seats were awesome, and the concert was fantastic. After having to manage a live TV broadcast, Garth seemed to be excited to be able to just play to the crowd. Having Tricia come out and sing with him and then follow up with "Walkaway Joe" was unbelivable. The crowd pretty much sang the song back to her, which made Garth comment about having to change his name to "Mr. Garth Yearwood." :) All in all, it was an incredible night. Here are my photos from the concert.... http://s236.photobucket.com/albums/f...oks%20Concert/ I'm anxiously awaiting the Garth and Tricia "The Kids are FINALLY out of the house world tour" in 2015. swanie |
I'm so glad everyone had a great time. He is truly one of my favorite modern entertainers, for his keen ability to reach his audiences. I was always a so-so fan of his until I went to a taping (for school, guys!) of Donnie and Marie. He was on, and it was just as the whole Chris Gaines thing was going on, but he didn't show up as "Chris Gaines." He was super kind and just had such a great energy. Though I've never been a fan of country music, and never became a die-hard Garth fan, his songs found a special place with me, mainly because of the quality of lyric and sound, and more importantly his personality.
I have no doubt it was an amazing concert. |
