Oh sure. They pick the BLACK woman to be a slave character. How appropriate. ;)

J/K

Um......yeah, rather blah.

Ponine 01-25-2008 02:51 PM

All right MousePod....
Lead me to the full size downloads baby.

And GC, I dont love them, like I did the others, but I like Whoopi's

Snowflake 01-25-2008 02:53 PM

I'm with you on these, meh.

innerSpaceman 01-25-2008 02:59 PM

I hate the Whoopi one. It's lame. The other, well, it only rises to 'meh', despite its flying carpet abilities.

katiesue 01-25-2008 03:16 PM

I'm not crazy about them. Is it just me or does Marc Anthony always look like he belongs on a wanted poster in the post office? I find him creepy.

Ponine 01-25-2008 03:20 PM

But I must have the complete set, you understand. Regardless of how much I may not like them in comparison.

LSPoorEeyorick 01-25-2008 04:30 PM

I say, I say!

I think know what the problem with those photos might be. There is waaay too much gold lamé. Why is Whoopi not wearing blue; why is J-Lo not wearing purple? And if they were not going to wear blue or purple, why not some other fabric that does not look like it belongs on a $5 hooker?

Prudence 01-25-2008 04:37 PM

They didn't show the other one! Isn't there another new one of Peter Pan that doesn't make me want to go all barfy?

Brigitte 01-25-2008 04:58 PM

Here are all 4 released yesterday.

LSPoorEeyorick 01-25-2008 05:12 PM

OMG! Tina Fey as Tinker Bell! I so want to see that movie.

Cadaverous Pallor 01-25-2008 05:24 PM

Um, The Boy Who Never Grew Up??? You have to be kidding. And Tina Fey so tiny you can't even see her. What a waste.

Marc Anthony isn't quite fresh-faced Aladdin. I'd dig JLo but LSPE is right, the costuming is baaad. Whoopi's is actually ok by me, but yeech, I'm so sick of her in relation to Disney.

innerSpaceman 01-25-2008 05:47 PM

Um, I think Mikhail is a little long in the tooth for Peter Pan, and that pose ... well, while appropriate to his profession, looks a little too gay on a Peter Pan that freaking OLD.

I like the Pocahontas one.

The Aladdin ones ... well, Genie, I wish them GONE.

Not Afraid 01-25-2008 07:20 PM

Mikhail.....yummy. Pan could only HOPE he looked that good at that age.

Prudence 01-25-2008 07:25 PM

I'm with NA. That Peter Pan can fly into my window any night. I <3 Mikhail.

On top of a sailor wearing a $2 wristwatch.

NickO'Time 01-26-2008 11:24 AM

Whoopi as the Genie? Pleasssse. :argghh:

CoasterMatt 01-26-2008 11:28 AM

I kind of like the Jasmine/Aladdin one, but Whoopi wished to be a man? Who knew? :)

Yes, I like it somewhat. Peter Pan is supposed too be old? I'm not sure what Ms. Leibovitz was thinking.

Gemini Cricket 04-25-2008 09:33 AM

For Bornieo?

innerSpaceman 04-25-2008 09:39 AM

Heheh, love how they've water-blurred King Triton's Penis Castle in the background.

Morrigoon 04-25-2008 09:50 AM

I like that one.

JWBear 04-25-2008 09:56 AM

Welcome back GC!

Hmmm... I'd like to see the behind-the-scenes pictures on that one! :D

I laughed at the background merpeople: the merguy with the bald head and the other one that looks like the Rock.

While not behind-the-scenes at the photo shoot, I do like this one:

mousepod 04-25-2008 10:27 AM

I love Julianne Moore - what a great shot.

New desktop for me!

Chernabog 04-25-2008 10:53 AM

Has anyone found where a desktop image of the mermaid one is? I love that shot!

Your wish = my command

Alex 04-25-2008 11:10 AM

I'm going to have to be the outsider on this one. I've liked most of the others but this one looks like a bad Wyland mural. Like maybe he paired up with Thomas Kincaid.

"Master of LightTM - UNDER WATER!"

I personally wish for fewer mermaids - the main two would've been fine. More fish would've been more interesting to fill the screen, if they needed to fill the screen. (I'd have liked a Prince Eric, kinda, too.) But it is pretty.

Gemini Cricket 04-25-2008 11:52 AM

James Gandolfini would have made a great Prince Eric...

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 04-25-2008 01:54 PM

It falls flat for me, though I am now kind of hungry and in the mood for some tuna. Mmm. Mer-tuna.
