innerSpaceman 02-14-2008 04:58 PM

ok, because it looks kinda cool (despite the stupidest title ever) ... i think i'm going to go all spoiler-free on this one.

ahem:
Spoiler:
Um, but did that seem like a scene takes place in the same mass storage room where the Ark of the Covenant is warehoused??? That would be teh awesome!

Spoiler:
It's totally the same warehouse. The crate in the poster is supposed to be the ark box...

Chernabog 02-14-2008 05:04 PM

Psssh. Fine! Everyone watch Kevy's trailer. In HD. Don't watch Brad's, his stuff is crap!

I'm kidding.
:D

I started downloading the "1080p" version 9 minutes ago. It is about halfway done.

And I am on a T1

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 02-14-2008 06:03 PM

Woo HOO!!!!

Mr. Ford looks great. Me thinks he's had some work done since Firewall. Cannot wait to see Karen Allen in an Indy movie again.

True, stone cold Russians opponents aren't quite foe the Nazis were, but I'm game. Cate looks badass.

I only hope the CGI doesn't overwhelm, and I hope the stunt work is mostly *actual* stunt work.

Go, part-time teacher, go!

scaeagles 02-14-2008 06:05 PM

Looks like fun.

Gemini Cricket 02-14-2008 06:06 PM

I want to see a huge fight between Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen.
:D

BarTopDancer 02-14-2008 06:44 PM

Oooo! Looks like it's gonna be good. Ford looks amazing!

Alex 02-14-2008 07:58 PM

I thought he looked old, particularly in the first shot he's in. But regardless I'll be there in person to either be made very happy or severely disappointed despite purposely setting my expectations very low.

Cadaverous Pallor 02-14-2008 08:03 PM

Wow, I was surprised how excited this made me! Ihopeitsgoodihopeitsgood...

Interesting how Mr LABOOF has only a tiny motorcycle presence on there...

CoasterMatt 02-14-2008 08:12 PM

I can't say much more, but I saw the trailer in EXACTLY the sort of place you'd want to see it, then returned to work in a giddy state.

Spielberg's living room?

Moonliner 02-14-2008 08:51 PM

I'd say it was definitly THAT warehouse.

Oh and did anyone else notice....

Spoiler:
The crate marked "Rosewell New Mexico" with magnetic properties. Hummmm...

BarTopDancer 02-14-2008 08:58 PM

I wonder if he will battle snakes or spiders. My guess is on a pit of snakes. Or maybe spider eating snakes. Or snake eating spiders.

/shiver. I just gave myself the heebie jeebes.

Moonliner 02-14-2008 09:04 PM

I just watched (freeze framed) the HD version which by the way loaded in just under 2min. Ya gotta love FIOS....

And....

Spoiler:
We definitely have a space alien theme going here. He's in Area-51 for the "Not as easy as it used to be" line. All the soldiers I saw are US Air Force. And the crates in the "warehouse" all seem to have Air force markings. The rocket sled build into a bunker looks interesting also. Why would you put a rocket sled in a bunker?

Sub la Goon 02-14-2008 09:24 PM

I liked my title better:

Indiana Jones and the Kid from Even Stevens!

Also, is it me or are they putting in scenes that look like the ride at DL?

Isaac 02-14-2008 09:52 PM

What's with the spoiler tags ?
If someone doesn't want to hear spoilers about Indiana Jones 4, I doubt they'd read a thread about the movie, such as this one. That's just common sense.

I like the trailer, but trailers can be deceiving.
Yeah the title is absolutely $hiteous !

NickO'Time 02-14-2008 10:34 PM

I will be glad when it finally arrives. Thanks for the links guys. The preview has some great moments, but I just hope they don't give away too much.

Agreed the title is weak.

Moonliner 02-15-2008 05:35 AM

So I take it the buff LeBuff is being groomed for Indy-5?

Sub la Goon 02-15-2008 07:59 AM

Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Grecian Formula?

Has it finished yet?

At the office, right now, drat it, we do not have the current version of flash, so I can't watch anything.

DreadPirateRoberts 02-15-2008 08:08 AM

I'm looking forward to this one.

Well speaking just for myself, I used them because I'm just so damn clever.
I was able to discern all the major plot elements from the smallest fragments. Anyone else reading my post without the benefit of such exceptional deductive reasoning might feel both disappointment in knowing about the movies plot and have feelings of inadequacy for not being able to see these things for themselves.

I short, I do it as a public service.

OK fine, so I was really just being a good little sheeple and following what the heard was doing....

Cadaverous Pallor 02-15-2008 09:28 AM

sheeple sheeple sheeple

Great observations on the trailer. On a second viewing, it was obvious they wanted us to notice all those things.

Alex 02-15-2008 10:04 AM

Apparently there is some digital removal of guns in the American version of the trailer that hasn't been done for international versions.

Well, at least they weren't replaced with walkie-talkies.
:D
