Happy 200,000 LoT
 

Earlier today (at 12:05 p.m. PST to be precise), the 200,000th post was made on the Lot.

It is post NUMBER 200,000. Yes, there are approximately 199,519 posts as of this post (according to the bottom of the main page) or 195,995 posts if you add up all of the posts listed. But before anyone gets up in arms, read the discussions we had on the topic we had in when we passed the 100,000 mark.

The first (public) post on Lot was on made on January 8, 2005. We hit the 100,000 mark on October 9, 2006, That was 639 day span which gives an average of 156.49 posts per days.

It only took 528 days for us to get the next 100,000 for an average of 189.39 posts per day. Glad to see we are picking up the pace.

And all without the help of an "Either/Or" thread!

And I see that Moonliner has picked up the pace from 0.01593% of the overall posts on this site to 0.016535% - congratulations!

3+ years to get to 200,000. Pffft. I have that many unread posts when I visit MiceChat on a quarterly basis.;)

For perspective I too a look at MC's post count.

And we think the "Soooo...." thread is bad!

And here's a thought: the "Soooo...." thread represents just shy of 10% of all posts on the LoT.

Actually, I checked and you are off by a factor of 10. It is "only" 2,600,000+.

Maybe you missed typing a decimal.

I wonder how many of the posts at the site mentioned earlier are from the VMK teen section? There are probably thousands of pages of "Who is Miley's biggest fan?" and "My parents are so mean!"

I get a headache just thinking about it.
