Bill & I have been going for several years. We're planning on going this year on Sunday, May 4th. Anyone else want to join us for a swanking?

Funny, though ... for the most part ... modernism isn't so modern anymore. But i still LOVE the style.

Don't confuse modern with contemporary or post modern

Well, from the look of the photos, there was quite a bit of post-modern mixed in with the modern.


I thrill to both, so all's good.


Maybe I'll dress contemporarily to bridge the gap. :iSm:

Ooooh, thank you. I knew there was something about that date. But I'm always double-booked so it doesn't bother me so much.

Are we talking Saturday or Sunday? I wanna go, but have to plan my weekend around it (I wanna take my ex to Disneyland the other day, since Wendybeth was kind enough to give me her unused 5-day passport remant ... but it expires on the 7th, so we have to go this weekend. Wow, she hasn't been in years!)

Great show! Lots and lots of eye candy followed by a wonderful dinner and a visit by Boss Radio and a quick shopping excursion on 3rd st. Great day!

About three quarters of the way through, I hit aesthetic overload. So many stunningly beautiful things. Ugh, a nice quanity of good-looking gay men didn't help either. And rich, too ... unless they were posseurs like us.



As I said right after the show ... I've always wanted to be fabulously wealthy - - and now I know why.

What IsM said is true; lots of pretty things to see... And there was furniture and art too!

I do think we have decorated the entire LoT commune though. Now all we need is a few million dollars.

Plus the funds to refloat a beached Ocean Liner somwhere along the coasts of India.

Sadly, it would be far cheaper to build a new ship.

Ooooh, to our own specifications. Right now, I want the floating version of Tony Stark's Malibu swank pad, as featured in IronMan.

So, what would the Swankitania look like...

Hmmmm.... I have next week off, and it looks like we're not going out of town as planned....
