While the campers are away... the "..." will play

So... the campers are packing, leaving, or driving at this point,
and they all think we wont talk much while they are gone....

so now what?

What time is it in Aus Stoat?

And what should we all do for the next six days????

And why oh why do they get to play with radios and we dont?

Mousey Girl 06-04-2008 10:37 AM

I be pouty.

I want to go sososoooo bad. I was even thinking of just going up for the day on Saturday. Instead I get to pick up Boy from the Others and take him to a b-day party. *sigh*

JWBear 06-04-2008 10:39 AM

I'll be pouty and depressed too.

Let's post embarrasingly photoshopped pictures of the campers while they're gone....

Snowflake 06-04-2008 10:40 AM

Well, poor planning and no camping gear at all on my part.... I'm not pouty, but I am jealous! The weather should be gorgeous and I'm expecting loads of pics!

In the meantime, we need to keep up the conversation and have fun doing what we already do!

Stoat needs to have a LoT gallery show, for starters!

BDBopper 06-04-2008 10:58 AM

I guess we will have to muddle through somehow. We really have no choice. I do suppose it is harder for some than others especially for those on the blessed West Coast. Us Bitter (and in my case Not-So-Bitter) East Coasters are used to being left out fun things like this. It's okay though cause we get to live vicariously through trip reports and pictures. Unfortunately we have to wait until they return.

swanie 06-04-2008 11:26 AM

I've spent the better part of the last day trying to figure out a way to dump the kiddos and the puppy so I can go this year.

So, here's my last ditch effort...anyone want 3 kids and a dog for a few days? ;)

swanie

Chernabog 06-04-2008 11:28 AM

Haha don't worry, they're going to be all stinky and sleeping with bugs. I know this from experience. ;)

wendybeth 06-04-2008 11:41 AM

It's cold and rainy up here right now, so I just imagine that's what they're camping in (even though I know it's not) and I feel better. So, what we need to do is start placing bets on what goes down during their trip. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that KB will wind up pantless within 24 hours.

Nirvanaman will beat him to the punch by 23.99 hours

Ponine 06-04-2008 11:45 AM

24 hours????
No no no.... first campfire honey. FIRST campfire.

Capt Jack 06-04-2008 11:54 AM

I though that was a given. this IS a nudist camp...isnt it?

This time, we're a 15-minute walk to the showers. :p

Wait, I thought we didn't need clothes? Oh crap. Better do the laundry after all then.

BDBopper 06-04-2008 12:04 PM

I wish I could draw cause I just got the coolest picture in my mind if I could get it on paper.

Picture Swank Camp during the day. Grass is green. Sky is blue. Lots of nice trees and tents on the ground. There's a picnic table in the middle and everyone is dancing around it. There's a rainbow in the sky and doves are flying through the air showering our friends with BACON.

Dang I don't know what drugs my imagination is on but I want some! LOL :D

I imagine it will be something like this:

But the reality will be more like this:

Bring it on :) I'm taking 5 kids fishing this weekend instead. What's 3 more?

I'll be right by. Will you be waiting outside again? :p

Brigitte 06-04-2008 01:29 PM

Sure thing :)

alphabassettgrrl 06-04-2008 01:31 PM

I just don't want to make the drive up to the campground and I don't know what I'd do with my hounds.

But tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland.

Chernabog 06-04-2008 01:35 PM

Hahaha JWBear those pics are rad.

Any way though, I still don't wanna go camping. Maybe if I get coupled with someone and he gives me morning head, I'll reconsider. ;)

If I was living in SoCal I'd be you camping buddy. And while we wouldn't go that far I'd let you snuggle with me if it made you feel any better. I'm a flexible and understanding chap...but a Heterosexual chap.

Ponine 06-04-2008 01:52 PM

All right Stoat,
tell me about Waiwera bottled water.
What is it? Why is it special? and WHY pray tell is it being imported into oriental grocery stores?

belleh5 06-04-2008 02:46 PM

I'm still trying to find a sitter, so I can sneak off for the weekend. I'm so jealous!! :p

Have fun everyone!!

Have you asked Brigitte yet? :D

innerSpaceman 06-04-2008 03:08 PM

Aw, Cherny, why didn't you say so before? I would totally blow you every morning of Swank Camp. Sheesh, without question. (Although some reciprocation would be nice.)

Both my gay camping buddies dropped out ... well, one got appendicitis, and the other is still camping, but won't be bunking with me. Sigh, no one to blow in the mornings.

Chernabog 06-04-2008 03:20 PM

Yeah, I've realized over my long, hard years I like it in the mornings soooo much more than the evening tussle. As long as we both use mouthwash first. ;)

Hahaha I can't believe we're having this conversation on the web. LMAO iSm, you rock... courtesy BJs are still damn good (you know, just as a courtesy, lol) Hey was Keith supposed to go camping or did you suddenly have two friends with appendicitis??

And oddly enough, I'm probably going to be hanging out this weekend with my ex from HIGH SCHOOL whose name happens to be BJ (William Joseph, but everyone always called him BJ). And I'll be marching with the gay lawyers in LA Pride this Sunday, if any of the non-campers want to hang out too!!

I wouldn't call iSm a bug, per se.

Wai-wha? Stoat, what does she mean ???

And as for iSm and his morning 'intentions' ..... We're still swimming......

Ponine 06-04-2008 04:06 PM

I bought water at the Japanese grocery today
Waiwera Infinity

Product of NZ

I figured that you would be FAR more familiar with it, and might know why it swam all the way across the ocean to be here.
(the bottle was cool, and I thought that the boy would like a bottle of water from NZ)

innerSpaceman 06-04-2008 04:07 PM

Huh, is L.A. Pride separate from WeHo Pride, or is WeHo pride this weekend?

And speaking of what a Ho We be, yeah that was Keith who was maybe going to be my camping buddy ... but I'm not sure if he suspected he'd be waking up to morning BJ's.

Ponine 06-04-2008 04:09 PM

my understanding is that they are the same. and WeHo/Los Angeles pride is this coming weekend.
Emphasis on the WeHo

lashbear 06-04-2008 04:14 PM

Who put the "Ho" in WeHO ?? :D

Well now that THAT cat's out of the bag.... ;)

Haha well maybe I'll keep a running tally of how many I get here in LA and let you know on Monday. (And yes, LA and Weho Pride, known as "Christopher Street West" are the same thing)

innerSpaceman 06-04-2008 05:03 PM

Oh frelling BAH, I wanted to go this year. It snuck up on me. (Truly it would have been a competitor to camping ... I really want to celebrate gay marriage being legal in California!!)

alphabassettgrrl 06-04-2008 05:11 PM

So pride's this Sunday? I am so out of things.

I know!! The lawyers are gonna be popular this year :) :)

abg, come meet me on Sunday then!!!

CoasterMatt 06-04-2008 07:21 PM

I'm going to see George Clinton tomorrow night, Chicago on Friday night (Hi Mark!), and I'm trying to see what I work into Saturday night- it's gonna be a good summer concert going season. :)

Hmmm...Waiwera Infinity water huh?

I will ask SusieAnne Krellingshaw  to write a research document on the subject shortly, as she is currently studying the phenomenon of people buying bottled tap water in designer containers.

I'll let you know when I receive the document.

Love and hugs,

The Stoat XXX
